  • As seen here: • Residents Forced To Cl... , Elephant Hill is a sort of rural/hilly park that has been subject to illegal dumps. Looking at it, it is really easy to dump stuff here. So on a Saturday, the city was able to make their way up here using a demo Perkins truck. Later on the bigger rear loaders were able to make their way up here using one of the 12 entrances. I was lucky enough to volunteer with this clean-up too so this video is the remainder of the clean-up, the heavier stuff is where community volunteers were working. In the last couple seconds of the video you'll see what that scene looked like.

This landscape makes me feel like I'm in the Mojave Desert instead of L.A 🤣🤣🤣. I guess its so barren that people think its okay to turn into an unofficial dumping ground. That Perkins truck looks like it would be ideal for collecting park trash. Parks and Recreation should really invest in a few of those with grippers for the drum barrels they use for trash cans. It's almost like they got the design inspiration from a toy truck. Those New Way Rear Loaders really handle all sorts of large crap remarkably well. Looks like they loaded parts of a car into the Cobra RL. They should order more of those full size Cobras on 4 axle midlift 520's and stuff all the street racer cars into them. I wouldn't mind seeing my tax dollars go for that and I'd even pay to see some modified Honda's get crunched.
