Michael Sheen perfectly sells that Aziraphale has never used the word "fuck" before, but there's just no other way to put it.
Just like when Alastor said fuck you to Lucifer.
It's speaks volumes of his acting especially when you know that man can sometimes swear like a sailor 😂
I was taught not swear when growing up, not because it was wrong, but to make sure that when I did have a reason to swear it would have a bigger impact on everyone around me.
I still laugh at this!
My friend was like, "Wow, I didn't even know he knew that word!" and I was like, "He hangs out with Crowley, of course he knows that word!"
When aziraphale gets all sad about the "loose the gut" line, it's not because he was being "body" shamed per se, but because the angels and demons CHOOSE their corporeal form, and Azi CHOSE to be huggable and pleasant because thats how HE SEES HIMSELF!! HES SOFT AND SWEET LIKE THE DESSERTS HE CHERISHES SO MUCH
True. And with choosing that he's not fulfilling Heaven's expectations of how a Principality like him (a leader among warrior-protector angels) should be: among other things, a *shreded* killing machine. Unluckily for them, Aziraphale is too much of an hedonist to care.
@@ilunaker1032 precisely, he may have authority in his position amongst the angels, but he couldn't care less about any of it because sushi and crepes are way more important anyway.
STAWWWPPP THIS MAKES ME LOVE AZIRAPHALE EVEN MOREEEEE 😭 HE’S AS SWEET AS THE CREPES HE LOVES SO MUCH
Hm, I don't know, there's a situation near the end of the book that makes me think he doesn't have complete control over the body he was issued, but I don't want to spoil anything here^^
@@LadyArsenica1 oh man, I haven't gone through the whole book in so long I don't remember it as well. It's just easier for my schedule to throw on the tv series on in the background while I do whatever I'm doin. Thank you for reminding me to reread that :)
Fun fact : at the end of the Gavotte, there's a kiss. Makes you wonder why the first angel to ever dance would want to learn that particular one, doesn't it?
Yeah and it is said he would practice this dance in a club of gentlemen, which I think might be code for old timey gay club
@@namdraws definitely 😁
@@namdrawsFans even asked which club the line alluded to and Gaiman named a know gay club
@@franziskasanders3943 he he. Gayman.
not just any old timey gay club, it was the 100 Guineas Club@@namdraws
"He" is a good pronoun to use for Aziraphale and Crowley because in the original source (the 1990 novel) the authors use "he/him" for them consistently and the characters always use those pronouns for themselves and each other.
Yeah! Both of them present in the masculine and use masculine pronouns for themselves. They might be sexless but they're not necessarily genderless.
*almost always
When Crowley presents as Nanny Ashtoreth, she goes by she/her. I assume it's the same if/when either of them present feminine
Crowley is definitely more gender fluid over time.
@kanti1356 Hard agree! I like the look of femme!Aziraphale, but he's such a creature of habit. I think of him as someone who climbed into his corporation, went "Oh I like this one", and just stuck with it. Especially considering he likes his clothes tailored, he has a social circle, etc., it's just always made sense to me that he'd be the one to be less fluid, gender-wise (compared to Crowley, who is always changing with what's fashionable with the times and what he likes and who mainly seems to keep to himself). I've seen people get upset over that headcanon, like we're calling Aziraphale less non-binary, but I just think he likes how he presents himself and is less inclined to change it up. You know?
@@kanti1356 (sorry, I just realized that was a really long response to one sentence lmaooo)
1:32 The good omens fandom is actually so nice and not at all toxic theres no real shipping wars and we all agree on headcannons
Neil said it feels like love. That the Good Omens fandom is love.
