When it comes to picture clarity and technology, Sony is still best. They don’t sell too much because of their price and lack of marketing. However, nowadays TVs are just a game of 1-2 years so people always go for a cheaper option and change very frequently. This is the reason, many small and new brands sell alot.
@ every brand has its own class of people. Middle class will always goes for cheapest option. For example, the feature which are available in Hyundai Creta or Kia are not even available in high end brands like Mercedes/ BMW entry level 50-60 lakh models but still that class of people will always goes for Mercedes or BMW etc. This is called a brand value. However if we still think small and just choose for quantity over quality then no need for debate or discussion.
Crazy that it took 17 yrs for an American TV company to be in the top 10 while China, Japan and South Korea fighting to be the best like no one ever was, bought my 1st 4K TV in 2017 it was an LG 7 yrs later still works with no problems unlike their appliances tho…
In Korea, when it comes to home appliances and TVs, LG and Samsung are considered equal or slightly above LG. LG falls behind Samsung overseas in terms of brand power and marketing.

Same here, Ambilight and Android TV (now Google TV) makes it stand out from the pack, and because Philips is now using LG OLED panels, I don't think you can go wrong by choosing a Philips OLED TV. Maybe it doesn't have the best overall picture quality/image processor, or the best TV features/specs, but the fact that it has Ambilight and that I can pretty much install any Android app I want makes it the obvious choice for me. We've had several Philips TVs with Ambilight in the house since 2008, and that 1st Ambilight TV is still in the house: a 37", Full-HD 1080p, dual-sided Ambilight Philips TV, lol!

@@serrael-182 The panels may be produced by LG, at least the OLED ones, but for the the larger models they buy the parts from the OLED panel seperately and put them together with their own special sauce. If you ever experienced the MZW2004, you know it's not the same. I know someone who regretted replacing his Panasonic Plasma with a cheap LG OLED, because there is no more headphone jack which he needs at night so he won't entertain the whole building. He wanted to sell me his TV twice already to buy a Panasonic OLED. Sadly Panasonic is going to fade out the developement of MyHomescreen, which is the OS that makes even 15 year old TVs work like brand new even though UA-cam and TuneIn are no longer operational on them. In a few month the new A-Series, the naming will be pretty similar to Samsung, will launch with FireTV OS replacing MyHomescreen, because of Apps and to get back into the US market. tbh I don't think it'll work, Amazon, Hisense and TCL (excluding the 115") are much cheaper.

I am with Sony mostly. 2 LCD TV's - one 2010, one 2017 and they are still working with good colours. I had 6 Sony phones, one of them failed after 1,5 years of use. The other 5 were in perfect working order, but I have replaced them with newer ones. 2 home theater systems - both still working. 1 Sony Vaio laptop - the battery said after 7 years of daily use as desctop PC, but the laptop was still working although it got very slow over the years. Before that we had Sony CRT TV- had a problem after 1 year, but got fixed under warranty and worked for another ~ 20 years till we got tired of it and replaced it. We had a cassette player for 30 years that filed after those many years. I had several Goldstar/LG products. Most of them failed within the warranty except the Goldstar VHS player that was perfect for almost 20 years. LG phones - probably the worst ones that you can get after Motorola. Had 5 Huawei smartphones. Just great products. Have 2 desctop PCs of Acer and 1 Acer monitor - just rock solid. They are all working fine, although the monitor is 16 years old and show signs of colour loss and flickerings. I am considering of buying another Sony TV around Christmas - it will be 75 or 85 inches for my man's cave that I want to setup. Although I have had 2 failures with Sony product I love the picture quality. It just better the competition when you compare them side by side in the shop. I know...the prices are X2 compared to Samsung and LG and x3-x4 compared to the cheaper brands from China. I rather pay more for the pleasure than go cheap and unhappy. You rather spend a week in Bora Bora, than 2 weeks in Punta Cana. You rather buy Mercedes and have the pleasure driving it for 10 years, than having a cheap c Toyota trash that will have 0 problems for 20+ years but with 0 pleasure since day 1. Wow. Japan was the powerhouse of electronics in the 1980s, and now Sony is the only presence with less than 4% market share. Hisense produces low-end junk, but TCL has been quite impressive lately with its new models. I wonder if LG is suffering with market share right now because it is ready to introduce new display technology.

The 5-year-old Samsung TV in my room bought in December of 2019 is still as good as new upto this time. Samsung takes long before it breaks while its Chinese counterparts have lifespan of 3 years only
Sad to see some of the once top brands now been taken over by the brands from China. LG have lost ground to Samsung due to their insistance of sticking with Oled, these panels have a finite life and i see many on my repair bench with failed panels that should have lasted far longer. To be fair to the brands from China they are getting better, but still use underated components and connectors often burn out on Hisense models required new connectors and pcb's which not worth the expense on sets out of warranty. Samsung sets i see plenty of, probably due to the high numbers that are sold. The saying of "They don't make them like they used to" realy does apply to todays TV's

