Underrated manager
Really like Him 👀👀
He's being touted as the potential manager of one of the most high profile clubs in the world. He literally couldn't be any less underrated.
He's rated perfectly. Doing a great job for a small club with a very direct style that wouldn't suit a top team
Love this man, as a Liverpool fan not against him coming in. Altho Alonso is still my top choice
Coming in for wat? he is a cool guy but no thanks.. kinda inexperience yet.
@@zorashki he has more experience than Alonso..
@@Do27ggu see what alonso doing in Germany turning a team with not much money into going to be champion. That's a big deal!
@@deepakmorar7747 I know that’s why my first choice is Alonso..?
@@Do27gg got it wrong sorry
As a Liverpool fan I really like Thomas Frank and honestly he's probably my 4th choice behind Alonso, De Zerbi and (there are a few). I like the style of football he plays
His affinity for Erikson is genuine and full of admiration of a pure football talent. I'm grateful for Frank and Brentford giving him the opportunity to return to top-level football .
He said he's been in touch with Eriksen over a potential return in the summer 👀
Erikson should, it would be a great place for him, and Toney would benefit the most or who ever is the #9
Its because they both Danish
@WontHAVEit , yes, but that's beside the point. There's plenty of Danish players that aren't at Brentford. If you watched the video and listened. Frank coached him when Erikson was younger and saw his talent well before he made a name for himself
@@forza218 i just mentioned it for people that didnt know. Not in any context bro. Besides that. The guy had 6 Danish players in his lineup in the same game 2 seasons ago. Goes to show he puts his fellow country men first. But yeah have a blessed night. Peace and love ✌🏾
Lowkey have him for the liverpool gig but cautious that it would be like a moyes to man utd type situation
liverpool is in a much better position than man u was when fergie left, the glazers started ruining the club years before and the team were all old when moyes came in and they had their way of playing so if moyes was slightly different he’d of struggled which is what happened. Liverpool has a great crop of young to middle aged players now in every position, realistically there’s only 4 players that need replacing in the next 5 years and that’s ali, virgil, robbo and salah. Salah might need replacing this summer, virgil the summer after then the other 2 in a couple years but genuinely other than those 4 no one needs replacing and players will only improve as they hit their peak age so it’s a perfect situation to come into rather than joining and needing 5/6 players instantly. Salah is the only player that needs addressing this summer and even he might stay we’ll see
Would like Thomas Frank at Liverpool as well. I don't think the owners would be forgiven if they missed out on Alonso, though. Assuming he wants to join us.
@@capri2673Alonso can be Frank lampard to us
U glory hunter
@@capri2673Xabi Alonso has officially stated that he will be staying at Leverkusen
Thomas Frank has done a great job at Brentford. If Xabi Alonso doesn't join Liverpool in the near future then Thomas Frank would be an excellent choice. I rate him highly. He plays aggressive attacking football. He would do well at Anfield.
I love this manager, he's the most honest manager in football!
And just like Klopp he answers good questions thoroughly and with honesty but given absurd questions, he shut the journalists down. He seems like such a balanced grounded person and when in top clubs, often sourounded by drama, that are a needed quality, also when acting outside the direct squad work.
The project Frank and Brentford have together are the biggest success story of PL in my opinion. Constant growth based on a healthy growing economic foundation. His, Brentfords and Eriksens brilliant collaboration made Brentford a global brand. Whom would not be interested in listening if Thomas Frank called? The way Brenford dealt with Eriksen now have opened Brenford up as a club where others that have been out, for whatever reason, can come and prove themselves for a season to show the football world they are back.
Seems like such a nice guy, and his reletionship with his players are second to none. I think one of the bigger clubs should go for him, cause his man management and in game management is superb.
No star player would listed to this guy . I agree tho he is a great coach , you gotta he more than a coach to become big club manager
@@Magicagic89 Ivan Toney and Ollie Watkins listened to him, and Watkins is a star forward now, and so is Toney, and TOney will probably be one of the most expensive players signed by a PL club this summer.
You don't need a star player. You create them. @@Magicagic89
@martinjasper7650 those 2 are not even close to being starts m8 , gotta learn to watch the sport , they are more like farts in the wind !
Brilliant manager but feel Brentford is the perfect club for him.
Yeah can't see him leaving. I know lots of people in football say things that mean nothing, but he's already rejected bigger clubs and said previously he's here for the long run.
I'd take him at Liverpool ahead of Mr Dull Alonso.
