    I have noticed on these kind of UA-cam videos that they use very large planks of lumber. I wonder how many old growth forests are lost to these expert carpenters

      A tree grows in a forest for a thousand years. It gets turned into piece of tasteless decoration for some rich dude. Doesn't make sense to me!

    I could be wrong, but I think it's time to sweep up those thickness planer shavings! Those are cool and all, but what are they used for?

    What tree does your timber / lumber come from? it's very red.

    • @dominangel23
      @dominangel23 3 роки тому

      Looking at a ot of it I'd say it's Padua which is quite a white/creamy wood with a nice grain pattern but quite bland in its natural state. Most of that red seems to come from the stain/finish they use to get that deep red mahogany effect.

    Imaginem a idade da árvore que foi usada para confeccionar as peças. 300 anos? 350 anos? China! Não existe um pingo de ética!...

    Am I the only one who is disturbed by the misuse of the word 'monolith', which translates literally to 'single stone'???😵😵😵😵

    • @dominangel23
      @dominangel23 3 роки тому

      How about "monoblock"? Same difference. Translated to "Single Lump of Wood".

    Are they trying to make the great wood to become trash?
    Every time I see great pieces of wood to be cut into small pieces I feel hurt

    I would fire some of these knuckle heads using my equipment . I guess this is how you all get cheap crap made risking workers safety . I hope you all looking for that rustic look because once they move to a dry climate they will split . I could had built two out of the same amount of wood ..
