    I really enjoyed the lesson, and I found the review of all the new expressions to be essential. I love the shadowing technique, as it allows me to practice vocabulary and pronunciation in one go. Cheers! Thank you for the great lesson.

    Dear Anna, as I said before, you are brilliant tutor with the typical English accent that mekes me remind of being in the uk! Thanks for that. To be honest, I am one of the biggest fan brushing up my skills with your great words and phrases. Appreciated all. Looking forward to have the next lesson. Hasan from Turkey

    This is helpful for new generations but they're so lazy. When I was young my shadow was repeating rock songs using a walkman. That's how I learned to pronunciate a lot of words and started learning vocabulary. Then it was easy for me to learn English at school.

    • @EnglishLikeANative
      @EnglishLikeANative  Рік тому +2

      That’s a great way to learn, and must have been really fun for you too.

    • @fabrice9252
      @fabrice9252 Рік тому +1

      I would say that this is indeed an excellent way! I myself improved tremendously my English pronunciation years ago, and while still at school, by learning by heart and singing along the live and absolutely magnificent album 'The Concert In Central Park' by Simon & Garfunkel and songs by The Beatles too. Something happened in my brain at that moment. I got the hang of it. It was somehow like a revelation and a fabulous click regarding 'stress', rhythm of the language etc. ...

    hI! I have a question. Why isn't 'to' between like and bonk in this sentence? "he would like bonk them on the head"

    • @EnglishLikeANative
      @EnglishLikeANative  Рік тому +1

      Like in this sentence is a filler/thinking word. Just ignore the word like and it will all seem clearer.

      @@EnglishLikeANative I am fan of you, you are so charming that I can digest the King Charles 3rd accent of the high society.
      I like rude weird accents, strange accents, rare accents, not the classical ones.
      So anything that deviates from classic brit and classic american.
      I hate any foreigners accents, and that's why I always try to copy the accent/tone/sounds/musicality of native people.
      So if I am among scottish, I will copy scottish.
      Anyway, you are so beautiful and charming.
