This warms my heart, knowing that there are people determined to make lives better for everyone.

*Breaking character* I had that moment two years ago. I didn’t want to pay my high school graduation book for 50$. It was too much for something that I would never look at again. Next day at noon, my classmates said they had something for me. Yes, they had all pitched in to buy me one. I didn’t care about the book. It was the gesture. Some of them for two years has always tried to bring me down. To make me quit school. And many of them were just stuck up people who didn’t want to be seen with me. So seeing them all pitching them to do something for me... I cried from happiness for LITERALLY the first time I can remember. I still have my graduation book, it reminds me that even though people try to bring you down, it’s because sometimes they don’t know other ways to make themselves feel better, they don’t actually hate you. The whole world is never against you.

Imagine if the news stations were to show things like this? The only reason people think everyone sucks is because we are told that 24 hours a day, every day, by the 5-6 news stations that make us think so.
I was saying this to my daughters yesterday. All their friends seem to have depression and a feeling of despair for the future. And they're terrified of the events in America. I told them that every generation has their terrible things to deal with but I think there was less depression because we didn't have news 24/7 or social media shoving the horror downs our throats incessantly so we had time to enjoy the beautiful things as well. We need to see the joy in life more than the despair.
The Sikhs as a people, are one of the few groups that you can say every one of them is a good loving, caring person, who truly care for their fellow man, the Sikhs are great people. there aren't a lot of groups that you can classify completely one way or the other and the Sikhs are just fantastic human beings

Have only received one $1200 stimulus check back in April, because conservatives suddenly care about the deficit. I was saying this to my daughters yesterday. All their friends seem to have depression and a feeling of despair for the future. And they're terrified of the events in America. I told them that every generation has their terrible things to deal with but I think there was less depression because we didn't have news 24/7 or social media shoving the horror downs our throats incessantly so we had time to enjoy the beautiful things as well. We need to see the joy in life more than the despair.

The Sikhs as a people, are one of the few groups that you can say every one of them is a good loving, caring person, who truly care for their fellow man, the Sikhs are great people.

Same thing here in the US, people starting GoFundMe pages, so they don't go bankrupt after a simple hospital visit(even with insurance, I still owe almost $75,000 from a surgery 8 years ago), food banks have been tasked with keeping people fed for decades now, because the government thinks helping citizens put food on their table was too much like "socialism". Have only received one $1200 stimulus check back in April, because conservatives suddenly care about the deficit. Hopefully now that Democrats are in control, a few things might get done, but I won't hold my breath. Here's to a better 2021, and good luck to you, and your family, my friend.
