I was drinking some water while watching this video and once I heard you say $35 water was everywhere, that is insane and as a collector I think 3D printing is somting I need to get into
Due to you I’m getting a 3D printer! All I can say is thanks for showing us what we can truly do to have fun! Also how do you get all the pieces to look like one?
Technically, the Buster Sword belonged to Angeal, which he eventually gave to Zack, which was ultimately passed down to Cloud. That aside, you did a great job printing the Buster Sword. Props.
What would make this just that tiny bit more epic- and it's already 100% rad!- is, oh and he's just mentioned it in the video as I type this, and that is regarding putting Materia into the slots. So I'm looking forward to seeing it when that part's complete too! 02:54 is where he mentions adding Materia in the future. Very pleased to know that I am!
During 2020 I made one too ... out of cardboard lol. Think it was about 150cm long. I ordered a new bed and had all this cardboard left over ... and we all got bored in this year lol.
I've concepted a much more 'realistic' version of this sword as a 30/70 hybrid of the realism/fantasy, and brought the sword length down to a more average 3.8feet (approximate Longsword length), as well as thinning the wideness of the blade, but not making it look like a generic sword still. The sword design is most similar to a Gladius or Viking era sword, as it has no crossguard, however it's a single bladed weapon so the mass of the unsharpened edge is there to help it cut, hence the tapered tip, similar to curved blades which have superior slicing power compared to straight pointed swords more designed for stabbing.
Probably too late to ask this, could you let us know where to get the rod and how to slice it with those settings in place? Not a lot of good info on that. I personally made a Master Sword, smaller than this, and had problems with the hilt not getting the support it needed.
lmao imagine you roll up to a convention with this bad boy and all of a sudden some guy just walks up with a printed Masamune that would both be terrifying and cool as hell
Here from tiktok. Not gonna lie makes me feel like I should give it all a try. Any recommendations for smaller projects to build up the necessary skills to complete it? You mention welding and melting a lot to connect but the sword looks like one whole piece. That has to take practice
I'm printing this right now actually at 100%. I just cant decide if the lower parts of the black need supports. Little worried ill get deep into the print and i wont know till its too late.
Oh god im 6 days in and still havent finished even the black half haha. I think i set the quality a little too high and infil too high. but oh well..ive committed now.
Like in the comments you may have read, this is originally Angeal's weapon before he gave it to Zack and then to Cloud although he had another different variation in Advent Children.
Definitely plan ok monkeying around with this. But for the assembly, this doesn't have pegs that would click them in place together. Would you be able to go over a little more how to do it? What to use? I know you mentioned briefly on it but I'm very new to it all and I'm not entirely sure what everything is. I would appreciate the assistance very much
I'm Almost finish printing this blade. This is my first BIG print, any recommendation how to glue all together? should i melt EVERY BORDER, or just in some parts?
Hey man I'm making this for a cosplay how did you make the rod unscrew. What I mean by that is how did you get the rod to be secured with the threads? Did you add nuts to the materia slots or is it modeled with a screw area in the blade?
How did you use a 8mm rod when the STL specifies 8.3mm space for rod but printing at 90% would put you at that hole being around 7.5mm ? Wondering since I was hoping to print at 80% which would give me 6.6mm hole. Suppose I use a 6mm support rod, I'm not sure how to put the rod in so that it fills up the whole space...
Can you explain please how to really link them together? I see they have rivet holes but I'm new to 3d printing. I would really appreciate any help here especially how to link them together securely. Also the materia, is it included ik the stl file?
I printed this in 100% scale and 10% infill but i have too many issues with it. Its just too heavy for the handle to hold and the metal rod even bends. I need to reprint it but can i do 5% infill with 90% ratio?
Its a great time to be alive 3D printing is a game changer for memorbilia!
Imagine rolling up to school with this as a kid
That’s my back to school attire, I’m 12, 6”2, so I can actually handle the damn thing lol
Ima pull up to my school on a non uniform day dripped out as cloud with the sword
It’s been my dream to have one of these built someday. Incredible Buster Sword man and well done!
omg thats the coolest thing ever now i need a 3d printer lol. The metal look is sick
you should make some removable materia to cover the rod but still take them out if you wanted! Be sooooo awesomeee
Bryant Johnson that’s the plan!