It feels like you get out what you put in. Terry Pratchett and Neil created this with so much love and this is the end result ❤️😍
Making people get emotional over books burning was Neil Gaiman's plan all along
XD
The reason that azairafale said “I know who you are you idiot, I called you” is because he had never heard crowlys answering machine before because Crowley always answers his calls immediately
I felt so emotional when I realized that on one of my many rewatches 😭
Like, Crowley had to be literally in active danger and about to be discorporated/killed by another demon for him not to answer one of Aziraphale's calls, and nothing less 😭😭😭😭
@@NankitaBR YESSSS
I can now see Crowley booking it to the phone from the other side of his apartment just to pick up for aziraphale and if it's not him, he gets so pissy
what kills me about the "lets run away together" scene is that "i wont even think about you!!" is such a breakup line 😂
Death is a regular character in the novels of the late Terry Pratchett, this one and the Discworld series. His voice is impressive, in fact he always speaks in capitals, like this: COWER, BRIEF MORTALS, FOR I AM DEATH, THE ULTIMATE VANQUISHER; AND THIS IS MY HORSE, BINKY, because yeah, that’s the name of his horse. I miss Pratchett so, so much.
I always liked THERE IS NO JUSTICE. THERE'S JUST ME.
WHAT CAN THE HARVEST HOPE FOR, IF NOT FOR THE CARE OF THE REAPER MAN?
HUMAN BEINGS MAKE LIFE SO INTERESTING. DO YOU KNOW, THAT IN A UNIVERSE SO FULL OF WONDERS, THEY HAVE MANAGED TO INVENT BOREDOM.
YOU NEED TO BELIEVE IN THINGS THAT AREN’T TRUE. HOW ELSE CAN THEY BECOME?
also GNU Sir Terry Pratchett
"The answer is B, Elvis died in--"
I DON'T CARE WHAT THE MACHINE SAYS; I NEVER TOUCHED HIM!
Another perhaps unexpected but wonderful thing to find space and nourishment in this fandom/ship is body positivity, because ABSOLUTELY NO ONE CAN SAY A WORD AGAINST OUR SOFT ANGEL. See the uncountable works of art and fic not only celebrating and adoring Aziraphale just as he is, but making it quite clear that cool, slim, stylish Crowley finds him irresistible.
Not only that, but people will get honestly upset if the artist portrays Aziriphale as slender. Let me recommend the artist gleafer. Loving, adoring, and then complete and explicit sexy time. Not only in their male forms, but as lesbians and also usually Crowley presenting female with male Aziriphale. There are also some continuing stories.
I read a body positivity fic between Az and Crowley and it was so sweet I was in tears. It’s one of my favorite themes I’m seeing in season 1 fanfics 💜
Oh oh, fun fact, in the scene in the movie theater if you look you can see someone asleep/passed out in a seat a few rows ahead. That's Neil Gaiman!
Also Terry Pratchett's hat and scarf can be seen in Aziraphale's bookshop.
Pratchett so deserved a longer life...
I cried when I saw that hat and scarf in a front row seat of the premiere.
8:43 It always makes me laugh that the story had Pestilence be retired from the Four Horseman and then the pandemic happened a year after the show aired.
Sounds like someone got real petty about not being included in a major production featuring the Four Horsemen
Just reminding us that he's retired, not dead
Aziraphale saying "fuck" was almost as shocking as Alastor saying it 😂
LITERALLY
The witch-lady's name is said Ann-ATH-uh-muh. It's actually a word that means "something that is intensely hated." As in "He hated vegetables, so spinach was anathema to him."
Yes, and interestingly, it originally meant to be dedicated or devoted to something, so it has a positive meaning and a negative meaning.
"one that is cursed by ecclesiastical authority" she's a witch
Yeah.. and I had only read it in the book before so I had NO idea how you were supposed to pronounce it..
In my head it was ana-THEME-uh.. so fair.. these names are all a bit wonky 😂
it can also mean something set aside as an offering or sacrifice, like Anathema was given the duty of devoting her life to stopping Armageddon
Yessssss, Morgan is a part of the ineffable husbands shippers! We gather at Wednesdays to eat cookies and cry. Can't wait for you to watch the next episodes! Love this show so muuuuch
And we will continue to gather to eat cookies and cry every Wednesday at least until the next season comes out, maybe even after that
Wait and see
Okay so to answer your question the nipple thing is part of a real world text on how to identify witches. It's called the "Malleus Maleficarum" and was penned by the German Catholic clergyman Heinrich Kramer, first published in 1486.
