It’s evident Nole didn’t play his best tennis, but it is also evident that Tabilo played at a super high level and I applaud that. Deserved victory.
Novak hadn't recovered from the accident
@@minaot6640 just stop pls
@@_raffaele_Tabilo would’ve beaten anyone that day with a forehand like that.
@@minaot6640cope
@@dannytran1587 yeah.
Tabilo decided to honour his Chilean counterpart Fernando Gonzalez via his monstrous forehands.
Man, that forehand was crazy. If that was the reason for his inspiration, hats off to him. Very impressive.
@@j.erickson8571 Really a cool guy he did a wonderful game.
Pero estaba Raro Nole ,muy pero muy extraño
Not surprised when Tabilo came to Auckland and won it, noone saw him coming and blew a lot of good opponents away. Superb attitude on the court and humble. Radiates great energy, which is good these days. He will go far..
maybe he's got a bit of humility from his early years in Canada. we're so happy for him - such a decent human (and his forehand's not bad). :) 🍁🍁🍁
Good Job Tabilo, hopefully you keep winning and playing at this level. Chile is really proud of you 🇨🇱👏👏👏
I think Novak had some anxiety on court. I could tell. He was dizzy/anxious or something. When you have that you will serve quicker, he did that today as well.
I red that Nole invited tabilo how sparring three weeks ago.... And he said that prefere wait for play in a Match.... Could be true.....
Grande Tabilo!! 👏👏 sigue así que más triunfos vendrán 🇨🇱
Canada is also proud of you Alejandro
you said it! go alejandro!
Aguanta djokovic, aun queremos disfrutar de tus partidos un añito más al menos
What Novak describes as his feelings on the court is basically how I feel every time I play tennis.
😂😂😂😂😂
Hahahaha without any bottles on the head
😂😂😂
I suspect you should be in the top 10, at least.
BOSS!!! After a bad day at the office and he comes on to these press conferences and gives the kind of answers like he does here, I never worry. Look at that confidence, that belief in himself (to be able to talk so intricately about what he couldn’t do). As long as he knows what he does I do not worry. Truthfully, as a Nolefam I’m so grateful to him already. He proved himself years back. Just come out and play for us to see Champ. That’s enough, that alone is a privilege. GOAT!!!!
To be honest, at age 36+, it is not easy to stay in the highest level of tennis, up and down are expected. Anyway, we all know the big 3 era will end sooner or later, but as a Nole fans, I would still enjoy seeing him play at high level and winning matches! All the best Champ, good luck for RG, Olympics and Wimbledon🙏😊

AS a novak fan from India , Plz get one slam and increase the count to 25 and target for 110 titles

2:22 some annoyance and impatience with a pretty benign question that is not typical of the calm and easygoing way that Novak usually responds in interviews. Maybe he is indeed feeling "different" as well as concerned. I hope that he feels better soon and I wish him well for the French.

Djokovic has vultured at least 10 slams already due to Nadal’s countless of injuries throughout his career. Stop being greedy, he already overachieved.

All the best Novak for the upcoming tournaments. French Open is waiting for you Champ.
Novak ain't my favourite player, but I do feel bad for Novak for getting all the hate, he is really an emotional guy even more than Nadal and Federer, that's why he have frequent outbursts in the court and that makes him more human.

Tell Novak he has a concussion.
Wena choro!
Pulento triunfo Tabilove
I hope he gets back soon. This sort of concussion happens in cricket when the ball hits the batters head at high speeds.
Congrats Jano, well done
You did an incredible job! Best of luck!
He describes the symptoms of a mild concussion. He should have received a thorough medical exam immediately to confirm that or rule it out. Also, such an abrupt freak accident can affect one’s mindset for a while. No surprise that he lost.
full on excuses from nole
@@lalolanda8458 I suppose you think Natasha Richardson was making excuses when she complained of a headache after her head injury?? You people are sick.
@@catrovert7 Even nole aknowledges the bottle incident might be nothing to worry about. It's because it's difficult for him to accept a defeat like this one. Like he always does. When he lost to Nardi a top 100 he said he didn't feel himself at all. There was no bottle there.
There was no concussion. If he would have really felt dizzy, he would have gone to hospital. He went to hotel and even joked about it on the next day wearing that helmet and tweeting about it
@@lalolanda8458 He said it's a bit concerning, Even blind Freddie could see that he was a totally different player to the guy who beat Moutet. He was rushing through his serves, not bouncing the ball as much, not looking at his team, his hands were shaking at the changeover, and he was disorientated and totally out of whack. Don't let hate cloud your judgment.
You can obviously see with all the symptoms he has a bad concussion (I'm a medical doctor btw). It's not good, also look at the difference in the first and second round match. Headaces, nausea, no balance coördination bad sleep it's all in there! I think he also needs a good coach fast
If he had symptoms of a bad concussion, he definitely wouldn't play.

