    • @killwalker
      @killwalker 9 місяців тому +5

      Lifelong Bret fan here, ...
I can now see the logic in the phrase "Bret Screwed Bret".
Bret wasnt willing to radically change his gimmick, visually or otherwise. Keep in mind he was only a heel, in The States. During his heel run with the Hart Foundation. The classic Anti-USA stuff
Plus, he didn't want to go to WCW, he wanted to stay in the WWF.
Vince wanted Shawn to go over in Montreal. Bret would not put Shawn over after their recent (at the time of course) little chat where Shawn said he wouldnt do a job for Bret. Bret soured immediately and refused Vince's booking for that night, insisting he would never steal the belt like Madusa/Alundra Blaze did
From Vince's standpoint, he had months planned ahead for after Shawn wins the Belt, all based on Shawn needing to win it or else months of main event storylines would have to be rewritten reconceived, etc.
Bret put him in a tough spot, even though, technically Bret had a high level of creative control of his character, that was in his contract.
Bret was in a rough spot because it would have been MUCH cooler if Bret The Hitman Hart, Debuts on Monday Nitro, as the Retaining WWF Heavyweight Champion, just with no Belt...which would put him right in the WCW World Championship Title Contention for some fusing of Bret's Invisible WWF Title and Hogan or Stings WCW Title....(idk who was WCW champ at the time Bret got there, as of writing this im just not sure but it has to be Hogan or Sting right? Lol)
Vince did what he did, it was the right move Business Wise, FOR the WWF, morally, he knew Bret for so long, he should have trusted him to not steal the belt and show up on WCW TV with it.
At the time he just felt he couldnt take the risk.
If it was Shawn...pfft forget about it, he couldnt be trusted lol.
      Bret's still the best

Everyone thought Chris Benoit was a nice guy until he killed his family. Dynamite Kid threatened his wife with a gun all the time. Stone Cold beat the shit out of his wife several times. I think its quite obvious that everyone involved is kinda a dickhead. We know it about Punk for a long time that hes - at the very least - very opinionated. The the constant taunting of the EVPs make it quite clear they had an issue with him before Punk had one with them (it also stated chronologically before).
But huge egos in wrestling? Oh no. Thats so rare!

Hell ya. Because in WWE they are all adults and act like adults. They know who runs the ship and it isn't anyone in the locker room. Sure HHH had some issues with Punk with Punk not really being communicative with what he wants or is mad about. So fucking what. You think that will stop HHH from bringing Punk back? Hell no lol. Those guys know how business works, and importantly how the wrestling business works. HHH I'm sure has already been on the phone with Punk since his firing. No doubt in my mind

Him saying he " feared for his life" was something he said whole nervous in front of crowd who where booing what he said before about him "feating fir whis well being" is probably true. Listen, if CM Punk got riled up because of the Jack Perry thing then the only immature little boy is him. He literally threw a Temper Tantrum. That's a 5 year old shit or a mentally unhealthy thing. Jack Perry did the same shit CM Punk did previously but to a lesser extent - he didn't used names. So CM Punk can dish it out but he can't take it? Right. Real grown up stuff there bud.
CM Punk needs to grow up and take a hold of his emotions. The guy blew a once in a lifetime opportunity because he couldn't control himself and walk away - from the situation I mean. Clearly he walked away from AEW. So there's that.
But the Young Bucks running laps is what does it for you, huh? Yikes!
As for CM Punk going to the WWE, that's highly unlikely but who knows? One thing is for sure. If CM PUNK does go to the WWE then he would have proven every body else right. Not only that but he would be giving up the moral high ground he think he has and proven himself an absolute liar and a loser at the end of the day. I doubt his Ego will let him do that.
    We'll see.
