      Hi Mark and thanks. As an Ethera user with the loyalty code and with the sale on it will be extremely good value this weekend if you decide to splash out.

    Beautiful sounding track, explained as always with patience and in considerable detail pointing out things that I certainly would have missed. Sahara Voices is a great addition to the Ethera Gold collection and your Composition can surely have only helped their sales. Thank you Darren.

      Thanks for those kind words. It is a beautifully crafted set of libraries that Stefano and Clara have created for us all to enjoy.

      Thank you so much for that and also to Clara and yourself for producing such inspirational libraries for us all to use. I am already using them in most of my projects.

    Thanks for another really useful video Darren, and a great track! In Cubase you can do great things with VariAudio with the samples too - all in all, the possibilties are endless!

      Too true. I'm only just scratching the surface at the moment if I'm perfectly honest.

      Thanks. I just love it in conjunction with Ethera Gold 2.5. I think it would also compliment Eduardo Tarilonte's Ancient Era library really well.

    Loving this track and these voices--I'd buy Sahara voices right now but I use Pro Tools and only have the free version of Kontakt. I've seriously considered getting the full version (I have a Hans Zimmer drum thing that uses the free bit), but I haven't really learned Kontakt. When I saw the bit where you can change the ah and oo I was 98% sold. There's a lot of video tutorials on Kontakt, but are there any you'd recommend on basics for newbies?

      Hey there. I think Kontakt is relatively easy to pick up if you're used to the free player. Obviously if you want to do sampling with it that's a different matter but for sound libraries it is great. I use it for about 75% of my sounds at the moment. A good start is Guy Michelmore if you haven't already subscribed. Check out ua-cam.com/video/AdxX51_bflg/v-deo.html which will give you a good intro. Also I have a video on saving RAM in Kontakt which might be useful even though I did it in Kontakt 5. It is still the same process for Kontakt 6. ua-cam.com/video/EpH6gZnLIqw/v-deo.html.
      Just one other thing that is worth considering. Kontakt 6 is included if you buy Komplete from Native Instruments. Now although Komplete is probably about twice the price of Kontakt you get an absurdly massive collection of instruments, effects and other stuff with it. This is a MONSTER package and when my close friend and composer Kelly was setting up her first DAW last year I advised her to save the extra and get Komplete. Obviously if you can't stretch to it then that is that but it is truly a no brainer if you can.

      @@MoonhareStudio THANK YOU. I've seen a few of Guy's videos and somehow missed this one. Will check it out, and yours, too. I have an East West subscription so I have a ton of stuff there and have acquired libraries here and there over the last few years so I think just Kontakt 6 for now--tho I agree that's a great suggestion. I like the idea of a package like that instead of the monthly $ubscription. Also, I have the Era II Codex voices and I've always thought there had to be something I was missing in using it, but there's no manual/quickstart to be found so I've limped along poking at it to try and figure it out. (: Again, THANK YOU!

      @@LRRrocks Does Era Codex run in Kontakt or is it Engine? I have several of the Era libraries from Eduardo Tarilonte running in Engine and they are utterly amazing. My video I linked about saving RAM also goes through how that works in Engine too.

    sahara voices need delay compensation in cubase or studio one please?

    • @MoonhareStudio
      @MoonhareStudio 3 роки тому +1

      With Sahara Voices Legato if you want to lock to the grid then a track delay of 250 is recommended which is a bit more than Ethera Gold 2.5 legato which is 150. Because I rarely quantise and play it all in I don't often use a track delay and accept that my midi piano roll looks a bit weird. But that's just me and it's probably bad practice!
