I’ve been trying to grow allamandas from seed for.2 years and I’ve had little success, however I have 2 allamanda bushes I can take cutting from. Thank you for your tutorial.
Thank you for the video. Liked your vlog and going to follow the method.. Kya mein leaves remove karke Pani mein daal sakti hun? Please revert.. koi root hormone Pani mein Dena hai? Ya koi fungicide use karna hai?
@Monti Dutta, Sure, good luck in trying it :-) Nursery people make lots of money from this plant. I still remember buying the Allamanda vine for Rs. 150. It's not a lot but bit high considering they are too easy to grow from cuttings :-)
Hi do they only grow in your country hot climate i don't no any thing about this plant it looks beautiful and different colours amazing thankyou for sharing
@Christine Bories, You are right...Allamanda needs warm climate and idea temperature is 18-27°C (65-80°F). It grows very well here in India and can tolerate quite hot temperature. Even in temperature like 104°F, it stands quite strong. In winter time, if temperature drops below 40°F (5°C), it would be ideal to keep them indoor. Thank you very much for watching the video and for your words, appreciate it :-) TC :-)
I have just found ur videos & found it very helpful. Recently I added alamonda flower in my compost bin but I dont know if it has a bad odor bcoz of the flower,as heard its a poisonous plant.Plz let me know
I purchased fullly grown allamanda in 10 inch pot a month back, kept it in sun and regularly watered. Temperature has been around 30-40 degree C but all the leaves have dried and plants seems to not reviving. Please help what should I do to revive it?
@Graham Thomas, As per my knowledge, they can be grown in England. However, in Winter, would need some protection from frost. You can bring them indoor. Thank you very much for watching the video :-)
@Adeniums by S.K.SHARMA, Yes Sir, I would do that very soon in a detailed video about Allamanda. It's in progress and would share soon. Anyway, they need less frequent fertilizer and less water. I have many varieties and would share all..thank you :-)
@@GardeningUpbeat Yes Mr Chandan please do. How many varieties and colour are there of Allamanda? I have ordered for the dwarf yellow Allamanda from Kolkata . Maybe after the lockdown I receive it, but they don't have more varieties. Will you please let me know the source to get the different varieties of it? I will be highly obliged.
@Adeniums by S.K.SHARMA, Yes Sir, I would :-) Actually waiting for some more blooms as I like to cover everything in a single video. From the color wise, I have seen only 2 varieties - Yellow and Purple and both I have. From structure wise, there are few like - DWARF, Allamanda Allamanda schottii, Variegated, Vine, Creeper and Purple or Tiger Allamanda. Most of the times, I collect them from Nurseries in my place (Unfortunately, they don't have online selling option)...but I can see in Nurserylive, 4 varieties are available. Thank you very much :-) One note - UA-cam really doesn't send any notification for nested comments. So, sometime it may look like I am not replying...but actually, I don't even come to know another comment has been places. So, if you don't get any reply to your comment (because I always try to respond each comments), plz add your reply as a new comment as then only I would get notification. Thank you :-)

Namaskar 🙏❤️ Very fresh look, cuttings grown with leaves, seen 1st time, normally have to remove 👍. I have one yellow Almanda wine in 10" pot, it's giving flowers ,not much. Can I now take some cuttings to grow like you? My regards 🌹🙏
@SN Tandon, Namaskar Sir :-) They are hardy and grow easily from cuttings. Didn't remove the leaves to avoid the milky sap as it's toxic. Definitely you can take cuttings from your plant and grow as many as you like, Good luck Sir :-)
About how long do the cuttings take to root in water? And when you added water, you said “filtered water.” Should I use tap water or RO (Reverse Osmosis) water? I was afraid the RO water wouldn’t be good as everything is removed from it- I know RO water can leach minerals.
@Arathy D Pillai, Allamanda is easy to grow and can be grown almost in all types of soil. But I prefer to do it like I do for many plants and it works well for almost all plants. Potting mix - 50% Normal Soil, Cocopeat or Sand - 25% and Vermicompost - 25%. Instead of Cocopeat, sand is better for Allamanda. Thank you :-)
Can i grow a plant from the seed pods that drop from the plant, they are brown, round and have spikes. If it is possible, can you please do a video. Thank you for your time.
@Trish Ross, Really sorry for the late response...I always try my best to reply within 48 hours or at least within 72 hours. Yeah, we can grow from the seeds but please be very careful as they are poisonous...Happy Gardening :-)
Please do some research 🙏 It's Allamanda n I already have video on Mandeville. Actually, both are almost same except growing habit n many people get confused with it 😐
Have you heard about Allamanda Schottii? Again, I would say, please do some research. There are many varieties of Allamanda, not just vine or creeper one 🙂
Thank you!! The best tutorial after seeing almost 5 videos from other channels. 👌🏻
