So good to hear from MP in depth. Really liked him as a player, though it's strange to think that mulleted and mustachioed footballer had only then left home! 😁 Was gutted when his last period at the club was so ridiculous. I, like many at the time, really hoped he'd stay a lot longer. But it goes to show, as a player and a coach, he got to the level of Man Utd and contributed at a time they were a good team. It's refreshing to hear that there's no bitterness or rejection of Norwich as a club, despite leaving 3 times. That's in great contrast to the likes of Steve Bruce and Andy Townsend, who (especially the latter) seemed to go out of their way to wipe the club from their memory, after leaving for "bigger and better things". I wish him all the luck and success with what he's doing, because on top of his love for City, he's always been an honest and decent bloke 💛💚
Brucey has always been grateful to Norwich for being given his big chance. No bitterness or memory wiped from his mind. Also both of his children were born in Norwich. He has very fond memories of NCFC. 💛💚
So lucky to find myself in Norwich 87 to 90 and a county next door 90 to 94 then back to Jockoland, still support them when I can , got to Preston recently. Even if it happens not really sure I want them to go up.
Awesome great to see one of the legends back in Norfolk. He's looking good.
So glad to see him back in the area and talking city.
What a great midfield we had - Putney, Phelan, Townsend, Gordon - got us to 4th in 88/89.