Channels here on UA-cam bring it up a LOT if they end up covering historical accounts of witches and their trials.
I came here to say that, but you were faster than me 😂
The portrait hiding the safe is a copy of Leonardo da Vinci's most famous painting, the Mona Lisa, rather than a picture of Mary.
There's a deleted scene where Crowley is talking with Leonardo Da Vinci so that makes sense
probably one of Leonardo's original sketches that he made before he started the painting.
The original book states that angels and demons are sexless unless they consciously make an effort (fun fact: because of that line "effort" is a common euphemism for genitals in this fandom XD). Both Aziraphale and Crowley seem to use "he/him" but only Aziraphale is consistently male-presenting.
It is still unknown why Crowley fell but I'm pretty sure we should be careful just believing his version of the story ;)
Yeah, that's why in the book when Crowley becomes a nanny he literally turns into a woman and why he has to clarify that he didn't " *deliver* , deliver" the baby antichrist, he just handed it over (because he could technically turn into a woman and deliver a baby)
I think the 'sauntered vaguely downwards' line expresses the emotional truth we need to know, even if it doesn't give the exact details of how and why - Crowley became a demon because his path went away from that of the angels, and that was the only category that fit him back then. As humans grow, and his experiences grow, he becomes less and less of a demon and a unique being of his own, alongside Aziraphale who is on a similar parallel journey.
12:49 The reason that Shadwell is focused on the number of nipples people have is because an old belief stated that a witch manifested a "witch's mark" on their body where the devil(or a demonic familiar assigned to the witch by the devil) would draw nourishment as part of the demonic contract that gave the witch powers. Sometimes it was an unusually large or unusually-shaped mole or birthmark; sometimes it was an actual extra nipple that some people are born with irl. The "mark" was also supposed to not feel pain, so the pin Shadwell mentions was used to prick the suspected witch all over and if any place didn't produce the expected pain response, that place might be considered the "witch's mark".
I loved Pollution in the book, and the tv adaptation did such a good job of showing their uncannyness -- favourite horseperson of the apocalypse, right there
I like how you use horseperson instead of horsegirl, because the later sounds too country 🤠🐎
@@andres_david25 I used Horseperson because that's how the four of them are referred to as in Good Omens. (also because Pollution is nonbinary in the TV version, and I'm not about to misgender them)
@@inkblotDoll wait, they are nb? I didn't know that. Good for them 🤠🐎
@@andres_david25 The actress mentioned in an interview how she was shocked to be offered the part since she's a Filipino woman and in the book, Pollution is said to be a blue eyed man but Neil told her the character is non-binary and non-human so not to be fussed.
technically he's not actually killing the demons, he's discorporating them, basically destroying their earthly vessels. They just get yeeted back to hell and have to wait for a new body to be made/assigned to them. So they're fine just, inconvenienced for a bit.
Edit: since I made the mistake of not clarifying, I was talking about what Hastur was doing, not Crowley. I know Crowly was killing them with holy water.
Uhh... unless holy water. It basically erases them from existence. Which is why Crowley used it; no point if it only minorly inconveniences someone.
Holy water not only discorporates a demon, it kills them outright which is why Aziraphael was so worried about Crowley getting a hold of it.
@michaelcheng9987 I suppose I should clarify I was talking about what Hastur was doing out in the desert.
She commented that he was killing all the demons. He was not.
@@armie4172 I was referring to Hastur here, not Crowley.
An unfortunate disposable demon. I luff themand their bunny ears
Wouldn't want to be anywhere near him, but I do love how unhinged Hastur is 😂
“Is this a kink?”
Best Morgan quote ever
"And I heard, as it were, the noise of thunder
One of the four beasts saying,
'Come and see.' and I saw, and behold a white horse"
This episode is a *goldmine* for fans like you and I, lol. Plus, there's truly no way to describe how illegal that cliffhanger is without watching it yourself.
Get ready. The next episodes somehow go EVEN FURTHER off the rails. I'm super excited to see your reactions to those!
