I really like this idea I've been looking for a long time for a sling for my 10/22 which I just tricked out with an ati strikefoce system. I've been doing parecord for a while but I never thought of doing this this way. My only concern is that with the double weave on the inside unattached, eventually they will cross and the whole thing will become loose. I think I found a solution, what I'm going to try when I make mine is at about 5 inch intervals I'm going to try and sew with nylon thread the two halves together in the middle. This should prevent them from crossing over. What do you think of my idea?

Nice. I like the idea of the triple weave. And it looks good. Just one thing I would probably do different. It seems like it will be a little flimsy cause the two inside "green" weaves are actually two seperate weaves. There is I believe a double cobra which the two cobra weaves are weaved as one. I think that will make for a stronger sling altogether. I've done a few of the doubles myself. I will try adding that extra cobra over it to make a triple thanks for the video.
Do you think it would be possible to make this but with only one cobra weave in the middle rather than two? I'm trying to save time, money, and keep the sling size down.
Dude. This is an instructional video? You’re assuming people already know what they’re doing here....so what’s the point? Like, at around 4:30 where the second step of the weave comes in, not only do you block the step with your fat fingers, you fast-forward through it. Hint: next time you wanna make a how-to video SHOW PEOPLE HOW TO.
Made one for my Winchester SXP Defender in black and red cord looks amazing matches the black and red on the gun and is waaaay more stronger than store bought slings. Would be nice to get it to hold shells which I'm working on a idea :)
Juan Carlos Valdez cool!Let me know what you come up with for the shell holder, I've been playing with some ideas too. I'm not happy with any of them yet. I will keep trying.
jench78 I'm not sure what you mean by pre shrink, I know I had 6 or 7 feet of cord left for each inner core. so if it shrinks more than that they you will probably be short.
gearsNtools I just mean, to keep the sling from shrinking after I make it, should I shrink all the paracord before hand? In the video, it looks like you didn't have much extra for your two cores, but if it was really 6 or 7 feet, I am sure it would be enough. thanks for the quick reply!
exact measurements were provided in the descriptions for your refference. To make this sling you need: +Two 1" wide sling mounts +About 180 total feet of paracord, consisting of ++100 feet of the inside color (two 50 foot strands) ++80 feet for the outside color. (I use 100 then trim the extra after weaving) Cheers
Awesome I’m a make a couple of these thank you for the video
good job.I'm going to make one.Thank you!
I want to do this but a little longer, with the 50’ pieces you used what is the longest I can go without being short. I’m making a lunch box strap
Should have done the normal double cobra weave an then do the black over top. Less chance of twisting.
+jr o I agree that would have been better, but it would make it a little narrower, take more time. but it would make a more robust sling.

robledo09 it's called a double wide Solomon
Going to make one for my Henry carbine. Can't wait.
Thanks for making this video. I plan on making a couple of these for my weapons in the near future.

+Dakota Ray did you try it with only one cobra weave? I'm going to start one tomorrow but with only with one wondering if anyone else has tried it.
+SlyBoogie 101 I did end up using a single cobra weave. It works fine for me. It's just not as wide but still plenty strong.
+Dakota Ray thanks!
those two double cobras inside. .. are they tend to twist or they always stay flat?
there are ways off making the two cobras inside be interwoven so you'll be sure they stay flat.
Dude. The fact that you started the 3rd weave AFTER you messed up and didn’t show us how to begin the integration DOES NOT show ANYONE “how to.”
Now make a swivelless one i dont have swivels
Thanks for showing the finished product first. Now I know I want to watch the rest of the vid.
thanks! hope you make one and it turns out well!
What is the diameter or the paracord
Great video! Gonna make a sling real soon!

Thanks for explaining nothing.
You must be dumb as a plant.
good video and idea. thanks made one my self easy to do.
Glad you enjoyed it! this is one of my favorites.

Can you do a video on the different types of leatherman sheathes?
How do you make it adjustable !
Is that the same as a 48 " 2x4 "

I haven't had a chance to mess with it yet. Oilfield work kicks ur a** but I will let you know what I come up with !
could probally make some modified lighter cases and weave them to the outter black
hey if I pre-shrink the two 50ft sections for the inside, will the sling end up too short?

I didn't shrink the paracord before hand. it probably relaxes less than 1/2 inches when I pull it off the with this weave.
Clear and Concise video demonstration. Well done!
Doug Atkins Thanks for the support! this video took ma a lot of takes to make, glad it paid off.
what brand paracord is that?
+Easton Enge the cheapest brand I cold find on amazon.com
How do I tell what swivel fits my gun?
Dude. Tell me where in this video you give a length for the 3rd string. Not approximate, but a length. This is the worst how to video on youtube.
