1:00 At this point just sleep on a perfectly made bed, and use a comforter as a blanket. When it's inspection , just fold the comforter and stow in in the closet.

Great stuff. We had a 2nd classman who just returned from sea and he stuck all of us plebes. Tap the faucet in the head to be sure it's dry..etc. Joe Rizzo, who later had some fame in the NFL, told him to take it back, and of course he did. Best not to argue with Joe.

PBMS123 3 medals worn by the midshipmen in the video: red/yellow = National Service Defense Medal, rated by all active military personnel since 9/11. Midshipmen are considered a form of active duty. Middle ribbon (navy blue and green) = rifle marksmanship ribbon. Outer ribbon (navy blue and green) = pistol marksmanship ribbon. All plebes undergo firearms training during their initial 6 week summer "boot camp", providing an opportunity to earn either Marksman, Sharpshooter, or Expert qualification on both the 9mm pistol and M-16 rifle. Only the Expert qualification is an actual medal for firearms training, the others are worn as only ribbons.

And there's the 1st Classmen that would enter your room right before the inspection, keep you at attention and rough the room up on you, stepping out just as the inspection begins. One of them did it one time too many. I waited for my chance, purchased a bottle of skunk juice and lobbed it in his room just before inspection.

What prompted me me change rank structures was a new 1stLt performing a USMC IG Alphas inspection and claiming dust on the EGA buttons and inside the nameplate letter grooves in an attempt to claim attention to detail. 30 yrs of service retired that started Nov 1983.