So Metatron is the "voice of god" or "the word of god", the high angel that basically talk with the authority of god, but in short and simple way you can say the Metatron is god secretary
I love the reason given in the movie Dogma for Metatron being the 'Voice Of God': Human's do not have the physical capacity to withstand the power of God's Voice and the sound of it causes their brains to explode and to quote the Metatron "We went through five Adams before we figured that one out"
@@kevinsizemore2053 OMG yesss, I love Dogma!!!
I'm loving your reactions! I appreciate how into shipping you've gotten with Crowley & Aziraphale--they're so sweet together.
The manuscript that the candle sets on fire at the end is the screenplay for The Sound of Music.
Galifray is one of the planets that is floating around Crowley when he's looking for somewhere to escape too, which is the home of the Time Lords from Dr Who that Tennant played the lead role in for a while.
Another Dr Who easter egg is the guy who tells Aziraphale 'youre better off without him' is an actor who played a fan favourite character in Dr Who called Strax
You've got to admit David Tennant has range: The Doctor was an ancient being, not of this world, who travels in an obsolete supernatural vehicle, runs around saving the universe by talking to people and performing minor miracles, sees no difference between kings and cashiers, and is rubbish without his companion.
But Crowley _saunters_ around. Completely different walk. It's uncanny.
(In Tenant's last episode as the 10th Doctor, the Doctor complained about "a new man sauntering away". That man was Crowley, stealing his actor.)
OMG, IT'S STRAX??? Watched so many times and I never knew!
The demon Michael the archangel is talking to on the phone is named Ligur. Pronounced Lie-ger.
The Good Omens fandom has bonded through our shared trauma 😢
"The theme that got left in the car" is in my playlist. (Each episode ends with a different rendition of the theme and that was episode 1.)
The joke from the book is that any musical recording left in Crowley's Bentley long enough slowly morphs into "The best of Queen", and along the way you get Bach cantatas wailing away on electric guitar and so on.
When Aziraphale looked at the Velvet Underground CD in the Bentley I was like, "Oh, I guess Crowley's not had that CD long, it hasn't turned into Queen yet."
That is how we ended up binging the hell out of both seasons! We were so invested and needed answers!
Thanks for your reactions.
Fans of the show tend to be people with a good sense of humor and we appreciate someone discovering it for the first time. This series is based on a short novel written by Neil Gaiman and the late Terry Pratchett (two fantasy and storyteller geniuses).
I hope one day you have The Sandmand (Neil Gaiman's masterpiece) on your list of things to react to. There are 11 incredible chapters of urban fantasy.
Greetings from Spain
I really love how much YOU love Aziraphale!
He’s 6000 years older than me, but my brain still registers him as my baby lol
I'm so glad the fandom has been good to you so far! I've been loving these reactions, I can't wait for the next one!
Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman both focused on the love of people when they made Good Omens, so I find a lot of us fans try hard to be the same. Welcome! We're really glad you're having a great time.
You're noticing something really vital about both authors' literary ideologies, especially Pratchett. He was *super* aware of every rotten, horrible thing people did in the world, but also believed that individuals could do the right thing in the right ways. Very much "Sure, people choose to do the wrong thing most of the time, but isn't it amazing when they choose to do the RIGHT one?"
I REALLY recommend the Hogfather miniseries for you if the commentary in Good Omens is something you like.
Newton's 3-wheeled car is a Reliant Robin (hence "Robin's blue chariot")
"Telly" is British slang for television
the idea that hell is overpopulated here too and in dire need of more repairs and space is so cool
Heaven won, so they got the nice office space, Hell got the dingy, dirty basement.
Welcome to the works of Neil Gaiman and especially Sir Terry Pratchett (mayherestinpeace). They are ridiculous, funny and ridiculously funny, and then they sucker punch you right in the feels.
So excited! I've been watching for your next Good Omens upload. Just found your channel through it because I watch literally every Good Omens reaction I can get my hands on. Enjoy!
Same.
I do too. I've never been into reaction videos before I discovered Good Omens last year.
