This is great, I love this time period. Just knowing that there's a band out there still singing these songs, dressing the part and with all the charm, its very comforting. Thank you very much for just existing and more.
Oh man, these girls really got the Andrews sisters. The band behind them sounded great and was having a good time. This was a terrific effort. I wonder what LaVerne, Pattie and Maxine would've thought of this group?
Back in the early '60's, when most young people were seen and not heard, my dad (a former Jazz musician from the 30's/'early '40's) had a party for all his...well, musician buddies. Two of the Andrews Sisters were there. I never met any of them but loud music bending the bay window with smoke covering the walls and ceiling and booze everywhere. That was a Jazz party as I knew them. Anyway, dad would later remark that Bette Midler had a better voice than the girls. It was wierd as his loyalty was to sounds, not people. I'm so glad I never came to need his approval for my own stuff But Jazz musicians generally hated rock music...three chords and pop your thumb against the gum of your mouth Anyway, I think he would've enjoyed your voices and the entire groups enthusiam! The trumpet player and bass player especially made me smile!!!
@@GenLeeConcepts what a great anecdote and story! Thanks for sharing, and for the compliment. We always have a great time singing this incredible music!
Excellent singing and orchestration. The girls appear in different order, left to right, throughout the video. Maybe they intended to throw you off. Threw me off but I still enjoyed it.
Yes they did, we have heard that they recorded over 1800 in their career!! Amazing. But Boogie is always a crowd favorite in our shows. Check out our covers of several other songs on our channel, and subscribe for even more coming soon!
@@TheSwingDollsOfficial THey also had disasterous private lives. It's instructive to compare them with the back stories of the Mirna and Clare of the Barry sisters.
I remember singing along with these songs as a very young girl (I'm 69 now). I think that's one reason I'm still patriotic today.

@@TheSwingDollsOfficial You're welcome, and thank you for keeping this music alive and doing it so well.
The Andrews Sisters actually sang other songs besides this one.
