This feature only works for few videos of youtube and only if you open settings app from notification panel when a video is playing, its totally depended on videos that youtube allow pip. (Works properly on The Deshbhakt channel videos)

Go to the recently used apps and press the logo few seconds after it shows drop here to open bring it to the meddle of the display, then u can use it like that

Okay this only works on some videos it doesn't work on every video. One of the video which i was watching could see picture and picture mode but it isn't working on any other video..

Permanent solution clear storage. Had a bunch of apps installed I deleted them so I can download pokemon ultra moon rom hack and that somehow fixed it my phone is faster and I haven't had any problems.

My UA-cam app started doing something similar today when I try to close a video, it doesn't close but stays as a small tile on top of the screen and I have to do an extra click to get it to close. I don't know if I changed some setting accidentally or they changed something in the app. I don't use (or want) this feature and I checked my picture in picture setting again and it's still turned off in my settings. Anyone else notice this? Is there a way to put it back like before?

Turn your Google Pixel 7 off, reboot it and check whether the problem has been solved. If not, make sure you've installed the most recent device software. If still unsolved factory reset your phone.
I want to know the opposite: I dissbled cuz it glitches my Chrome permanently and other apps that allow it too. But my phone keeps enabling it by itself eithout warning. WHY DOES IT DO THAT AND HOW DO I STOP THIS STUBBORN MACHINE OF DISOBEYING ME?

Happens sometimes with software. Try closing the app and clearing it from the background, then restart the app and try again. If it doesn't work, just restart your phone. It should solve the issue.