A great episode. The next two are my favourite and yes we watched the last three back to back- it really gets you invested. On a personal note, when the series started I was all for team dark broody Crowley.. but as the series progressed I realised that actually I’m only projecting onto Crowley -and it was our little soft marshmallow Aziraphale who absolutely stole my heart.
Listen. When I read this book in the dark ages, (1996? 97?) it had a DISTINCT Terry Pratchett feel. The bookshop had me on edge and actively agitated. When I watched the next episode and I tell you I WEPT, went back to the book, reread the source material and it was shot by shot nearly word for word, but the VIBES.
Someone hurt Neil Gaiman and he turned around and hurt us.
He is Not. Even. Sorry.
Glad to see the fandom's treating you well, we're rather well known as an inclusive and friendly bunch :) Good Omens is a perfect blend of Terry Pratchett's and Neil Gaiman's styles and I'm pretty sure most fans of one are also fans of the other.
Something that was pointed out to me by my other mother when she watched the show was that Azirephale, the "good" angel, is shown going along with whatever horrible things his side says to do even if he's unhappy about it while Crowley, the "bad" angel, is the one who keeps saying "hey, this isn't right" and standing up for the humans
"Shown going along with whatever horrible things his side says to do...." What? I have to disagree. In the first week of Creation, Aziraphale gave away a flaming sword to the humans and then risked lying about it to God, who could have made him Fall, just to protect them. He spends episode after episode in season 1 trying to get the apocalypse called off to save humanity, and, while he makes a few mistakes in season 2, he spends most of it humans like Job's children and Maggie (forgiving the rent) and, again, preventing another destructive celestial war.
Ahhh I've been really enjoying your good omens reactions so I zoomed straight here when I saw this upload!
I am so invested in your reactions! But I do hope you won't see or hear any spoilers, especially when you mention certain things that MIGHT come up later! Keep it all coming - you will find this is, indeed, a great and welcoming fandom, and we can't wait for you to discover all that G.O. has to offer!
I get so excited when I see you upload! Hope the world is treating you well ^~^
The reason the Witchfinder Sergeant is obsessed with how many nipples someone has is because one of the many signs that someone is a witch--according to witchfinders--is that they posess the so-called "mark of the beast." This can be a mole or an extra nipple. If you poke it with a needle and they feel no pain, then they're a witch.
So basically signs of skin cancer were a sign of witchcraft. Got it.
I just want to tell you that I really appreciate that you exist.
Are you unfamiliar with Atlantis? I apologize if this is unnecessary, but Atlantis was initially a fictional Island told about by Plato in the times of ancient Greece. Atlantis was an arrogant nation with a massive navy, but after they failed to conquer Athens, they lost favor with the gods and the island was sunk beneath the sea. The legend of Atlantis has popped up in numerous places throughout literature, even in DC Comic books (as Atlantis is where Aquaman is king) not to mention a really great song by Donovan! :)
I’ve heard like the name, but didnt know any of its story. Thanks for explaining it :)
So glad you are enjoying this! A couple things to expand:
- Heaven as such doesn't have a direct line with Hell (just look at Gabriel's confused face when talking about 'back channels'), *Michael* does. And as far as we know, she's the only one. Ligur is one of her contacts down there but not the only one.
Personally, I find Michael one of the most interesting characters in the show by far (and the most underrated one). She not only very clearly has her own agenda, but when you pay attention to her she acts in a very different way from the all the rest of the angels we meet. She's probably the wildest card of all the characters in the series, and I'm *eager* to see her in S3!
- Crowley's fall is still a mistery. But a thing most people don't know/forget is that Neil Gaiman himself has said that Crowley is an unreliable narrator when talking about this issue.
- Now that he's coming into his power as AntiChrist, Adam's will is absolute: what he wants/believes/dreams, comes true.
Last episode I legit did a drinking game with a bottle of water for every time they mispronounced Aziraphales name and i actually did end up drinking the entire bottle. xD Jokes Aside I am living for these reactions.
I love that youre lisining to playlists of aziracrow
I have a question, how many queen songs youve already lisen on those?
