- Another very wet day welcomed all that were heading to Whissendine for Boiler testing. The road to the track site was a quagmire and has been for weeks. Lucky nobody got stuck.
Just when it will dry up god only knows.
A very special steam up for Scott Gregg as his brand new loco, built by him was going to have it's first run around the track.
It is a Gert, modified and now based on a loco from the Tanfield railway. Fantastic work Scott.
The sun came out in the afternoon so all was good for everyone to have a run, although a bit later than was planned.
Boiler testing out of the way and off we went.
Wonderful video
Thanks for the visit mels
Very nice ...bet Scott is well chuffed
He is Dave. A very clever young man. As it was only it's first run, it will get a lot better when fully run in. Best wishes Chris
Nice beefy looking loco, that saddle tank
Yes Scot has made an excellent job with this loco. Looking forward to seeing it pull his wagons around.
Do they ever use the raised track? Thank you for sharing
We do, but it's only one member that normally runs on it. He was using it on Sunday, early on when it was raining, you may have seen it a very nice 5" Shay on my other videos. Every one prefers the ground level and to be honest members are all buying or building 7 1/4 loco's.
Chris, is this a 1 inch scale Loco?
yes just a tad over, if i'm right. Best wishes Chris and Rosie.
+NEV -See you soon
We look forward to that Nev. Bye for now.