His probably gone be another potter
@@nonnayoubuzinnes1669 Brentford are only 5 points above the relegation zone, I'm sorry but that's not a great CV to bring into an interview for the Liverpool job. John Henry knows the standard required of his next manager post Klopp, and Alonso does fit that bill having guided Bayern Leverkusen from fighting relegation to topping the Bundesliga by 5 points. There's not many managers who could have done that, plus Alonso loves Liverpool so he is rightly the no 1 choice for a lot of people.
@@acurisur You realize what they're gonna do is take a data driven approach in selecting a new manager. Alonso is the favorite but Frank is a strong candidate because he operates under a similar structure to Liverpool's and his teams play a similar style to what Klopp does. Brentford being near relegation has a lot to do with their best players being out for most of the season (Toney & Mbuemo).
Surprisingly great lil interview and questions. Nice! As a Liverpool fan I wouldn't turn my nose for having him after Klopp. Great manager/coach. Hope he can go to the next lvl.
Great manager. Wouldn't mind seeing him at the helm for Liverpool FC.
You can clearly see that he is slowly implementing more expansive styles and paterns with Brentford but has to be pragmatic. Would love to have him at Liverpool.
His real style that he enjoys is a 4-3-3 possession based style that scores a lot of goals. His 2 seasons in the championship were some of the most exciting attacking football the league had ever seen. It's purely down to the quality available at Brentford that makes him play pragmatic football, but that shows how good of a coach he is that he can change styles and coach two totally different ways of playing effectively. He also has a very realistic and grounded view of the ability of his teams so it's rare he makes mistakes that are down to bad team selection or substitutions.
Nope
Xabi or nothing
@@trapboost4841 At the moment there is absolutely nothing that would tell us that Xabi will manage Liverpool next season. Bayer‘s sporting director Rolfes was quite convinced a few days ago that Xabi will stay until 2025. It‘s just stupid to say Xabi or nothing while the search is ongoing.
@@trapboost4841 So if we dont get Xabi Alonso we just close down the club? ok boss
Honestly I love him as a manager and if it wasnt to be Alonso I would be happy with him at Liverpool.
Leverkusen isn’t Liverpool. Alonso should stay there. Unless he wants to end up like Gerard and Lampard
As a Liverpool fan myself, I'm not 100% sure he would be right for the role itself, but coaching ability aside, as he's got such a likeable & charismatic personality, I am sure that he would have a good rapport with the Liverpool following.
As a Red, Mr Frank is a quality human and great manager, find him always honest, articulate, fair and just a proper gentleman coupled with his team always punching far higher than their league position... its not likely with other names in the hat but I would not be mad if he was given the baton after Klopp.
I get that the questions were compiled and asked
I still like the way the follow-up questions the guy asked
Brilliant interview
xabi alonso appointment is very interesting. His tactics are unique and hes heavily influenced by mourinho and benitez, as he often plays a back 5 out of possession and hits teams hard on the counter attack. At the same time hes also influenced a lot by guardiola, as his team has a strict positional play and in possession his team play like a guardiola team.
He is great but he might not choose liverpool. He could go to bayern i am sure they will sack tuchel at the end of the season
@@Felix-op1rwdoubt he’ll go from one German team to another after he may win the league that would make no sense and dent his reputation.. he’ll go Liverpool first or he’ll wait till 2026 for Madrid .. but he won’t get the Liverpool opportunity again so this is he’s last chance. Liverpool next manager they’ll try keep for 10 years .. they ain’t Madrid , Chelsea etc who always get rid of managers .
@@Felix-op1rwMadrid would be the only club he’d choose ahead of Liverpool. Especially right after leaving Leverkusen. Bayern is very toxic BTS atm, their board has too cooks in the kitchen.
And aside from that, he is on record many times saying Liverpool is his club above all others and his dream is to manage Liverpool when the time comes
Helluva guy
Met him in the princess of wales nr embankment, charing x last year
2 min chat, but all positive vibes
Seems like a class act, genuine good dude.
Frank , Peter Schmeichel and Rasmus Højlund and Lego, Carlsberg and Lurpack Butter that's our standard.
If he gets a good tactical backroom and stuff, he'll do well at Liverpool
I kinda jokingly suggested Frank with Agger as Assistant manager, as Frank was Brøndby coach when Agger went back his boyhood club
That would be a power couple for any club! Maybe Frank with Jon Dahl Thomasson as assistant manager, but only in an absolute top club setting. Rumours have that Jon Dahl right now are first on the wish list for Sweden as new national team manager. They saw his work for Malmo that were pretty outstanding.
Love how it’s questions and the first one wasn’t a question 🤔
Thank you as a Newcastle fan
Thank you
Brilliant manager....Brentford play some really nice football...
