Established in 1913 by Sir Sahibzada Abdul Qayyum and Sir George Roose-Keppel, Islamia College Peshawar earned Abdul Qayyum the title "Sir Sayyed of the Frontier." This distinguished institution boasts architectural excellence, melding Islamic Mughal styles with unique Curzonian designs. Recently granted university status, it serves as the cornerstone for three universities and numerous colleges across its expansive 300-acre campus, strategically located at the entrance to the iconic Khyber Pass in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan.
Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah held a profound reverence for Islamia College, making visits in 1936, 1945, and 1948. As a lifelong honorary member of the Khyber Union ICP since 1936, Jinnah generously bequeathed one-third of his estate to this esteemed institution. In recognition, the Quaid Trust has contributed a total of Rs.10,811,600 in various instalments to further the college's mission.
