In this video, ‪@howto-intamil941‬ How to share your location on WhatsApp in Tamil language. Through WhatsApp mobile app we can send both your current location and real-time location
tracking i.e live location to your friends and family members. The sharing location helps you to get the current and the nearby locations of people. You can control how long to share your live location to others. You can also stop sharing your live location at any time. Once stopped or expired, your live location is no longer be shared to others. This feature is end-to-end encrypted, which means no one can see your live location except the people you shared with.
Steps to Share your live location through Whatsapp:
Step 1: Open your WhatsApp app on your phone. Make sure to on the location settings.
Step 2: Click on Chats and select the group or individual you want to send your location.
Step 3: Click on the paperclip icon on the message field then Choose the ‘Location’ icon.
Step 4: Now select the location from the list available ‘Share Live Location’ to share your live location the choose the period of time - 15 minutes, one hour, or eight hours. Choose which one you prefer, and the map will instantly update as you move about.
Step 5: Or choose "Current location" to share your location which will not update.
Step 6: Finally, tap on the ‘Send’ option.
In the receiver end Tapping on the map will open up your contact’s default Map app on their phone, where they can zoom in and out to get better information on your location.
How to stop sharing the location on Whatsapp:
Step 1: Open the WhatsApp app on your device.
Step 2: Reopen the group or individual chat.
Step 3: Select stop sharing - STOP.