The good omens fandom is the number 1 fan of queen lmao
So many Queen songs. I cant even keep track of how many I’ve been listening to lately. I associate Queen with this show now and since I’m hyperfixated they’re playing all the time lol
So the nipple thing is because it was believed that one way you could identify a witch is that they would have an extra nipple that they would suckle the devil (or their demonic/fae familiar, depending on time/region) at.
I love how much stuff is in the prophecies:
Newt's car is called a Reliant Robin, hence the Robin's blue chariot
Aching his head for willow fine - the bark of the willow tree has a chemical compound similar to aspirin, cause he got hurt in the car crash and needed painkillers 😁
And another fun fact is that in the book Pestilence retired after the discovery of penicillin, iirc 😁
I can never get over how indignant Aziraphale gets when Shadwell says he's been seducing women 🤣🤣🤣 And then that Fuck is just the most perfect delivery 🤣🤣🤣
I always love when someone is so enthusiastic about a show I love so much, can't wait to see your reactions to the rest of Good omens 😊
Welcome to the fandom! Try to avoid spoilers (though I know it's hard), it'll make everything more fun! I love how much you care about our baby bois!!
2:22
In German she says "Exterminate". 😂
Really? I dont remember. how funny xd
She says it in English on the one i saw.
I always found that so funny 😂
No, Brian says it, it's just cut out here.
I love the trick Crowley pulls on Hastur. It so reminds me of the 10th Doctor. (In case you're unaware, David Tennant as the 10th Doctor is one of the best and most popular Doctors in Doctor Who.) He also pulls another similar tactic in season 2. Well, a different one, but it was very Doctor-y in my opinion.
The Metatron is an angel that in legend acts as the voice of God--because for humans to hear God's voice directly would hurt them as it's supposedly too powerful for human ears to stand. So in this episode Aziraphale's basically talking to God's PR guy.
Absolutely loving your reactions and how invested you're getting! I feel like with how much you are shipping Azraphale and Crowley, you would really enjoy Our Flag Means Death. I would LOVE to see you react to that!
“I forgive you” i really hate that word 😢
the nipple thing is that it used to be believed that witches have an extra nipple ... I have no idea where that came from, but that was a standard of witchfinders back in the bad old days.
I love the fact that Aziraphale always chooses to to dig his heels in and *protect* humanity because that was his very first job. He guarded the first humans both in the Garden of Eden and then gifted them an extension of himself to protect them once they were exiled. He knows that humanity is the priority, and that faithful stubbornness such a great aspect of his character.
You made my day.
Welcome to the Good Omens fandom! Where we all love to congregate around the new folks and watch their emotional rollercoaster of watching this "comedy".
I lost it at: 'Rome?!'
I am love love loving your reaction - you are so fun to watch. Been waiting for you to update!
32:53 This reaction is everything! Aziraphale swearing for the first time outside of “Hell” and “Damn” is hilarious
Hi, I just started following you on UA-cam and I really love your reactions. I binged your reactions to Hazbin hotel and helluva boss and really enjoyed watching them. I also love how much you love the Az and Crowley ship and definitely can’t wait for your season 2 reaction. I do want to say that I love your shirt in this video of the look my way stolitz shirt. I just joined the Hazbin hotel/helluva boss fandom and I am a total stolitz and huskerdust shipper. I love the emotion you put into this and how real you are on these reactions. I am wondering where you get your helluva boss/Hazbin hotel merchandise because it’s all adorable. Hope everything has been going well and can’t wait for your next reaction!
Hello! Thank you so much for enjoying my content and your nice comment. Most of my Hazbin/ Helluva Boss merch I get either off the sharkrobot website or from artists off etsy. Theres a lot of cool merch you can find from fan artists in these fandoms
2:38 More like his dreams come true or anything he imagines or REALLY believes in
In the witch hunts, accused witches could be strip searched and checked for a third nipple. A skin tag (something we would have removed by a dermatologist and biopsied now) would count as a third nipple.
if this is your feels to season 1 then you are so not ready for season 2. prepared tissues and something to hug and a little tea bud!
