If they trade down, I prefer it to be for a 2nd round pick, so that means probably lower trade down than we like? Murphy has become my favorite or Verse. Not sure if those guys will be there if the bears get a second round pick in the trade, but it would be great if it works out that way.
The pick at #9 or trade back pick needs to be DT or Edge. Look at the other qb's in the division, besides Tez there is virtually no pass rush.

Love if they traded down and took one of the iols and an edge, one of the Robinsons. We’re good at wr and obviously can get them with future second round draft picks so. Caleb needs a line he can use to find his wrs and tes and swift definitely needs help to run. I’d use one of those wr values to extract enough cap to change my line and fill my roster. I’d even trade with Minnesota and give them a qb for the team we need this year
Imagine Caleb running around looking to throw to mhj even though his tes are always open but he’s running cause of an injury on ol or they just can’t hold up to the stellar defenses we face. Not too mention having dj and Keenan man, that would be an overload and waste of talent. I’d def sell mhj for my teams benefit so I definitely wouldn’t trade up for mhj and I doubt the bears will do that either lol that’s too silly. That’s like trading Caleb for Bo Nix lol ha uh no

Trade down, draft Murphy or Verse. Trade back up into the second round and get whoever they feel is the best day two WR. Use your last pick paired with a 2025 pick to move up again for one of the third-ish round guards.
This gets us the help needed to add to the pass rush (I actually like it from the interior with Murphy most), a legit WR3 that will allow Allen to play from the slot, and help on the interior of the o-line (needed more than a tackle).
No dumbo u don't draft a defensive player in this draft, this draft isn't that strong for defensive players like other drafts. Bears need another blue chip offensive player especially with Keenan being 32 and on a 1 year deal. Think before you comment stuff because you don't know too much about football
Legette is gone at the end of the first. Either Buffalo or KC are guaranteed to take him.
I am all in on Byron Murphy. He could be that disruptive 3 tech we need. Dexter could move to nose tackle.
They invested heavily into the DT position last year. Let’s see how Dexter Sr develops. If he’s not going to cut it, we can draft a DT next year or pick one up in free agency.
Right now, they have no one on the edge opposite Sweat.
I dont see the Bears giving up on Dexter that quickly after just one season, especially after drafting him in the 2nd round last year. They should go edge to help Sweat in the pass rush so they can't double team him.

There common trend right now in the NFL imo of firing coaches the minute they take a step back is a major over correction.
If the Bears offense for the most part was injury free this year and wasn't great id opt for keeping the coaches in place to fix their mistakes they've hopefully learned from.
P.S. I'm still not a fan of Eberfuls (or having a coach who wont constantly be there for Caleb to keep offensive continuity), but i would be be pissed off if they fired him next year for any reason. Primarily because if you were going to fire him, this was the offseason to do that.

Of all the scenarios, using the second 1st rounder to take Murphy is least appealing and makes the least sense. Right now there is a big hole at DE opposite Sweat. The Bears should continue to develop Dexter Sr and if he not to be the answer, draft a DT next year or pick one up in FA.
I finally watched Caleb's Pro Day and guys I'm a bit concerned, how do you know where your guys are going and still can't anticipate comeback route throws? How is there no defense out there and you can lead your receiver on throws so that he doesn't break stride? 🤔 Then watching other film he's holding the ball forever when he has guys wide open? Why is nobody talking about these things????

I think you over estimate how much "trouble" he would be/is in with regards to that pick. Poles missed. Every GM does. The decision was/ is logical it just hasn't worked. That's all.

MHJ the top player in the draft and Caleb Williams the 6th... would be good draft for the Bears. At this point in time, it would be the best-case scenario!
The Bears will not be in any Super Bowls as long as Poles and Eberflus are running the show. So, in Caleb's rookie contract it will be none... maybe 1 or 2 playoff appearances.
JC Latham at no.#9 would upset me... reminds me of Alex Leatherwood.

If the Bears are under 7 wins, then both Poles and Flus should be fired. They are two most accountable for the Bears record over the last 2 years. It's going to happen one or both will be fired next years after the Bears win 7-8 games. Poles didn't the break the cycle... his just taking his spin.
At 9.... the rating starts at 1. MHJ 2. Nabors 3. Odunze 4. Alt 5. Bowers or trade down for DE or Center.

AAron donald was falling in the draft. There was one pick left before the BEars. The LA rams and they had one of the best D-lines in the league. we were all watching. certain he was going to fall. LA stole him & i collapsed. Bears havent gotten a break since Devin HEster.

Playoffs?! PlayOffs?????!!!! Super Bowl in CB’s rookie contract?! Bears are still a few players away from being a few players away……and I don’t think CB is a top ten qb - I’ll add one caveat: the NFL would be more than happy to see a strong contender in Chicago - they’re greedy for those eyeballs, and there’s plenty in Chicago. The league may help to lift a solid Bears team to late playoff games. If you have to quote me anything, it’s that CB will be a bust. Nothing more than a few promising moments and brief hope. Remember, this is an organization that thought Rex Grossmqn and Cade McNown could get it done. And thought it worthwhile to move up in the draft for Mr. biscuits - I could go on; but, suffice it to say, caleb will be a bust. Keep dreamin’ bears fans.
