Susan Rogers doesn't give her impression/thoughts on the way music can/will develop,she just put up the framework,how music can be developed further. I think,it's not only the technical aspects of how to create new sounds,it's more about the people who can handle these new technics. The biggest new artists now,are DJ''s,producers,rappers,not the musicians anymore,but more "tech" people.For sure,technical people were always important to the proces of recording and performing music of artists, but most music performing nowadays is becoming more and more an industrial envirement.
yeah, i'm always was more like a metalhead but now i've got my midi and started working on beats and stuff just because I like mastering and discovering new sounds with synths, I think now every musician should now how to use a pc and be more like a dj.
Don't get me wrong I respect Miss Susan Rogers for her work with Prince! But I don't understand why so many people look up to her for her sense of music, when she doesn't know how to put a song together. She is not a producer nor composer! I think the only reason why people pay attention to her advice so much is because of her dealings with Prince for many years.
