The Originals 5x06 and 5x07 proved to me once and for all that Niklaus Mikaelson always has and always will love Hayley Marshall. From the utter pain in his eyes at seeing Hayley die to his quiet confession at the tree while carving Hayley's name because he above all others knows how she'd truly wanted to be remembered, to his outburst at Marcel about Elijah getting Hayley killed. Fuck it tears me apart that Hayley is dead but seeing how much Nik loves Hayley is tragically beautiful.
This is a tribute to the best and most wonderfully complex relationship The Originals has ever done (besides Klaylope) and even though my editing skills need major improvement I'm lowkey proud of this.
