These are my favorite format of Adam's videos -- where he just unhurriedly looks around small towns. They are so respectful and relaxing. And, with his videos, I get to look around towns where I wish I had the time to stop and visit.
Pretty cool to show all the small towns in the area. I'm from Ossian (Ah-See-eh) so I recognized a bunch of the areas around. And yeah you were right pretty early on in the video, our landscape is corn, corn, corn, some beans, and corn. Also the Chief statue in Montpelier was featured in the intro to the show Parks and Recreation, for anyone who haa seen the show. And since you brought up the court house in Hartford city, there's also a large old sandstone brick court house in the town of Bluffton that looks pretty nice as well. It was built in 1889.
What a treat to be able to cross this amazing country via small towns and back roads. There is so much history, like living time capsules if you will. Really enjoying this series, Adam! Thanks for bringing us along. :)
Didn’t realize you were going through Indiana. I would have told you to go through Peru Indiana. It’s called - Circus Captial of the World. Peru was the winter headquarters for several famous circuses, including Ringling Brothers, Hagenbeck-Wallace, Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show, and others.[14] The International Circus Hall of Fame is located in Peru. It’s a small town. Best Spanish hot dogs. My husband and his family are from there.
It seems like we, people from Indiana, are the only ones who know that Peru is the circus capital of the world.... so much about Indiana the rest of the world doesn't know about...
This was awesome! I live north of Indianapolis. I love our corn fields and the farmers harvesting. The cows were great. They were quite interested in you in the last scene! 😂👍🏻
Being unfortunate enough to have lived in Gaston at one time (pronounced Gas-tin), I gotta say had you just did a little turn and filmed across the street but behind you while getting the shot of the liquor store you could have shown Gaston's first and possibly only ever hospital. Just North, over there in Mathews, there's a historic covered bridge and natural spring. When driving through these small towns you should stop and ask locals if there's any points of interest you may be unaware of.
Sounds amazing tbob ! Sounds like my kind of dream location to live, I’m paul 52 from clogged up London uk . I dream of that ….”small agriculture town” 😊
Very cool video to me and I've been watching you for years. The tiny town of Yoder is literally about 5 miles from where I work at the Ft Wayne Airport in the Air Guard. I have friends who live in Ossian, Yoder, and Poe. Not quite sure how you went from 24 on the Ohio line down to Noblesville because 24 does go through the state to IL, but very cool video. Had you stayed on 24 you would have gone through Huntington which is where I live. You just missed the soy bean harvest...that's where the fields were bare. They're cutting down the corn now. Now I wonder about cars stopping near my house for no apparent reason and I'll wonder if it yoo, the Woo...lol.
I'm surprised you didn't go through Santa Claus Indiana! Oh well, that would be another future trip as Brown state park right next door is a great place to explore.
Born and lived most my life in Indiana. Old State Road 40 is a fabulous step back in time. Miss home. Thank you for your road trip. Those are Black Angus. Down in Brown County Indiana you will see towns called Gnaw Bone, and Bear Waller. Common road name will be Grandmaw Barnes Road. Love the small town midwest.
What a great adventure Adam loved looking at all the old vintage signs, buildings and soda machines and not to mention the beautiful scenery and just thank you Adam for making this adventure one heck of a good time with the way you talk about everything you showed because it just makes me me feel so good inside to relive a little bit of history because like I always say your never to old to learn about what America use to look like and with your journey back to Southern California your giving me a taste of good old Americana and I can’t wait to see and learn more so thanks again Adam and with that peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you and I’ll see you on the next vlog adventure also please be safe out there
I am from Indiana and you mentioned towns I didn't know about. LOL, the wind is brisk? That wind can be painful at times... you're from Oklahoma so you understand about the brisk wind.... If you get a chance, get a Pizza King pizza in Indiana! The best! Indiana is beautiful in the fall. In northern Indiana there is a large Amish community. Indiana is known for their Amish towns... It is worth visiting. Also you mentioned the ground rumbling when the train went by. At night when the farmers are farming, you will feel this low rumbling. Every thing around you is dark. The ground starts moving even more. As if something is walking towards you... suddenly you will see a glow. Suddenly you start to hear a low growling.. then there are two eyes in the distance.. it is a farmer on his combine... I miss moments like that. Also James Dean is from Fairmount, IN. He's buried there, too. Also John Mellencamp is from IN. All his videos were shot in IN. But....... I'm sure you already knew about all of this!! Thanks for this video!!! It was great!

