- Joe Petro from Zippkits gave me this tip...the angle of the curved turn fin, which acts as a hydrofoil if not perfectly level, has the most influence on the ride attitude. For this run, the only change I made to my setup was to adjust the turn fin a half of a degree positive, or looser...
Great advice about the turn fin, thanks a lot. Does positive mean pointing the front of the turn fin up? Got to try this on my Oxi Digger
@@adreigle Yes, angled up in the front
What esc are you running I just picked up my first Fe from zipkits after 40 years of nitro and gas it's just getting hard to find a place to run nitro /gas anymore I was gonna go with the flycolor at zip ? She is definitely edgy when it runs in your wake that rigger leaves a longer lasting wake then my 47 seaducers gaser by time you get back around the course interesting .
Yes, it's the Flycolor 150 amp ESC.
I agree on the getting edgy in its wake, but I'm pretty sure my laps are smaller than most laps I've watched on UA-cam.
That’s honestly awesome from a 1515 neu, what kv are you running on 6s ? If you get a chance to check into smc lipos, some of their drag packs have ridiculously high C ratings and though you probably aren’t drawing much in the way of current, the incredibly high C rating will help out a ton on voltage sag which means more rpm at the same current.
Thanks. It's a 2050kv motor...
Could it go the fastest in a straight line or is it built for oval
Without a doubt. But it's two completely different setups. Probably harder to tune for laps at these speeds.
It's got to be setup to run a bit wetter for turns, plus it's always scrubbing off some speed turning.
The other factor is wrecks. The setup for SAW runs are on the razor edge of a blow off. Then bad things usually happen... 🤨
👍
👊
this is making your motor money spend look so good
78 mph 6 s doing laps .
wow.
what are the full numbers on that prop ?🙏
@@jamesatkinson7517 Yeah, it's definitely laying down some good runs with the Neu motor.
It's an ABC prop, part #1817-17-45(2) CLL. I did the prep work. Sharpened, balanced and polished it...
@@chilly7261 Thanks mate
