I love the way Sol changed when he got back home. He saw the ways of his father's abuse towards his mother and also what he had Ips little brother involved in. He had a heart. It wasn't until he had to stand up, be responsible and apologized for his transgressions the ghost of the girl who got hit by the car disappeared from his sight. He stood up like a man and realized what he did and was doing was wrong. I liked the way he told his little sis to pull her skirt down. A typical big brother.

@@naomeraphasha1494 yeah very much true, but for her and many other victims its not the physical leaving thats hard but the emotional leaving and other environmental issues. The big issue at play here is the fact he is the breadwinner and the man keeping the roof over their head, and her having kids I'm sure she wants to leave but she doing what's she feels is necessary for her kids. And that's shelter. Second, you seen how the police are, they dont seem to take the abused seriously because sometimes the case is that the police themselves are corrupt. Anyway everyone point here is valid but the main thing is the simple fact psychology is involved with abused victims because they cant emotionally leave until they realize to late.

Okay so I feel like with every episode that passes... my emotions are all over the place. I’m so happy Zamo was consistent with her safety. She’s matured so much and I’m loving every bit of it. As toxic as it was living in his house, im really sad that Sol left but it was better for him mentally. I wish his mom wasn’t so stuck in her ways, she could’ve actually survived 😔 Out of everything that happened, it melted my heart when Abel put his pride aside and went over to Reggie and his boyfriend ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I feel like MTV did a great job with this series because this generation especially holds a lot of hurt inside and feel like they have no one to talk to because I felt that way for a long time especially having African parents.

Shuga in general has been so educative......talk about love, peer pressure, getting to the HIV part which is so sad ,violence which was seen in Sol's family.....shuga is all about what's happening and it has really taught me a lot can wait for sn3

Wow, what a season! A lot of growth from some of the characters. Good for Reggie's dad. Too bad Sol couldn't save his mom, but it's hard to save adults when they don't think they're in danger. Can wait for next season. Well done.

I just love zamo for her courage, Sol's mum won't be dead if she had that courage to face her husband. MTV Shuga is the best. With love from Ghana ✌

Started watching this yesterday. I noticed it on my You Tube and got hooked from episode 1. Love the freedom of the young people in South Africa. Love how the community bonded together going through the daily ups and downs of life. The younger school friends and the older university school friends had a close relationship. Love this show!!!
