The Every-Day Carry Rucksack by Helikon-Tex is the name for the essentials that are with us every day. This backpack is versatile and well though-out exactly what an EDC backpack should be - designed with everyday carry requirements in mind. The backpack has spacious, two-chamber construction. The main chamber has slick interior, without any additional pockets or organizer's, only with hydration bladder hanger. Front chamber is lined with soft velour Velcro fabric, compatible with Helikons' Versatile Insert System®, which allows you to personalize your backpack as you need. Front and sides of the packs are covered with MOLLE/PALS compatible webbing so you can attach MOLLE/PALS Pouches for extra storage. Additionally, there is a large piece of loop-velcro for various patches on front of the pack.

Just found your channel. Enjoyed your review on this bag. I bought the Helikon Tex EDC backpack some time ago and only used it briefly before becoming a The Hidden Woodsmen junkie. Was about to sell it, when the buyer reneged. I decided it was the perfect EDC and started setting i5 up as such. Found your channel while researching. Subscribed. Now to watch the rest of the videos in this series!

I've been slowly build BOB bag been watch few good vids on bug out ,good rule of thumb is keep your pack light 10 % your body weight so me 80 kg = 8 kg pack means can Cover more ground quicker and not use much water / energy to feed body makes sense get older like my 24 / 48 pack be light as possible what's your thoughts?

      G'day Ian.
Your pack will be as light as your knowledge is heavy.
Both of the above are things to aim for.
One thing I will add is a good comfortable pack with a chest strap and waist belt. This saves you energy, and a comfortable pack also helps mentally.