He does. He was born in Canada.
@@narcyznarcyz-uv4td ¿Spanish accent?, no way, he speaks fluent english (north american accent) and spanish (chilean accent).
GOAT Excuses. Give credit to Tabilo for throwing him off his game not the bottle.
That's Novak being Novak, no surprises.
He started by giving him credit. No matter how many times Tabilo beats Novak he can’t be a better player until he wins more titles. These legends( Djokovic, Nadal and Federer) are so good, as shown by their records that when they lose to players like Tabilo its perfectly reasonable and logical to give an excuse for their losses. Nadal lost in Rome simply because of injuries and age. Otherwise Hurcaz would never beat him on clay. With the number of titles Nadal has won on clay it makes sense to make this assumption.
Over the years these legends have consistently beaten players stronger than Tabilo. So this loss today is no big deal. It’s just a loss on a bad day. It takes nothing away from the greatness of Novak. Even if the bottle is not an excuse for this loss, something else has to be because under normal circumstances Tabilo doesn’t have the strength, skill and consistency to beat a fully fit Novak. Kudos to Tabilo though. Wish him a great career ahead.
@@kendaddi5857 "something else has to be": Yep, he's turning 37 years old in 10 days, there is your "something else." Father Time catches up to all of us, even more so to top athletes. And if you think a 37 year old Djokovic and a 38 year old Nadal are still able to play like they did some years ago, you're just delusional.
@@ricardogondimhe ain't no Nadal to blame his injuries and age
@@Nostalgic14-zo3pkBecause Novak didn't have as many injuries as Nadal, his body is better, Nadal had a lot of injuries in his career...and it's starting to show now, especially as he's gotten older. They are losing now because of age and injuries, the skill is there but they don't have the same speed, physical condition anymore.
If they were 10 years younger, they would beat those of the new generation.

Love you Nole!
Get well soon Novak ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️☹️🇬🇧
Wishing Nole and Rafa best of recovery.
It's mental problems with Novak this season not "metal" problems.
He had some marriage problems he had a year or two I think it was 2018 where he was a mess He's a very emotional player and if he can't control his emotions the wheels fall off the wagon.
His dad had a serious fall 2 weeks ago and he's not winning That's going to get inside his head because he has no coach anymore.

It's not a problem that Novak lost, it's a problem how he lost
It is clear now why Djokovic was not interested to play this match. He wanted to check his head, was not interested in competing at this tournament. Completely logical, when you have bleeding from hit to the head 2 days ago. It is not normal to be interested in tennis tournament anymore. Rest and check is what he should do before RG.
We're the best country of Chile, Bro!!!
Tabilo beat him , that’s it.. outclass him on everything.. looking for excuses is pretty shameful ..
What if he ends up like Luca Nardi?
Bien ganado Alejandro,a seguir subiendo en el ranki ng.
People in the comments literally need proper medical education! He had a concussion! Loss of balance, concentrations, nausea and headaches are the symptoms of a concussion. The symptoms can last anywhere between 2-4 weeks!
It's Novak, the fedal fans will hate him no matter what happens. Even if he breaks his leg they'll say he is faking it. It is what is. Everyone I know who works in medical care told me that those are symptoms of a concussion. Hell, I even experienced one before and could tell immediately Novak had one.
Nah he has been playing this way since AO. Guy is done.
@@NLLeFa He made the semis in his worst masters tournament since 2015. He looked sharp against Moutet, but yeah sure he is finished suddenly. What a load of crap.

I miss you my friend.
Though Djoker tried to brush aside his loss to Sinner in the Australian Open Semi-Finals as "This is not the Beginning of the End as what some people are saying", it INDEED feels like that looking at his performance & losses since, alongside Rafael Nadal's confirmed ageing & injury retirement coming! So, finally the BIG-3 era seems well & truly over!

Jet we have the one era. Đoković!!!
He just needs to think of retirement. His time is up and the new guts are coming up with much stronger game. No excuses!
Damn those comments one less informed and reality based than the next one. (with exceptions)
First of all, when Roger retired the big 3 era ended.
Second of all, it is really foolish to write a sportsman of the caliber of Novak, Rafa, Roger as well as many others off at any point. They are animals with decades of experience or clearer self-knowledge.
Thirdly, yes it is indeed unlikely that the bottle incident has been the major reason for the rather poor performance by his standards, however, we can't know for sure.
But if we look at it from a bit more distance, it seems that Novak has some mental issues since it is clear that he is the most successful player of all time and nobody is probably born yet, who could even dream of breaking his grand slam record. But it wouldn't be the first time he reinvents himself!
The GOAT discussion is, was and will always be rubbish.
Why?
Because Greatness doesn't has just to do with numbers.
Yeah Novak is a great guy and deserves respect as all the others!
And so on and so forth...
Thank you, it's rare to find a tennis fan (I don't know if I can call fanboying a tennis fan) that respect the 3 players , like them and is not into the goat debate.
It's clear that Djokovic is not as usual, maybe some mariage issues or family issues...
When Rafa looses, they clap their hands! When Novak loose this way they are booing!!! Any quedtions???
*Rafa "loses"
*Novak "loses"
"loose" is the opposite of "tight"

So practice was fine but the water bottle injury only factors when he looses the match ? Why not withdraw if the injury was that severe
Stupid comment. The symptoms develop with swelling which takes time, so it's natural that he did not feel anything the day after the incident, but did feel two days after. And he might not feel it so much before the match, but physical effort aggravates symptoms.
it sounds like it is, an excuse
you call it an excuse, one may as well call it what it is: the reason for him not being himself on court

@@catrovert7 what is your excuse when he lost to nardi then, when he wasn't even in the top 100? How can you be so deluded to believe that an empty bottle will concuss a professional athlete. It wouldn't concuss the majority of healthy people either. Nole is getting beat up left and right this year. Nole is not accepting it, and neither do you.
NOVAK 👑
Novak has been a “different player” since the Australian Open… He seems completely lost!
Novak was clearly sluggish and uncoordinated right from the start, probably an after-effect of the head bump. That would slow anyone down. Those saying it's a sign that "he's washed up" are just idiots. Tabilo's joy is misplaced. Would he be just as ecstatic if Novak had played with a broken leg?

His biggest mistake before he got his head hit by the bottle, he played so bad in Indian Wells and skipped a couple of ATP Masters. As a result, he no longer has any point to cover the points of Roland Garros champion last year. Not only that, Djokovic's loss make people less interested of posting Djokovic's every week at no. 1 on facebook. Moreover i've already calculated that he has 428 weeks at no. 1.
