Nice little tour. My husband served 25 years in the USAF. His final assignment was at the Pentagon and he was at work the day the plane hit. We loved our military life and I'm proud of my husband. So, I appreciate hearing your stories of service. Thank you for serving our country.
Dear Stephen, Thank you for the tour of the Citadel. I am very glad for you and your family that your son made it home safely from his 8 month deployment on a carrier. I, like many others, love it when you call your wife; the ravishing Mrs. Ritter. How very sweet, respectful and loving ❤. ~Joanna♡ ... Ohio
I’m Regt Band Company 1984. Will be returning, this November for our 40th reunion. Ugh! Has it been that long? I can only say, that I wish my attitude had been better, while I was a Cadet. I held a lot of animosity toward the place….maybe it was the upperclassmen….or just the “System”. Sometimes I feel a little guilty for not really Earning my Ring, but I am very proud to have, at least endured and completed such a “Unique” educational experience. Thanks for the tour.
I can smell Summerall Chappel through the video. Thank you! And wow! Not sure I had seen the auditorium since the Magic show knob year, but instantly was taken back to that moment when you walked in there. I need to visit that room next time I’m on campus!
Wow. Thank you so much. Awesome. I was Living in Tybee Island at the time. I Love the Lowlands. I Appreciate your giving us the Tour. Loved the Presidents home, nice. James and Sybil Stockdale. Also lived in Coronado, Ca, by San Diego. He was a POW for Seven Years, endured Torture & more, in Vietnam War. His wife kept his memory alive so he could get rescued. She died in 2015 in Coronado. He died in 2005. A true Hero.
Thank you so much Stephen and also thank you to the ravishing Mrs Ritter for your brilliant driving. I had no idea the place was so big. It is really beautiful and the buildings are so wonderfully maintained. From the one that was built in the 40's to the new one they are so uniform. What a wonderful place of learning. Blessings to you and your family.
This was a wonderful tour, Col! I have a great love of the military! My dad and his 3 brothers and two brother-in-law, all served in WWII. My dad was in the South Pacific, but the rest were scattered around the world in battle zones! My dad also, worked and retired from Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. He was very proud of his service, both in the Army Air Corp and as a civilian! I have particular interest in the Citadel as well. One of my former students, who’s probably about your age, graduated from The Citadel! He was a stellar student!! Thank YOU for your proud service!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you for the tour. I have heard many positive comments about The Citadel Your Mother was very proud of you and Earnie attending there. We enjoy your thoughts, and certainly miss your Mom. Also, I would like to thank you for the last tour of your Mothers home in St Mathews. It sure brought tears to my eyes, of good memories of Phyllis, & Buckey.
Hi Steven, Here in Maryland ,we have the Naval Academy, which I live nearby. I have heard of the Cidadel but had never been nor knew much about it. So I thank you durning this pandemic for a virtual trip to the college. So interesting and really, really appreciate the tour. I enjoyed truly!
Wow!! Alma Mater; beautiful. What memories..thanks so much for sharing; history goes way back here. I really loved this tour!! 😊 Thanks for focus on the chapel.
I enjoyed the tour very much. My grandson just graduated from bootcamp at Lackland and in at his next training station. He loves the AF. We are very proud. His is a great Airman.
My brother was in the Navy for 20 years. He was stationed in Chareleston, SC. He was in Vietnam when the war ended there. He retired in 1985 and then came back home. He died with cancer in 2003 at the age of 56 years old. Thank you so much for sharing this. I have been to Charleston several times. Have a wonderful and blessed week.
My dad served under General Mark Clark in WWII in North Africa and the Mediterranean. Dad was Naval Special Forces. Terrible war. The experiences never left him. Dad was in Operation Husky, Anzio and many more. After that area was secured he then was deployed to Nagasaki just after the bomb was dropped. He made it home but died at 67 years of age from cancer from the ionizing radiation he was exposed to in Japan. Thanks for the tour even though it brought up some bad memories.
Thank you for the tour. Beautiful buildings & what a large campus! The chapel had gorgeous stained glass windows. I noticed some of the older trees had their roots above ground. No wonder you are proud to have gone there, you can tell it has alot of history within those facilities. Have a blessed day.🙏💜🙏
Thank you for the tour! My nephew graduated in 2015. We got to watch the long gray line on the parade feild. It was one of the most moving experiences I've ever witnessed. After graduation we jumped in our vehicles and headed to Paige's Okra Grill. Wonderful memories.💜
What a beautiful campus! So it's a military college. I thought that, but wasn't sure! That must've been hard and with all the unrest going on in the 90's, I would call that a dangerous job! Thank you for all you did for us in the USA, I do appreciate it! I'm so glad you made it back in one piece! That was nice of the Ravishing Mrs. Ritter to drive so you could concentrate on what you were doing! And you've got one in a million there Stephen because she didn't try to talk throughout your tour! She's ravishing in more than one way! 😀💕
I really loved some of the buildings. Looked like a really cool place to go to school and start a career. Sure had alot of trees lol. Hello RMR!!!!😁. Tyfs God bless you
What a lovely campus on a beautiful autumn day! I live in Jacksonville, Alabama, home of Jacksonville State University which also has a beautiful campus. Many of the beautiful, old buildings and total neighborhoods were destroyed by a tornado in 2018 so we have a lot of construction going on. Thank you for continuing the channel and thank you to Mrs. Ritter, as well!

My father was in the class of 43 AKA the missing class. He was shipped off to Europe and served as a first lieutenant. I was there last year with his ring (he passed in 1984)to donate it to the school but couldn't find anyone. I looked through all the yearbooks but couldn't find a picture of him. He never lost his love for the school and spoke often of it. I never got to go to the Citadel however I did get to serve overseas in South East Aisa. When I visited last year it brought up a lot of emotions knowing I had the honor of walking in some of the halls he walked.
Now, you need to go down memory lane sharing with us how you met the Ravishing Mrs. Ritter. How you became engaged, wedding pics and when your children were little. Phyllis and Bucky did theirs so you can, too.