You might be around metamora Indiana if so stop there! It’s awesome! It’s a small town with sma diners and that’s like an Halloween town. Has haunted train rides on the weekends
Love that boat ride and the well preserved town! Not to mention the train ride. Many years ago, an Elvis impersonator had an Elvis memorabilia store there, I believe it was called, “A Touch of Memphis”. I looked into his Elvis sunglasses, trying to keep a straight face, and said, “You’ve got a great store here.” To which he replied,...”Thank-you, thank-you very much.” I snorted trying not to burst out laughing.

Adam, just loved your video! I missed it yesterday because, I watched my Uncle David's funeral on Facebook and went walking to the corner to watch the funeral procession go by. He was the fire chief of Milburn Ok.
Yoder name is pronounced Yo der...pronounced kinda like Yo in yo yo toy. Amish country and Amish name. Loving your travels Adam....you aren't too far from our own Michigan~ Stay safe
That's exactly what I was thinking! I read a lot of Amish fiction and know there are a lot of Amish living in Indiana. More and less expensive farm land for them there than in Penn.
Wow mr. Woo. Love this. Family in Indiana. And growing up from socal, my mother made me move to the middle of nowhere northern Indiana, in the middle of my high school years. In 2003. Was there for about 3 years. And moved back. It's like different worlds. But miss is also.
I love that you came through Indiana! Next time drive through Terre Haute. We are home to the design of the Coca-Cola bottle that we all know and love. We also have a lot of local history (like the oldest and first women's college, that is said to be haunted, I can vouch for that) and interesting stories like how John Dillinger would never rob a train here for fear of getting stopped by a train. If you do stop through let us know! 😁

This character spent more time chattin to cows, steers, horses than to the suffering folks. We noiticed that when he showed a "church" it seemed to be in good shape. Aint that typical. Go look at parts of poverty stricken Italy and what do we find but massive luxury buildings. When we first were approached by victims we did not fully believe their tales. Within two yrs we went to the giant HGQ of the Catholic Religion in London and tried to tell them about all the evidence.,they could not care less We went to that Catholic HQ because one of their "faithful" supporters when he had an accident was offered 5 pence by a vicar as a remedy for poverty. We went to five other religions and all politrical orgs, wirth same result. We then found out trhat they are getting handouts thro Govt and or Charity lotterty etc.We were getting threats .Its all about compliance which keeps the Govt in place. When you add sport, art ,drama you got a mirror image of 3rd Reich and Roman empire PR. The kids are the scapegoats We have now found over 26 corrupt Universities and no student responds. That also took place in 1933 Germany. The man doing these films needs to become more human rather trhan play silly games in order to appease the public and get ticks.. When ever he did rarely, manage tro talk to someone the other person was almost imposs to hear. How come? When he fills up with gas theres rarely any view other that the gas hose. He spends ages trying to re enact some crap violent or cop movies and seems to be engrossed with that horrific scene. I reckon hes just usin PR to enhance viewing by giving a clueless ands naive public what they want. How irresponsible. Has he got kids? Our advice? Go do somethin useful. Go work for Trump or Clintons.Theres an Amat Radio station Dallas who transmit every day at 8am to 10 am. 38.40 Bill N frends. They got sheds full of firearms. They say the bad areas are all Democrat but we dont know if its true. We told N Pilozi but no sign of reply. Dont worry about the public will you. ..We are just scum. But the virus is doing some payback. Whjat a shame .Local Govt to us- "If Theres Anything Wrong With Local Govt The public Must Go get a Lawyer" to communicate with the lawyer already paid for.Appeasement and Manipulation aint workin.
Gary Larson would be proud of those cow shots at the end. You just missed them standing around smoking and joking ... lol.
Outstanding! This is what brought me to the Woo years ago. Terrific to see a return to the good stuff.
These are my favorite format of Adam's videos -- where he just unhurriedly looks around small towns. They are so respectful and relaxing. And, with his videos, I get to look around towns where I wish I had the time to stop and visit.
Allways enjoy watching your videos Adam. Greetings from South Africa.
So happy to see you on the back roads again. Without a doubt, some of my favorite UA-cam videos. Thank you!
