In this interview, Arshan goes to New York to meet up with Key Glock, an American rapper and songwriter from South Memphis, Tennessee. As a protégé to Young Dolph, Key Glock rose to fame in 2017 with his mixtape Glock Season, and is signed to Young Dolph's record label, Paper Route Empire. Glock grew up with no mother or father figure and spent his youth in the streets and participating in sports. He was very popular in his community, gaining a following as early as high school. In 2017, after singing to his cousin Young Dolph, he dropped his debut single “Racks Today” with rapper Jay Fizzle. Later that year, he released his debut mixtape, Glock Season. His collaborative album Bum and Bummer with Young Dolph is a classic project that reached number 8 on the Billboard 200. Other mixtapes include Yellow Tape, Song of a Gun, and Dum and Dummer 2 which has cartoon references to the 90s TV show, Beavis and Butthead. In January of 2022, Key Glock released the song “Proud” as a tribute to Young Dolph, who was tragically murdered in November 2021. Glock called Dolph "my lefthand man, my brother, my cousin, my mentor, and drank partner.” In this interview, Arshan and Key Glock discuss a wide range of topics including childhood shows (Drake & Josh, Boondocks), growing up in South Memphis, family life, coming up in the scene, his yellow aesthetic, Playboi Carti leak, favorite freestyle, Young Dolph's character, Dum and Dummer 3, the Memphis Grizzlies, and more.
