Dude the problem is that the more you are into game the more you can spot players, I have spotted some diamonds in the rough, and I have also found out there is unbelievably good naturals all over, I know guys who are ugly as fuck by social standards and they be having three somes and whatnot. It's like that movie Hitch, at the end they realize his tips were all garbage. It just comes down to the person having a conversation.
You aren't far off. Late in The Game, he spends considerable time talking about how there are a couple different types of these guys. There are the guys who need all this and can't deviate whatsoever or they are lost. While this works to get them laid, they aren't great for anything long term. Then there were the people who used this stuff as ice-breakers and attracting interest, but had an actual personality behind them so that once the female was willing to give them a shot, they were able to have actual conversations. His main point (from what I remember, it's been 12 years or so since I've read it) was that this stuff is all well and good, but unless you are an interesting person behind all of this, then it's pointless.

The stuff Style uses might work but it's based on NLP and I'm not a fan of it. Using it for seduction is manipulative.
