For the S5 intro you can tell they’re using puppets because of the obvious lack of squash and stretch animation but it’s not bad at all, just different
Maybe they had to lower the budget down for the animation. That's why it's like that. I'm hoping that it's different next season or maybe for the season 5 special!
@@gek0kid no they had to switch animation studios because Flying Bark was preoccupied with other large projects so it’s being animated by Wildbrain now for the foreseeable future
As a Ninjago fan, I watched all seasons and this show has the potential to be better than Ninjago. If it keeps using different plots each season and keeps executing them well it'll eventually pass Ninjago. So much potential, I really enjoy this show.
I don’t know know how this would work but I would like to see a crossover with monike kid and ninja go they both have cool concepts of Martian arts meets superpowers and they have pretty good villains
@braedonbourque8327 I can't see it as idea because they're too far like concepts art styles. Imo only Garmadon, Morro, Lord Ras, Chen, Nadakhan, Pythor and Harumi are perfect Ninjago villians. On the other side Lady Bone Demon, Asure Lion and The Nine Headed Demon are perfect. I think Monkie Kid in some aspects will reach Ninjago if it gets two more perfect seasons. But for crossover I'm sceptic.
Wildbrain's animation is not bad. I mean, Ig they can improve? But anyways, good job! I've noticed that The new animation lacks something.. I'm not sure what. but it might be the flexibility and a biiit of smoothness
I think it might be perspective, in all the other animations the camera kinda moves around MK while this one kinda just follows hom from one side @@Pidgeon_Queen
I saw clips of the first two episode, the animation is still insane, but at time, a bit stiffer compared to Flying Bark but it isn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The intro is a tad too busy and fast for me compared to the last 4 though

How wildbrain design the characters is ok. They almost look like the previous ones but they could use a little bit of a more work on the background and the fight scenes or else all is well. 😊🎉 Side note:l thought this was gonna be disappointing😂

Like, is not bad. But compared to the previous ones it feels like a big downgrade. Still I like the visuals and the overall concept for the season. But you can feel something is off.
I don't know if it's just me but the I noticed from the season 1,2,3,4 and 5 in the season 1 mei is the one giving mk the boost since swk wasn't there yet and then 2,3 it's wukong giving mk the boost then in 4 it's just him with mei helping him and then 5 as we can see no one was boosting mk if you notice this I don't know if I'm going too deep about it but the boost is when he needs someone's help but in season 5 he does it by himself it just proves that mk has improved and matured and that he can handle himself but sometimes he needs help I just noticed it but I think I just took it personally 😅
I love the evolution of the art behind each character it starts with just the characters doing shit with mei she has the dragon Season 3 is when we see the legend look of the ancestors these people who went on this amazing journey Than season 4 comes around and we see the ancestors at there lowest and earliest point tang Sanzang is just starting his journey trying to figure shit out and pigsy and sandy are still monster Than season 4 special we see the ancestors again but the feel more human as we have seen there worst Than season 5 with the exception of mei which has stayed basically the same expect for season, 1,2 and 4 special it’s back to the correct incarnation but has knowledge of their past use it I think it’s great and can’t wait to see what they do with it in season 6

the animation of the show itself is bad due to the studio change but hopefully the studio will get better with time

Didn't WildBrain animate MLP: FiM? And didn't Ninjago seasons 11-15 have 2D flashbacks?
Wildbrain has plenty of experience in 2D animation, just not the bouncy frame by frame animation that this show usually does