He comes across as a decent and genuine guy
Let me be frank… it’s not you.
Whats the name of soundtrack in the background
Yep I want to know as well 😂
Very cool n smooth guy 👍
Would LOVE him as manager. Brilliant personality and done great at Brentford on their budget. Him or Pep Lijnders for me. Liverpool have never beaten Brentford at their ground, I think he's the only manager who has stopped Liverpool winning away from home since JK came in.
Same here. I know Alonso is doing great things at Leverkusen but Thomas Frank has more of that Klopp-type charisma. With the right staff it'd be interesting.
@@capri2673I agree too
i think thomas frank would be the one klopp would recommend if he was to offer up a candidate other then pep linders of course lol
why is that the title?
Awesome work Football Meta thanks.Managers who could replace Klopp at Liverpool Marco Silva, Zidane,Roberto De Zerbi,Postocoglou,Hansi Flick,Steven Gerrard,Jose Mourinho,Antonio Conte,Luciano Spaletti,Thomas Frank, and Xabi Alonso. Do you think Klopp as a German Coach all about(Gegenpressing) and when he left it to ball possession Liverpool getting very up and down?
He is such a good manager, Tactician
I defo rate Thomas Frank. He would be a good fit in Liverpool. Big up to him making sure everyone knows he is content where he is.
@@user-zk9xe3wm3v His style of play and his personality. Would suit the club, but it's only my opinion. You are definitely welcome to yours.
Wouldnt mind at all. He has excellent experience in the Prem and does an amazing job with what little he has!
Great coach. Perfect for us.
I don't know what it is for sure but Alonso just seems to have a presence about him. That's important because Klopp has a huge presence and the next manager has to look like they belong in the job otherwise after a couple bad results the pressure would be massive. Frank seems like an amazing coach but I don't know if he'd be right
i feel like theres a risk with xabi alonso and that is that hes a young manager and hes learning on the job and i feel like liverpool need a proven manager like hansi flick or zidane etc.
dude is literally undefeated and battered Bayern twice what do you mean there's a risk
xabi alonso is the new big managers. Good man management and very capable of changing tactics depending of the opponent. The only problem is he might not choose liverpool bc he will get many offers including bayern probably
@@Felix-op1rw i think Bayern will take Mourinho tbh, we’ll see
Lol Hansi „grey goose“ Flick.
Frank Lampard is worth a shout, too. Prem proven and history of success at previous clubs. The Chelsea team he managed in his second year went on to win the Champions League that season
We are lucky to have many great managers in the premier league .I'm really impressed with Frank he is one of them. for me the right manager is the most important part of any teams success. I hope he considers Liverpool if he is offered it rather than my team loosing Ange which I don't think will happen in the next 2/3 years
Is that Umbro top?
Fantastic Manager. Brentford are fantastic to watch! Toney to Liverpool!
You are a brilliant coach and i love your analysis❤🎉 YNWA
That hair is 👏👏. I only watch his interviews so that someone asks about his hair routine someday. Happened today.👍
Lovable Man.
I'm surprised no mention of Benrahma and Watkins at all
A very good manager and I think he’d be a great fit for us.
How can i LIKE this very much!
I'm a Liverpool fan and this guy is my second best manager in the prem after Klopp of course ❤❤❤❤
Not my first pick for manager, but wouldn’t rule it out, done well with Brentford imagine if he had a top 6 budget 🙂
Thomas Frank attracts the same admiration as Ivan Toney, David Raya and Bryan Mbeumo?
He is my top choice for Liverpool. I know Alonso needs a bit more time but he has that stability to bring something different to Liverpool and to think of the players he has brought through , Maupay, Toney, Watkins. He would get so many players through from that Academy and might even convince Toney to sign.
Not 1st of April yet lads.
Much better suited than alonso
I’d be happy with either Frank Alonso or Anorim at Liverpool
I've called for Frank since the day Klopp announced he is leaving us. The ONE concern I have is that, his personality is so close to Klopp's that I fear he will be fighting a losing battle by trying to show that he is not a poor imitation of him.
Pleasant guy ❤
Tommy's a top bloke.
He wouldn't be a bad choice to take over from Klopp. Both have the same tactical principles.
I think he'd be a good Moyes replacement, but I think replacing Klopp is a jump
West ham would be a perfect jump for him or even Brighton
You can do it bro
come to anfield asap
Alonso is my top choice
But I'd like this guy in as an alternative
Smart fella
Frank and Toney would be a good double swoop for liverpool
I agree. 👌🏾💯💫
Hes a great manager
Top manager but more importantly, a top bloke. Credit to the league!
