Securing pegs in hard ice may be a ‘god send’ - so long as you don’t get a sudden rapid thaw m like those guys in a Jannu in the Mourns! With strong wind and suddenly loose pegs their tent nearly blew away when the door suddenly opened in an extra strong gust. 😉
Great video Andrew. Good to see the Pretents Border in action. The Hubba Hubba looks pretty strong too, but as I’ve said before, I’m not fond of inner-pitch first tents for Scottish weather. That wee table 5:27 looks really useful too.
Peaceful camp by the looks of it. I thought it was a big no-no when ye lit the fire with a blizzard on the way. I hope the winds didnt pick up a few embers and put holes in yer tents
Another great video Andrew, I have a few torch’s from the past that take AA batteries much better in the cold than the rechargeable ones. Also the charcoal handwarmers are good to put in a bag with the NiMh gadgets

Hi Dave, I had no issues lying straight on the ice apart from slight cold when sitting on it only. Negligible diff from my Xtherm but for me the Light Tour is more comfy. A
