- Former President Donald Trump was in Wisconsin and Michigan Wednesday where he hyped up his part in overturning Roe v. Wade and defended his policy of letting states make their own abortion laws. On the Democratic side, President Biden is heading to Charlotte, North Carolina, to meet with the families of the law enforcement officers killed in a shootout this week. Trump’s premise that abortion is a state’s rights issue makes as much sense as those who wanted to keep slavery in place as a state’s rights issue.
What is legal in one state, should be legal in all states.

@@jeremyrogers8828 False. Multiple states have extremist abortion bans that DO NOT ALLOW PROTECTIONS for the health of the mother. They only allow protections for the "life" of the mother. Meaning women are hemorrhaging and going into septic shock and even being rendered infertile because they law prevents them from getting basic healthcare. Being a young mother who desperately wants to have children and then losing your uterus because the law prevented you from receiving healthcare is not "pro-life" and it is abhorrent. Yes this stuff is actually happening int he United States of America and it is a disgrace.
Roe v Wade was a disaster
It was a compromise most Americans could live with. What is happening now with Republicans banning IVF and enacting 19th century laws and maternity wards closing is the disaster.