Philips and Panasonic are still there and doing well
Samsung's QLED is awesome but you still can't beat LGs OLED
Panasonic is a really underrated brand. Maybe it's not as innovative and high end as Sony but I have a feeling it's better quality than Samsung and LG TVs. We have a 2015 model in our house and it works like new
They have highens modells with lgs panels like all the other brands too. They all are very similiar!
Panasonic are some of the best TVs out there.
Sony and Panasonic use OLED panels made from Samsung and LG
Because Japan can't make OLED TV panels
Sony Bravia is a Samsung OLED TV panel
Panasonic used LGD TV panel
There the best quality, just they pull out of US market, only in europe
It's just now that I realized that this industry was and still dominated by Asian countries
Very interesting info graph
I own a Sony. Don't watch it though. Since 2010. But for me Sony is TV.
Sony vs Samsung, both are nice with excellent pictures!
LG Samsung Sony booth are best ❤❤❤
You rather buy Mercedes and have the pleasure driving it for 10 years, than having a cheap c
Toyota trash that will have 0 problems for 20+ years but with 0 pleasure since day 1.
I rather have a comfortable cheat, bad, house ect... You get the point, right!?
Pleasure first!!! After all, we all have one life to live...
Price & Quality ratio, nothing beats TCL & Hisense
Garbage chinese brand
How long do these videos take to make?

The first quantum dot TVs were Sony in 2013. Just because they branded it as Triluminos rather that QD doesn't make it not the same technology.

Interessante como a Sony não se reinventou, era líder em TV aliás tecnologia japonesa é de alto nível. E as Sul Coreanas tomaram o mercado, porém as Chinesas cresceram demais
Korean people said, TV is LG.
No really, Korean people say TV is Samsung

Got a Samsung LED tv 10 years ago . Still working and not a single problem.❤❤
Our Sony 26 inch is more than 20 years old and doing good than latest models
I was a Sony guy for a long time but the quality just dipped hard. My last two TVs have been Vizio and they've lasted a long time without issues. Too bad Walmart bought then out.
I bought Samsung TV in 2007. It runs well without any problem. I guess I can use it for 10 more yrs. Just amazing!!
The Sony tax 🤦♂️
Example:
77 inch oled LG - $3000
77 inch oled Sony - $3500
Samsung ❤
Worst option 😂
Samsung ❤❤
Samsung,lg의 투명한 TV를 기다리며..
Today with more TV brands DO NOT make the BIG mistake to buy TV if has not OS GoogleTV or any Android !
You will understand why on the way.
Now about my favorites. Currently TCL and SONY.
Tcl quality is too poor sony my favortite
I never heard about TCL or Hisense brand until Walmart showed up in my neighborhood.
Samgsung , Lg and Philips . All in my house . This do many years ! A never buy another brand !.
Used to have a Sharp and Samsung LCD TV....finally entered modern times and got myself some budget 4K HDR offbrand tvs. no regrets.
Still using 2010 sony hd tv still excellent sound and picture clarity
Hat tip to Sony for still making it out there, despite Chinese brands dominance.
Sony.. their upscaling and backlight is so good on my xh900
I actually game on my 2011 Samsung HdTv and it works great for that. I now only own Samsungs
I bought samsung Q60D LED TV on 16 july 2024. A very good experience.
S.Korea & Japan = High-end luxury , China = Compact and cheap
Resolution price and functions are the first thing we need. Brand is the last.
Life time TV in ours living room is so short fast fashion then replace by the new one as usual
We had a tv Brand name was Bush from 1985-2004 it was still working but we changed it to LG it worked from 2004-2023 we bought Acer Tv This week lets see how far it goes
I love these types of videos. I also shoot similar videos. Good luck
Should start back from when Curtis Mathes tvs were sold.

Crazy how japanese companies fall so fast
Not fallen just the Korean brands are cheaper. In reality would you rather have a Sony or Lucky Gold star? Easy Sony. It is like for cars. Kia is cheaper than Toyota but would you rather have a Kia or a Toyota? Same idea.

6 years still going strong on my 55-inch Samsung TV
Which model
Sony, Panasonic, Samsung,LG powers.
PLOT TIST: Philips is Skyworth brand, Sony is almost LG and Turkish Vestel (including Medion and Toshiba) is in top 10
I didnt realize Samsung had such a grip on the market
In terms of picture quality and reliability, Sony is hard to beat.
It lost on pricing. I will anyday pay that extra and get Sony.
My previous Sony 32" full HD is 10 years old and is working perfectly - i watch TV a lot!
LG, my favorite , i am surprisingly with Hisense, nowadays almost every place i visit i find a Hisense TV more than any other brands
LG is the way to go
Toshiba TV is great.
Sony 🔥🔥🔥
LG is the best quality for sure ❤
A lot of us know that TCL lifespan is only 3 years. My 32in 2016, and 40in 2021 TCL televisions lasted only 3 years. The former died 2019 and latter 2024.
The 5-year-old Samsung TV in my room bought in December of 2019 is still as good as new upto this time.
Samsung takes long before it breaks while its Chinese counterparts have lifespan of 3 years only
Hangsung's lifespan is just 1 year😂😂
Sad to see some of the once top brands now been taken over by the brands from China.
LG have lost ground to Samsung due to their insistance of sticking with Oled, these panels have a finite life
and i see many on my repair bench with failed panels that should have lasted far longer.
To be fair to the brands from China they are getting better, but still use underated components and connectors
often burn out on Hisense models required new connectors and pcb's which not worth the expense on sets out of warranty.
Samsung sets i see plenty of, probably due to the high numbers that are sold.
The saying of "They don't make them like they used to" realy does apply to todays TV's
still use my good old 42 inch Emerson Plasma TV and it works great