Lol. Haven't been to Mr. Weinie for awhile.
@@cindylouwho9215 the Rochester foundry was used to house some of the animals. There are still some hitching rings on the walls
This was awesome! I live north of Indianapolis. I love our corn fields and the farmers harvesting. The cows were great. They were quite interested in you in the last scene! 😂👍🏻
You're near me!!! I'm near Fort Wayne, Indiana. I'm in Harlan. I am THRILLED that YOU were literally 5 minutes from my house!
You really should have taken us 40 across the state for this video. Thank you for posting the video.
Also,Hartford city is the home of Steve McQueen.
I live in a small agriculture town in Brownsville Union County Indiana enjoyed your video.
Sounds amazing tbob ! Sounds like my kind of dream location to live, I’m paul 52 from clogged up London uk . I dream of that ….”small agriculture town” 😊
Sooo pretty I just love the countryside, and so cute how you chat with the cows🤗😍 and glad to see you're wearing a jacket yay😂
I love you showing us these out of the way places Adam, Thanks.
I love this channel and I love this guy. His style of narration is so comforting & satisfying ❤️.
Loving your travels and adventures - from the UK. Stay safe!
I love this series ! How fun to travel across country and showing landmarks people wouldnt normally visit or know about !
I LOVE THESE!!j Historic little towns and back roads you do are amazing! because many of us will never go there. I love the nooks and crannies!
I'm surprised you didn't go through Santa Claus Indiana! Oh well, that would be another future trip as Brown state park right next door is a great place to explore.
Wrong end of the state.
@@tallentstravels5727 As I said a place for another trip!

I love your travels through the back roads. I sometimes wish I could just get in my car and go. You aspire me to travel. Thank you.
Great video Adam! These are my favorite videos you do. We would be proud to have you in Indiana and make you a "Hoosier".
This is the kind of content that first brought me to your channel, this is what I love about your channel.
I think you went by whistlin diesel's house hense those tires marking hahah
What a great adventure Adam loved looking at all the old vintage signs, buildings and soda machines and not to mention the beautiful scenery and just thank you Adam for making this adventure one heck of a good time with the way you talk about everything you showed because it just makes me me feel so good inside to relive a little bit of history because like I always say your never to old to learn about what America use to look like and with your journey back to Southern California your giving me a taste of good old Americana and I can’t wait to see and learn more so thanks again Adam and with that peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you and I’ll see you on the next vlog adventure also please be safe out there
I love old Towns. Gee I think this pass week you pass my house few times. Thank you Adam. Wish I can go with you. Stay safe.
I love this video, so well done Adam. Great scenes of our heartland.
31.10.20. UK.Backroads US. Our Credentials Not Spell Chckd. This is what the UK Police have told us can never be read by public..Firstly re the films. When we saw the first few episodes this we were impressed But just as with so many of the films on the Internet we started thinkin, not just lookin. Here is what we know to be of value. Our trainin was 12 yrs spent traipsin Cent London knockin at doors axxompanied by victims of the establ. We got death threats from HM court system and the US security orgs like Burns. They were the ones who shot and beat up US Workers when they refused to Accept starvation wages.. We are still being subjected to violence by Police and we have endured threats of violence by US embassy etc. The public are not much different. We found 2.5 people who could be trusted. The friends we had at BBC said- "Hide the Evidence Abroad" The indictment? 30000 avoid deaths over 35 yrs. The press,.F-bk. twitter. yahoo etc destoy the evidence. Heres our report on the films about backroads. I love watching these videos. Don,t let anyone tell you they are no good, because they are especially now when I have had all my summer outtings canceled and have been home a lot more. I feel like I am with you and takeing a road trip with you. I love them so please don,t stop posting them.
CORN indeed! Someone's got to feed both LEFT COASTS! We, the Deplorables of the Fly-over-zone salute your choice of Indiana!
While in Indiana, be sure to visit the Das Dutchman Essen Haus (The Dutchman Eating House) in Middlebury, Indiana, best fried chicken around. The Amish do food right! 😃
BTW, excellent video, love the small towns on the back roads! Beats Dismay Land anyday
Yea, someone has to buy the corn. Otherwise there would be no point of growing it. Why do you need to turn this nice video into a Trump rally?

I love it when you talk to the cows. They look at you like you're crazy. 😂😂 It cracks me up! Great video. I love the backroad vlogs!
