I think a worthy release in the 8-bit world that wasn't mentioned here is the new Prince of Persia port for the Commodore Plus/4. Even Jordan Mechner himself has seen it!

Hadn't heard about the unreleased euro-GBA game... though I suppose that means I won't be able to buy it and it's already sold out. Personally I am eagerly waiting for my pre-order of the Sparkster collection, and I wonder if they'll ever release some kind of super-collection of ALL the Valis games in one cart... or if they'll consider that throwing away good profits and keep just splitting them up in several collections.

Those _Valis_ games are either explicably or inexplicably overrated... depending entirely on the depth of your cynicism about human nature.
I like them but they were always a little on the mediocre side. They never quite got up to the level of a super Castlevania or a revenge of Shinobi. They were just really solid games but there was a bit of pizzazz they were missing. Plus to turbographic 16 CD version while kind of neat would have been ludicrously expensive to play back in the day... I always love the screenshots in the advertisements though
Bruh... Kid Chameleon is a masterpiece compared to Valis... a flawed masterpiece but nevertheless...
@@VEGANVANIA kid chameleon is just plain a masterpiece. It's an incredibly intricate and detailed game with a ludicrous amount of gameplay. It is hands down the most underrated game of the 16-bit era
But it was lacking bikini clad protagonists! That's the difference between being underrated and overrated in the 21st century! It should have been the D.O.A. of mascot platformers with "realistic physics"!
Have them all on PC Engine CD and a couple on Super Famicom. Fun and cheap to collect these days too.
