Hope you guys enjoyed the build,if I left out anything important be sure to drop it down below and I can update the comments section too. The live mixer has also come down a heap in price, so really solid board for an am5 build!
I considered the Live Mixer when I upgraded from AM4 to AM5 over a year ago as it had everything I wanted in a motherboard, but it's just hideous to look at. I unfortunately went with an Asus Tuf B650-Plus Wifi. I've had no problems, but would have preferred not to send my business to Asus.
I have had my eyes on this board for quite a while. When it is on shelves it just goes, ASRock boards especially for ryzen builds have been my go to for new builds. Even for used boards, I just buy them up they just work.
I think an update for Windows11 just dropped that goes some way to addressing the AMD performance issues. You could also try ReviOS. The case is nice but I'm a bit uncertain about the airflow design. I'd prefer intake fans on the front with top and rear exhaust.
@@SonderZensei But this is a gaming system, so airflow is meaningless. ALL that matters is that is has tons of childish ARGB parts, since ARGB doubles your frame rates. And it has to be sealed in a glass case that is 1000x more likely to break than a steel paneled case. Which is why I will probably never replace my 12+ yr old Thermaltake steel cases.
Since you were talking about windows you should have mentioned the tweaked windows 10 image you created and made a torrent for last year. I keep it seeded 24/7 since I already have to run my torrent client 24/7.
Antec is a win for all consumers with these wonderful new cases. Really great step by step guide Bryan for those to want to build they're first pc... Is there a plastic peel on the other side of the glass cover 😁
Great build and video. Can you do (or have) a video on the MoBo settings you were using and doing at the end of the video? You mentioned how much snappier your PC was. Would be an interesting video.
Yesss you chose this case! Man I saw another video and the C8 took all the praise while the C7 was bagged on for being generic.. NO WAY! getting generic just right at the right price is an art in itself.
That's a beautiful motherboard. For your GPU problem, my case didnt have a vertical gpu mount so i bought these aluminum machined mounts that allows you to put a gpu in a 120mm fan spot
Nice. Might wanna check Thermalrigt coolers lineup as almost for the same price you could get a better cooler since I've noticed snowman coolers gone up in price.
Insert the memory into the slots furthest from the CPU because you do not want unterminated traces after the memory stick and with T-topology, that is exactly what you would have.
I always install my video cards with the case laying down. That ensures that the card is straight and then put in the sag bracket. Don't need to eyeball it.
Wow I built a system with this CPU a month ago. I got the CPU from eBay used for US $439.99 and it came from China man, they still have them on eBay I think they are $10 more, but it took almost a month to show up! I paired this CPU with an MSI PRO X670-P WiFi ProSeries Motherboard, RTX 4080 and 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 ram 6400MHz, this is a top of the line CPU and a very nice CPU for gaming, I highly recommend this one to anyone who has the means to afford one. :)
What do you think about windows 11 24h2 seemingly giving ryzen CPUs a big perfomance boost in games and if true will you be recommending windows 11 to ryzen users from now on?
have you thought to try the new 9xxx parts on the absolute cheapest a620 board you can find? i wonder how the power capped chips fare up with bottom of the barrel stuff 😅
can you test out the thermalright TR-TPFX 850 power supply with some relatively power hungry components? its one of the cheaper 90+ gold SFX PSU on aliexpress, but is from a rising star brand (thermalright) and claims to be atx 3.0 compatible. thanks in advance!
@@MsDanish1212 I would set the support bracket height with the case laid on it's back so there is no weight on the card. Then there's zero risk of it putting pressure on the card the opposite direction.

I had to switch to water cooling because of clearance. The GPU would fit but the power connector on my 4070 TI Super is in the middle of the card right under the box cooler.
1TB SSD is pretty small. I'd put in 2TB or 4TB (300 bucks instead of 100). I also recommend a 16TB HD for data storage and work so you don't have to waste your SSD life and space. 16TB Toshiba are pretty good for ca. 300 bucks.

I ran 5600 but it was running cl40 and to be honest the difference was not noticeable but I was losing some frames and I hated being reminded that I way over built for what I use the PC for. tl;dr it works now and the only thing I did different was switch from Windows 10 to Windows 11. If you build this system, have fun torture testing it. Doesn't matter if you want to play the latest title or try out all those 4K mods in Fallout 4. It's going to power through it.
Regarding the pcie 5.0 drive, will they make a big differnce compared to 4.0 or 3.0? DirextStorage can definitely use that speed for newer games but most game asset are compressed to save space and the cpu need to decompress them before use by the gpu, so if gpu need decompression block inorder for really use the high 5.0 speed.
