I would have imagined a storyline in the future where Komatsu will make new friends but also come visit her school friends, and we could see what they become and what they'll do, I am really frustrated for Taichi x Sawa cuz Taichi seems to have a crush but Sawa idk AAAAA

I see it as relevant. KyoAni are pretty big in the anime world so I don't see how others wouldn't be somewhat influenced. Also pointing out that it is not that unique for animators to use real-life places in anime...

This is way too late to reply, but it's actually a good thing it was 13 episodes. Look at Hanasaku Iroha by the same studio; they just didn't have 26 episodes worth of content and it resorts endlessly to filler and stumbling multi-part arcs. With 13 episodes, they really have/get to focus what they're doing, and end up with a better, if smaller, product. Quality over quantity and that. The real shame is there probably won't be a second season.
