- At least 15 workers are feared trapped after an under-construction building collapsed in Bengaluru’s Hennur area on Tuesday, following heavy rainfall. The city has faced severe water-logging due to consecutive spells of rain, with more downpour expected until October 24, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Rescue operations are underway.

If the building collapses when it hit rains and the wind blows, how strong would be soil of the construction be!? If the family had settled in the entire 7 floors after the construction possibly had completed, many lives would have been lost !

This is scary.... I can see people have commented that low class builder .. no engineers involved or proper approval is taken. The reality in today's India that even if you invest money with class A builders , it doesn't guarantee that you will get a quality construction. This is not the case only with builders. It's with everything you can think of, medicine, vehicle, cloth or daily use products. Nobody is scared of anything now a days like loosing the brand reputation in the market, OLA's Bhavish Agarwal is one of the best example. It shows that how arrogant they are. People are also left with no choice in the market. Even if anything happens, these company owners know that Govt will back them up. If Adani's corruption would have been exposed a decade ago it might have shaken up the market and the Govt. But now... you know...

Great escape for the people who ever have booked their flats, in this toy building. 2014 Pourur Chennai under construction flats named faith & belief collapsed and people have booked their flats were asked to continue their emi by banks

We are looking at the effects that corruption and mismanagement have on our cities. In the 70s and 80s, the municipality made sure people adhered to its zoning laws and construction standards. Today all ethics have been thrown out the window and money and greed have its place.
