Great Reveal! I would say colorful spiders would be more popular than realistic. I worked on the dragon pattern some more and found the best solution was to surface crochet the bobble stitches at the very end. It's super easy to do. Just slip stitch where you want bobble stitch, chain 2 and follow the BO instructions in the same stitch. Finish with a slip stitch in the same place, cut yarn, tie knot, and hide stings. You can do all the spikes and horns this way. See if this helps. 😊

I don't think Gennas stitches are wrong. However, she and others need to specify in their patterns how they are doing the decreases so the pattern comes out for everyone. I've used that decrease in other patterns, and the end results came out right.
As we know, it's a huge bummer when we buy a pattern. No matter how hard we try or read it, it's just not right, waste of time is very frustrating.

I think you should make some realistic looking spiders (like wolf, Black Widow, Tarantula), but also some ‘cute’ spiders in pastels to make them more appealing to those that are creeped out by them. I can’t wait to see if the Genna dragon done with her own brand of decreases (because let’s face it, she does it WRONG! 😂) finally works per the pattern! On the other hand, your purple dragon with the fur strip and better wings looks 100% more adorable!! I think a tutorial video for your wings should definitely happen!! As for the Snuggle Bean dragon, I’m so jealous that you got to test both of the dragon patterns! Of course I ran right over and bought it as soon as it dropped. I even bought the yarn I need to make it a Spyro so that I was ready to rock once the pattern dropped! Your baby dragon is adorable! I hope you have a wonderful week!

Hi there! Your spider and whale came out so cute. Just wanted to let you know I ended up buying the dragon pattern. I made 2 using #4 acrylic yarn, I always make my first time patterns with regular acrylic yarn because I can see the stitches so much better then when I use Chunky yarn. I use the yarn under and use the same decrease the way you do and the pattern was spot on for me. Just an idea, maybe try using an acrylic yarn and see what happens. I know she uses the Chunky yarn too but since you already have done the pattern several Im sure you have it memorized lol. Give it another shot 😊 the acrylic yarn dragon came out super cute too. Btw I used 4mm hook. Hope it works out for you. TYFS ❤

Robyn, I really hope you figure out that pattern. I have multiple patterns that have all done the same thing. Everyone says it's a tension issue. So I took one pattern and made it 13 times using different sized hooks and different thicknesses of plush yarn. Only one worked exactly as the pattern was written and I seriously believe that I probably made a mistake on it cause it was one of 3 made with same hook and yarn. Lol Good luck!

Smores Dragon woohoo yummy, my sister's husband made us smores while we were camping (he moved to Australia with my sister and their children) and it was the best campfire snack Ever
This is a lovely dragon and I just purchased it not 1 hour ago after watching Heather's makes, I don't think I'll have time to make before my next market but I did get 2 dragons from Genna's pattern and I had to change up the placement of legs and spikes on both.
The whale I've made in rainbow colours and I'm obsessed, you need to at least make on mum to see how the pouch is placed to hold the 2 babies but then that means you need to make 2 babies and you might just get obsessed with making those cute little creatures.
I'm so glad you made the spider because I have been very curious about it but spiders are also scary to me plus they set people off and may stop them from even coming near your setup but I'd make them in fun colours to try and counteract the scare factor for a lot of people but then there would possibly be people who are willing to custom order in the blacks reds purples. I love the purple on the whale,, I have that colour but I don't want to use it because it's so pretty.