Not likely.
Great manager and great guy. But man do I want Xabi. And I would be devastated if he didn’t come here.
He's like some kind of movie star. Like you've seen him on Netflix or something.
As a fan of the US national team, please all day every day I would take him as our manager
A charming guy with 2 first names. What's not to like
When the foreign coach speaks BETTER English than dat brother from South London
As a dane my self, I can honestly say most of us speak english at that level. he's got a heavy danish accent, but we can't all speak as Jan Mølby.
Would love him at Liverpool, but i dont think hed be a popular appointment, which would immediately put him on the back foot.. sadly!!!!
I’d love Frank at Liverpool. My only worry would be that we need to get Alonso now so that we don’t miss out to Madrid or Bayern. If Alonso wants to join Liverpool in 6 years, I’d love a Thomas Frank spell in between.
I eonder if pep drinks? Klopp on the beers, and sir alax on the wiskey
I think he fits Liverpool , Alanso is a good manager but he dont fit tacticaly
Really want Alonso but if we can’t get him then I’d take Frank for sure.
Seems a great easy honest man, but ofcourse he's free to be at brentford. At the big clubs, managers become a bit bitter/jaded from the constant expectations, having less training time because of more games, dealing with outside media. Whoever will be the next lfc manager will have to manage all this..
As good as anyone if we don,t get alonso. But has to be Alonso, be a big disapointment if it isn,t.
This type of coaches are meant for the midteams.
@acurisur Have you seen the budget Frank has had? Plus his best player was unavailable until a couple of weeks ago. He did amazing to get them promoted and keep them up every season. He knows the premier league and he also fits Liverpool far better than Alonso with his personality. Klopp's biggest asset is his man management, he's a father figure to them and gets everybody smiling. Alonso has zero personality and is no father figure type.. And having 15 months experience is nothing. Hansi Flick won everything at Bayern and won UEFA coach of the year, then he flopped in his next job. Some of our fans think ex Liverpool players should be managers, it would have been Gerrard had he stayed at Rangers. Sentiment shouldn't come into it.
NO
Sorry but Alonso is the right man for the job 😊🤝
such an underrated manger, coming from a city fan ❤🤍❤️ 💙
No bloody way, not in a MILLION Years.
I like him.
As nice a man he is, he's not right for Liverpool. There's a different expectation now and not sure he could deal with it.
no
Respectfully no
nope
Really wouldn't mind having him at Liverpool. I think however, that he would be a more risky appointment than Xabi Alonso, because he has less experience coaching / playing at the top level. Still, I'd be very excited if he ends up managing Liverpool.
i respect thomas franck alot. but from this interview, it doesnt seem like he has much more than 5 years left in the premier league, therefore inthink liverpool should look for a manager with more longevity
you heard it here first
Graham Potter will be liverpools next manager
You’re smoking crack
He has always been my second choice behind Xabi alonso.
absolutely not
I honestly think we can lose Toney at the end of the season and we'll probably be alright, but without Thomas I'd be very pessimistic about staying in the Prem.
When he first got the job he'd been promoted from within after Dean Smith left for Villa and we had a really bad run in the first 8-10 games or so, but he turned it around and adapted brilliantly to the inevitable loss of Watkins and Benrahma after losing in the playoff final. Go and get Alonso FSG, nothing to see here!
I will take your comment as an attempt to keep Thomas Frank at Brentford! I can fully understand your attempt. I started following Brentford when he took over in a tight situation and he have done so well, that it are ridiculous that he have not won manager of the year last 3 years. I hope for Brentford that Thomas Frank stays for many years building Brentford further and getting them higher but on the the hand, his children now are approaching the age where he could be tempted to move on if the right package comes along. And then I would be sad for Brentford but happy for a good guy that truly deserves bigger tasks. Thomas can make a squad look in the same direction, and often a new one from game to game, depending on opposition with success, not many can!
Alonso understands the Liverpool culture and fans. He may be a young and inexperienced manager, but all managers started somewhere. Being inexperienced has nothing to do with it. If he's a good manager, he will be successful. Ten Hag is a good manager but has owners (Glazers) that don't invest in the club, unlike Liverpool, who do invest and support the manager
But Frank philosophy is similar to Klopp tbh...
I like him to be fair and he's destined for the top. MCFC OK
To be fair I'd rather give Frank the job than de zerbi, feel like he'd fit the club more and has been a blinding manager for a club like Brentford.
He might be another Graham Potter. Overachieve at Brentford but struggle at a club like Liverpool like what potter did at Chelsea.
