- 🐔 Reportedly helps egg-bound hens - i.e. 'walking like a penguin', a bonus that she co-operated, nice warm water. After a chat with my daughter (who used to look after 24 thousand hens!) we took a trip to the vet... Peritonitis 🤔

She was very placid almost too much ...The little face of another watching through the fence was rather funny .They never miss anything.. You are a real nurse Jane and Chickpea is in good hands ,,,, The best ..👍🐔🐔🐔🐔🌹Get well :)

@@WildwoodTV You've had a lot to see to and after my short experience with a special pigeon I understand and multiply by 1000. She may be old but looks amazing .Age alone is not really the factor is it .It's how over worked they are as young chickens .They live a wonderful life with you and am hoping the vet doesn't write her off as a has been former battery hen ......She enjoyed it :) Well done Jane .

Yes Chickpea is the mother hen, Holly & Ivy tuck under her to go to sleep! Tbird squawks at every opportunity! but strangely likes to be near Chickpea lately - all the hens do - perhaps they know something ... 😥
awesome job. I am a little concerned that Chickpea is so submissive in the water. I would think a trip to the vet would be in order as soon as possible. You are wonderful with your flock!!