The book this is based on was jointly written by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. Terry sadly passed years before the show was made, but if you're familiar with his style you can definitely see his contributions to this story
I'm convinced the Tibetan tunnels joke was one of his, it feels like something right out of the Discworld books
24:10 hope the “Mary” with the quotes means you realized that is the Mona Lisa lol
Yup 🤣
God I hope you watch the second season right after this one. I'm so hyped for your reaction to this :D
12:50 witches have 3, or oodles and oodles if you ask crowley.
I feel your frustration with Heaven wanting a war so bad. You're going to be even more pissed later on as to why and the outcome.
im really enjoying watching you react to a show i love so much... i think youll really enjoy season 2.
The Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman fandoms are famously welcoming. So yeah I'm glad that you're experiencing that side of things. And yeah in the original books they use he/him pronouns but also point out that angels don't have genders.
OH MY GOD! I LOVE the way you have been pulled into the fandom and shipping Crowley and Aziraphale. ❤
Btw, whereas other fandoms can be nasty and catty, this fandom is absolutely sweet, just like Aziraphale! Really lovely and supportive to each other, you're going to love it! ❤
Oh and welcome to the mad house! Your every waking thought will be consumed by these two idiots, you will see things that remind you of them EVERYWHERE and every song (especially Queen and Hozier) will remind you of them!
I subscribed to your channel because I am loving your reactions to Good Omens.
I highly recommend reacting to Our Flag Means Death if you haven’t seen it already. Since you’re liking Good Omens, you’ll like OFMD as well. The episodes are shorter, and there’s sadly only two season.
May I recomend a song made as promotional material, Brand New Baby Smell , funny and catchy as Hell
Does anyone else here think Morgan might enjoy the Discworld novels? I'm not sure if they'd be as big into reading but I thought some of the live-action Discworld series could be a good introduction.
Your little exasperated noises are so adorable 🤣
Death has always felt especially cosmic in Terry Pratchett’s work. Diskworld is still the best but I do love how the intro for the GO version has that starry effect. It’s just so cool
"Is this a kink??" Unfortunately, no. Its a shoutout to how "witches" were found back in witchtrials. An extra nipple was seen as a sign of the devil, to "feed their familiars" as they put it. 😅
The novel "Good omens" was a co-authorship. Neil Gaiman wrote it together with brilliant satirist and humanist Terry Pratchett. I reccomend you look into Pratchett.
I love your videos so much!
23:30 thats kinda the point Morgan, hes an angel 😂
One thing I noticed while watching it was, the angels in heaven, they all wear white but they all wear different shades of white. Michael and Gabriel wear cooler tones of white whereas Aziriphale almost always wears warmer tones. I don't know if it means anything but i just thought it was interesting
Everything is deliberate.
Ha, Morgan, I got the same Look My Way shirt you're wearing in this. And yes, this episode really is A LOT to deal with!
I good way to remember how to pronounce Aziraphail, is to to remember Zira. If you can remember that part, then all you have to remember after that is A-zira-phail.
I'm so glad the fandom is being kind to you!
dont worry friend, we all get emotional over books burning.
The tone of 'they wanna have a war' hits my heart in a very specific way 😂
First of all, Hi! How are you doing? Thank you so much for reacting to this show, you have such a nice vibe and I’ve love you since ep 1.
I really hope you would react to season 2 after this. BTW, I don’t know if other have already commented but in the scene of the cinema, when Hastur appears as the rabbit, you can see another man in the room, and that’s Neil Gaiman, one of the authors 😊
(Sorry if I made any mistakes, English is not my first language, greetings and love from Mexico ❤)
The struggle to not binge this series is real. I love it so much I have Aziraphale's angel wings mug, Good Omens stickers all over my car and an Aziraphale plush. I have Zero Chill with this show lol
I just watched the last two episodes in anticipation on your reaction!
12:40 - Historically, witch hunters believed that witches had a third nipple that a familiar demon could use to drink blood from. In practice any sort of wart or even scuff would pass for "evidence" when a witchfinder wanted to find it. Shadwell, who sincerely believes in everything written about witches, takes it more literally.