Sand it lol I explain it in the video haha
Oh sorry lol
dude this is so sick you did such a great job! I hope I can get as skilled as you at 3dp lol
Found it! So excited!
Edited
Just watched the video and I am now looking at 3D printers. Thanks this really is something I am so excited about.
That’s epic

I would buy it if i could. Its dope
materia will make it look awesome i think you should put led's in it make them with resin and put some swirls in them

Honestly man just find things on Thingiverse.com you want to make. Start small. Work up!
I'm SO glad I found your channel!! This is FREAKING AWESOME. Do ppl pay you to 3D print stuff for them?
Sometimes I sell stuff I make on the side but I’m not doing commission requests....yet
@@FranklyBuilt okay you got a future customer right here for sure when you do!!!
@@FranklyBuilt same here as a customer. Especially for the buster sword.
Hay Frank i'm assuming you used less infill towards the tip of the blade.also love your content

How long of a rod do you need to put into the handle? And what size. I just finished all the parts!
0:41 the best version if I might add
Do you have any videos showing how to add rods into long swords like this?
I got a question how much fillament did u take because i want fo print it to but i only had 500g and wasn't able to go half way through on one piece
would love to see glowing materia
I was about to say that that he should put some materia in it
This would look amazing in my man cave. I have a wall dedicated to ff7. And a tattoo (of the buster sword). Payment ready. Just saying.

You should browse some more of my 3D printing tutorials. I cover it all.
whats the infill% and is the alignment paths already threaded? my question was answered at the end ahaha
You should make an energy sword or a gravity hammer.

Eee boyXD
Awesome;)
How exactly did you weld it together? What did you use?
Which 3D printer should I get in 14 btw and I will be buying your suggestion on Black Friday or cyber Monday $100 is good for me
How long did it take, and how much filament did it use?

Question the link to the shop is it the file to 3d print or the item

did you print all of the pieces at the same infill %, or did you make it gradually less (like in the rengoku katana)?
is there a place I can buy the sword made from that file? it's the coolest one I seen
I printed this in 100% scale and 10% infill but i have too many issues with it. Its just too heavy for the handle to hold and the metal rod even bends. I need to reprint it but can i do 5% infill with 90% ratio?
Can u do the sword from silent hill? And would u sell it if so how much? And where could I buy it
So I have the same Sunlu PLA+, but I am having problems with it sticking to the bed of the printer. What temp settings did you use?
My smallest gundam 78x2 is holding 1 I printed
hi, did you print all parts at once? im trying to print a sword, but threre are many details, i dont know if i should print each part or all togather?
Hey, your videos got me into 3d printing. I have a question on print orientation for this. On the guard, did u print that upright or on its side?
Upside down
Tree supports or standard?
Any reccomendations for the materia?
Still working on it. Probably resin
This video has 0 dislikes which is a good thing
Hey, could this be done on an Anycubic i3 Mega S?
What infill % did you use?
What diameter rod are you using for the %90 scale?
😲😲
Genkai wo Koeru
yo which 3d printer should i get for making swords and stuff like u?
Creality cr-10s or ender-5 plus
My Man, how many Kg does it weight? Also, do you sell Buster swords? Would love to buy one for my Easter workout routines if they are heavy enough
And it's the Buster Sword from Crisis Core dammmmnnn
Hey i have a question you said you paid about 30-35 dollars for the swordt where did u get the filament?
Amazon. It’s sunlu PLA+
Could this be done with the ended 3 or ended 3 pro?
Yep
How long did it took you to print the whole sword?
A few days across a few printers
What filament was used?
BALLER AS FUCK!!!
Can you reprint a sword in nylon?
Maybe?
@@FranklyBuilt Can the creality ender 3 print nylon without changing anything?
can this fit on an ender 3?
Yes but you’ll have to print it in roughly 20+ parts
Frankly Built ouch 🤕. Oh well... I guess I’ll give it a try. Maybe print at 80%
Sorry man. The ender3 is amazing just. Not big lol
What primter did you used to do that sword?
Mostly Creality cr-10s
@@FranklyBuilt Thank you very much
What 3D printer do you use?
I used a Creality brand for this sword
This is my favorite vid of yours cause I love FF7. My Insta for the helmet contest is @YaLikeJazz5819
Bro I’m 6’8 so I think a 7ft sword would be perfect 😅😂😂 probably make it a couple inches wider though but I’m not sure 😅
1st ohhhhh yeah
Congrats
Can you please send me his UA-cam channel info to make this? I don’t know how I’m going hold it because 4, 9. (I’m not a dwarf)
Do Sephiroths sword, you won't
You’re right. I won’t
@@FranklyBuilt wow that was fast
I do what I can lol
Scaled at 90% do you believe this sword could be printed on a 230x230x250 Ender 3 Pro?
Not Zacks but angeals
POV: perfect outfit, perfect mask, perfect cool walk, as u hold that on ur shoulder and scare everyone away
Plot twist u don’t know how to use it
I thought it was one side of Thanos's sword
So, he’s an iron man fan...😂
Aidan Schutte whose iron man? Batman all day man
Frankly Built I wholeheartedly agree!!🤘
Aidan Schutte they’re the same charecter at the core lol if you really think about it
Frankly Built True, true!
