Does it include an external battery or do I have to buy it separately?

It does not. You will need a WB37 Battery.

      Hi… Any updates?
I have a Mavic-3 and the RC-Pro but am having some physical difficulties.
I have AS (Ankylosing Spondylitis) and it’s becoming much more difficult to fly with my current setup.
But.. I used a friend’s RC Plus with his M30 and it was enjoyable to fly.
      Thanks !

@@PowderMill same here...A.S. just wondering how you handle long flights with your drone? Do you pace around? It kills me to sit around or just stand still looking at the controller. All I've been able to do is pace around 😂

      @@psi-ops1397 Hi.. 😊 (BORING A.S. STUFF FIRST)
Firstly, I’m so sorry to hear that another A.S. “Spiney” drone guy exists.
It’s such a BRUTAL disease. I also have psoriatic arthritis. My spine has fused with my upper body bent over so much that I can’t walk now without a walker or 4-prong base cane or I fall.
I am looking at the floor constantly and can’t look forward as my cervical/thoracic kyphosis/fusing and “bamboo” spine condition is progressing rapidly. Other than my family, no one has the slightest clue how painful and debilitating it is.
      Pain?
      What’s that? LOL
That’s the worst part. My pain mgt doc of 25+ years missed the A.S. and had me undergoing all sorts of disc surgeries and treatments and returning every month. I’d bet anything that you and I can likely identify and diagnose early - one of “our kind” 🧐! My big problem with him was that while he prescribed pain meds for decades, when the pain was 9 out of 10 and starting to get to be 90% of the day/night, the “Mystery Virus” 😠 came to visit and he stopped practicing.
Currently I’m traveling close to an hour each way to see one of the only prescribing doctors left in Northern NJ.
I have to lie down on a pile of blankets and fluffy sleeping bags. Painful and super high risk of shattering my spine in an accident in the treacherous NJ traffic. The government’s handling of “The Opiate Wars” has most doctors afraid to prescribe anything, pharmacies afraid to stock and dispense and increased the paperwork by 500%.. as fentanyl pours right in.
I’ve gone through 6 series (6mo. each) of biologic class drugs with no improvement, but they messed up my immune system making me very vulnerable to infection.
      How advanced are you?
Is anything working extraordinarily well for you?
      Where are you from?
Is the pain management doctor situation bad there as well?
      Continue to Drone part…

@@psi-ops1397 And… The GREAT PART…. The Drone Stuff!
Seriously, it was so ironic that you replied to my original comment today.
I JUST received my new “hacked” DJI RC-Plus Controller yesterday and flew a few hours already today.
I purchased it with the “modifications” already completed. It was not much more $ than an unmodified controller but, sadly, it took several weeks to arrive.
What type of drone gear do you have?
If you can stand the extra weight of the RC-Plus or want a controller that can easily mount to a tripod, it’s a phenomenal gadget! The work they completed was to permit it to run DJI’s “Fly” app and to communicate with the O3 version of Occusync that the Mavic-3 Series and Air-2s drones. (But once modified, you cannot run the control app used by the “Enterprise” series drones).
I have a Mavic-3 (original model) with an RC-Pro Controller, 2x Air-2s (1 with geofencing “removed”) with another RC-Pro Controller, an Avata with DJI Goggles 2 and controller, a Mini-3 Pro and RC Controller, an DJI FPV drone and Goggles v.2, Mavic-2 Pro with Smart Controller. Of all of those, I rarely grab anything other than the Mavic-3 or the Avata.
My Wife had originally bought me the Mavic-2, hoping it would get me up and about more and cheer me up
I had zero drone experience, but was an EE, amateur radio operator, etc.. and owned a security installation company, so some of that was helpful. Of course, with the current technology, any young child could probably pick up a controller and fly with zero experience and likely outfly me. LOL
I mounted the RC-Plus to a very heavy duty / sturdy tripod with thick rubber wheels.
I also bought an Alientech Duo-2 a while back but it was always way too heavy for me to hold the controller when the Duo-2 was mounted. With the controller secured on the tripod now, I’m able to use the Duo-2 again and even have a wireless HDMI transmitter, large/bright field monitor and a bracket to hold spare batteries and goggles mounted lower down on the tripod main tube. The monitor is great to show friends, family and bystanders the drone’s view.
When I fly with goggles on, I have to sit or I get very dizzy and nauseous.
It’s awful, because I really enjoy FPV flying.
I’m contemplating trying standing, but leaning against some thing firm.
Until I find a solution, I’m going to try connecting up an external display and just use that instead of goggles.
It’s a great hobby for A.S. folks… it gives you the ability to escape your decrepit body and fly high up in the sky!
