Loved walking out of the park to this music/song. The perfect wind down song after a day in EPCOT. Future World in the morning/day, evening in the World Showcase with dinner in Japan finishing u just in time to catch the start of Illuminations. Brings backs good memories of family vacations.
I was there and wish I had been able to enjoy it. Too busy trying to rush from Canada to Refreshment Outpost to watch the barges go back one last time. EDIT: Just realized I commented under myself on my personal account. Whoops. 😂
I was there and witnessed history. I bursted into tears because this show has been around my entire life and to see it end just breaks my heart. But like what Walt Disney said, We must keep moving *Forward*
Itz_gray_ 2019 I was there too, Same reaction as you. When The final Time “Promise” Ended, I Cried and my friends were there. One of them asked “Why are you crying it’s just a Fireworks show.” When we all got back to the apartment, After I cleaned myself up(Showering) I came out and told them about the history to this great, Grand Fireworks show. I said “today for the first time you saw this and just saw how great that show was that ran for 20 Years but...” “But What?” “Today was their last showing, that’s why I wanted you guys to see it.” *RIP Illuminations: Reflections of earth* *We will Always go on, With another 1000 Circles Round the sun*
Viperdmk Viperdmk dang. I’m kinda mad that they ended it because in a few months, my HS music department is going on a trip to Disney and I’m just gonna feel sad the whole time knowing that mostly everyone in my group never or just didn’t care for the show or even saw it. But that’s just Disney. It’s a different experience for everyone.
I'm here today to observe the last performance of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. It was more than just a fireworks show, it was a whole framework, a whole wish for a better world. We go on. October 1, 1999 - September 30, 2019
😭❤️ my husband and I celebrated our first anniversary watching this show as well as many other times as it was our favorite thing at Epcot and memory from Disney altogether... I’m gonna miss it so much. 💎
I had passed to Disney from 1996 to 2007 and we would go to EPCOT every week for dinner and stay for this show this music puts me back to a great time with my family very happy times and great memories.
She was in attendance. Just in an event the public was not invited to. Check out. WDW and kellie coffey. It was an easy find. The sound quality is not the best but, Kellie sounded amazing!!
I saw this on the Last day, I cried. After the song ended, I thought “the original Epcot’s Just a Empty Shell now with Illuminations gone.” Rest In piece to the greatest fireworks Show in Disneyworld. *Illuminations, Reflections Of Earth.* *Opening: October 1, 1999* *Last performance: September 30, 2019*
Listening to this makes me so sad. It's almost like the lyrics are saying farewell to its memory in hindsight now. When this left Epcot, an era of Disney ended :(
I was there for the last show of illuminations. Was pretty happy that they opened the fast pass area to everyone on the last show. Got an amazing view of it. Was actually able to film the last show from the best centered spot. Was very glad to see it one last time from the best spot.
IllumiNations was my favorite firework show at Walt Disney World! I did two college program internships between 2014 and 2016 and it was the one I watched the most by a long shot. I continued this well into becoming part time and then full time at Disney, but I never once got tired of it. Then came the night of the final performance… I was on the second level of the building in the Japan pavilion like so many times before, it had become my personal favorite place to watch it. I remember talking to a couple who told me they had also seen it more times than they could count. All three of us knew watching it was going to hurt, but we stayed anyway. I personally told myself that I wouldn’t cry as the fireworks came to a conclusion and this song played. I managed to keep my composure…but just, and I can’t say the same for the aforementioned couple. There are not enough words in the all the languages of the countries that circle that lagoon to fully express how much I miss this show! I have both Promise and We Go On set to mix tapes that I play in my car from time to time, and they always make me emotional.
I went to Disney for my 21st. Some friends flew down and didn't want to see the fireworks bc they had em back home. I told them that that was their only chance to see it as Illuminations was ending that September. The first fireworks went off and they LOVED IT and said it was immediately better than back home lol
LYRICS- Every evening brings an ending Every day becomes a legacy Every sunset leads to morning With the promise of opportunity We can reach for the stars we find along the way Dreaming as we learn to love everyday Promise you will take my hand As tomorrow comes, we'll go on We'll go on growing closer through the years Moving on through the good times and the tears Ever on another thousand circles around the sun If two can be as one We'll go on There is music if you listen In the rhythm of each breath we take Destinations undiscovered Revolutions from every choice we make And I know there are diamonds dancing in the sky All we have to do is open our eyes Promise we'll walk side by side As a new day dawns we'll go on We'll go on growing closer through the years Moving on through the good times and the tears Ever on another thousand circles around the sun A new life has begun, the two of us as one We'll go on Moving on through the good times and the tears Ever on another thousand circles around the sun A new life has begun When two of us are one And we live to keep the promise We'll go on Ever on We'll go on /Epcot’s Illuminations will forever be my favorite show :’( /
I may not have liked it as much as you, but this song and "We Go On", and the beautiful voice of the singer Kellie Coffey is just majestic and mesmerizing!
This song had some magical power that always had me reaching for my credit card to book the next trip 😂 They have no idea what they lost when they put it on the shelf.
Are you a WDW local? I have several recommendations for things I would love to listen to all the time but I can never find. Are you interested in doing area loop tracks?

Andrew Brandenburg Same, Couldn’t. Stop. Crying!
Me too, this show was my first introduction to Epcot back in 2013 when I did the college program so my friends there have a special connection to it
I was there that final night. Weathering the rain. I hated to see it end.

Sad because that will go down as the best fireworks show/music Disney ever had!

I feel exactly what you are saying!
It would have been a nice touch if they had Kellie Coffey there in person to sing this song at the last Illuminations.

@@sandychampion216 I will look for it thanks.
@@KeepCalmContemplateYourChoices they did lots of things! they released all sorts of merchandise!
Honestly, I think this song would be perfect for a first dance at a wedding.
Hi! It was my husband and I's first dance song at our wedding. It was extremely special, especially now that Illuminations is gone.
I saw this on the Last day, I cried. After the song ended, I thought “the original Epcot’s Just a Empty Shell now with Illuminations gone.”

LYRICS-
Every evening brings an ending
Every day becomes a legacy
Every sunset leads to morning
With the promise of opportunity
We can reach for the stars we find along the way
Dreaming as we learn to love everyday
Promise you will take my hand
As tomorrow comes, we'll go on
We'll go on growing closer through the years
Moving on through the good times and the tears
Ever on another thousand circles around the sun
If two can be as one
We'll go on
There is music if you listen
In the rhythm of each breath we take
Destinations undiscovered
Revolutions from every choice we make
And I know there are diamonds dancing in the sky
All we have to do is open our eyes
Promise we'll walk side by side
As a new day dawns we'll go on
We'll go on growing closer through the years
Moving on through the good times and the tears
Ever on another thousand circles around the sun
A new life has begun, the two of us as one
We'll go on
Moving on through the good times and the tears
Ever on another thousand circles around the sun
A new life has begun
When two of us are one
And we live to keep the promise
We'll go on
Ever on
We'll go on

I love this song
Illuminations: Reflections of Earth is the best show ever on a Disney property.
Kelly also sang Disneyland Believe in Magic
If I would organize a concert, I'd have my group sing this song second before last
I love this song called Promise by Kelly Coffey.

Our wedding song on January 4, 2013. 👍😊

Who here thinks this song should be a Yamaha or Casio CTK Keyboard Demo song?
sometimes I sing this song like I wrote it.
