Skillz you should look at bringing Trent off your bench at RB and take the coins on Kyle Walker before he crashes. Walker is quicker of course but Trent is clear beyond midfield and with R1 dribbling and finding open players in space. He also should give you 3 chem with the stronger link to Alisson!

Try and not sprint all the time and just take your time. Also when using left stick dribbling don’t push the stick all the way to the edge, the player keeps the ball closer to his feet if you keep the stick tight
You mention about that you've 'heard' Donovan is not very good. But he might suit your style? You never know unless you try. Pro's or not, you have your own style and no player plays the same. I like a big striker to play off to my wide players because I'm not great at dribbling so I'm not going have all smaller players to dribble...
