I used to have a God like respect for Appeals and Constitutional court judges. But the incarceration of Jacob Zuma without a trial made me realise there's nothing special about them. They are just individuals like you and me, but with robes and opinions backed by state power. I mean Zuma has already served his 15 months in prison, but they want to add more months to his already served sentence. After sending Zuma to prison again although he has completed his 15 months under correctional services, do they expect him to apply for parole again? The judgement does not make sense, it breaches so many laws of natural justice but our legal scholars will ignore the mess just because they hate everything about Jacob Zuma.

Unbelievable how many on this thread are dumb enough to buy the jailed without trial story. And why does Manyi think he knows the law better than the SCA. Zuma committed a crime. He chose not to appear at his trial. He escaped prison on medical parole when he was not sick but calling favours off his old friend Arthur Fraser. He lived 13 months in his palace on medical parole most South Africans couldn't even dream of, even visiting a casino. And now the courts have said the commissioner could even take that as time served, butt is not up to the court to decide. The purpose of justice is twofold. Punishment for the purpose of deterrent, and rehabilitation. Zuma has not been punished. He's lived a life of luxury most SAns couldn't imagine. This is not Cyril. Not a bought judiciary. This is justice.