I live in Indiana and I got a huge kick out of this video. I recognized Lebanon when you were talking about Abe Lincoln because I lived there once. My in-laws had a big farm there and I drove those backroads all the time. I have an Uncle and cousins who live in Gaston. LOL at your pronunciation and why! 😂 This was fun. Thank you. 😊
I love the scenic routes & have never been on Indiana. Thanks.
A big thumbs up for this video “Driving thru Indiana: Forgotten Small Towns & Backroads.” This was a very enjoyable 16 minute segment, with interesting architecture, town names, animals like dogs, cows including one giraffe! Thank YOU, Adam the Woo.
g,day adam from melbourne australia, this is what i love to see , small town america, freight trains and extremely inquisitive cows.
loving every minute of this trip, thanks mr.woo.
Love love these videos of old time Americana when times were simpler and people were more kind to one another
Oh my... when you were going past the grain bins just before the Montpelier segment you were 1 mile away from my house. It would have been awesome to host The Woo!! Enjoy your trip via the back roads and be safe.
He clearly said that he wasn’t spending the night in the state. So your recommendation is 24 hours too late.
I can’t say that I blame Adam for hightailing it out of the Midwest, in November! I live in southern Indiana and it’s brrr degrees outside
i love your videos because as a guy from germany it shows me america in a way that you don't get to see on tv or in the movies. some good old americana :)
I love these. I always feel I'm riding shotgun right along with you!
Love this video. I have been a Hoosier all my life and lived in Advance some years ago. You covered some of my husband's old stopping grounds back in his youth near Ossian.
SUPER EXCITED!
LOVE LOVE your back roads of America vlogs
Thanks for all you do Adam
Man, there’s a lot of corn in Indiana.😁 nice work, Adam. Thank you and safe travels.👍🏼🤘🏼😎
You’re right by Fort Wayne lol I love just crushing outside of the city and driving through these small towns! I use to live in hamlet Indiana and these small towns remind me of home
I love your road trip videos of Americana. Cheers eh from Ontario Canada.
Happy Halloween🎃🎃👻👻 Great video🇺🇸🇬🇧😷👍
Traveled many of those exact same roads as I travel the state repairing and calibrating corn planters. Montpelier and Gaston are near home. Thanks for sharing
And I don’t think Ossian is oh-sigh-un, isn’t is ah-see-un?? (I could be wrong) 🤷🏼♀️
That's exactly what I was thinking! I read a lot of Amish fiction and know there are a lot of Amish living in Indiana. More and less expensive farm land for them there than in Penn.
I live near there...He mispronounced Yoder, Ossian, and Gaston. The way you all think they are pronounced are correct.
@@wendy3girl Yes, LOTS of Amish all over. I live in Amish country.
I prefer baby Yoder personally.
Lol!, I like your Squirrel theory. I wouldn't doubt it, as anything is possible.....Safe Travels!
Wow mr. Woo. Love this. Family in Indiana. And growing up from socal, my mother made me move to the middle of nowhere northern Indiana, in the middle of my high school years. In 2003. Was there for about 3 years. And moved back. It's like different worlds. But miss is also.
Love seeing small town America and the relics still standing! Hope to see more videos like this so I can see the world through your lens.
My home state and I miss it most this time of year. Safe travels!
Really enjoy your work. So relaxing. Keep them coming.
Great series Adam! It's fun to watch these vlogs showing the roads less traveled.
Really love your vids. Can't wait for all this craziness to be done and get back on the road ourselves.
Love small town america. I live in a small town in ohio. Surrounded by country. I can watch these type of videos everyday. Thank you.
These bring back memories of the St. Joseph, IL, my home town. Thank-you.
I so love the road trips you do Adam this is great were about to enter a second lock down here in England so these vlogs really help my anxiety a big thank you 👍
Thanks for having me along for the ride on the road trip i would love to be there with you this is quite the trip safe travels adam hope to see more videos of you just traveling on the road seeing the sights
Sooo refreshing and peaceful. Thank-you, Adam! (I'm so tempted to move to one of those small country towns!)
Home sweet. There is always more to do in Indiana. Love that you went through my state.
Thanks for being our eyes in small town America. Always very enjoyable!
It was cool as heck yesterday. It's pretty cold today too.. I live in Syracuse Indiana but was born in Plymouth Indiana
