Life in LA in this set is unbelievable. I think this is the best performance of Ariel's career. You can also tell how much they loved playing Black Ballerina.

First time I saw Ariel Pink, Tim Koh's hand was bandaged up and he only had like 2 fingers to fret with, and the second time I think Ariel had lost his voice before the show started... I only point these things out because they make it even more impressive that it was two of the most amazing shows I've ever seen.
Damn, what a luck i clicked on another Video from them. I listen to a lot(it's an obsession) of music and i'm into many genres and oddly enough,i never heard of them before. Can't believe it. I've rarely discovered a band these days that blows me away in so many ways as much as this group. This is a fucking pleasure for all of my senses and i' m delighted by this incredible group of artists like I haven't been in a long time. I love everything about this and will share hell out of this link. This needs to be seen and heard.
are you just finding Ariel pink? wait till you see his enormous discography. Literally a pioneer of genres and indie bedroom rock since 2000. He’s a living legend. Cheers!
Either the French paid a bunch of highly attractive people to have the time of their lives in the front row, or we've just discovered the coolest friend group of all time

No, I went and had the most incredible weekend at Route De Rock in 1998... it's a completely different vibe to any other European 'festival', a tiny thing, in one of the most beautiful places, the port of St Malo. You come here to LISTEN to the coolest bands play, in the sun, with the smell of the sea in your nostrils. Testosterone-fuelled asshole-ery is frowned upon. My main memory is being at the mixing console early in the morning, watching this bloke walking on his own across the fields until he came right up to us, and I asked, "Are you Colin?" (Greenwood), and it was! We spent the rest of the day getting shit-faced together, and singing round the campfire with Gomez till we collapsed.
I wonder why he was choosing to sing in such an awfully exaggerated, tone deaf manor when the album singing parts sound more subdued and in tune? Lotsa live AP footage like this. It's like, terrible singing on purpose. I wonder what for?

Does he ever play any songs from the doldrums live?
@@RoseanneSeason7for Kate I wait is probably the only song he’ll play from that album.
Ariel's best band lineup, and he's happy on stage for a change, and really pushing the professional thing...at his peak here...
'pom pom' era ariel is dope as hell
I miss "on-stage freakout at festival while tripping on LSD" Ariel sometimes
the good days of crazy inspiration

this is incredible, some of the best live sound i've heard, the mixers deserve medals. don bolles please kill me

Don is God
Best rendition of Four Shadows ever. Absolutely haunting. Don Bolles is absolutely on fire on the kit here

Thank you for this gift. This has got to be the best Pom Pom era set I’ve heard so far.
Not a single miss in this set. The extended jams here are fantastic
Bringing the Pom Pom set alive onstage is art in itself and this lineup delivered.

That's funny I always feel that way, like damn I should have just went to another country to catch that show! Because you love an artist so much
The Ariel Pink Experience !
Ariel (and band) at their best
Holy Moly, Life in LA wow, it's going on at my funeral...and i'm a Londoner...
I love his voice! His accent! 😫♥️
I really love this thing!
Este recital es buenísimo , me quedo con La versión en vivo de Life in LA es lo más hermoso que escuche, Kennedy en el saxo la rompe.

This is sparking memories i forgot from being too faded last time i saw them.
I've seen Kenny on every instrument at some point in this band. Love this line up, with Koh on bass. Really strong crew.
Koh is a prick and a coward. How can u say that? Hes a snake for not standing with ariel. Fuck that guy.
Thank u so much 4A.D.~!
wow this is pure fun!
partes de 32:31 me recuerdas a Jon & Vangelis - The Friends of Mr. Cairo
ambos tienen algunas similitudes. tal vez Ariel se inspiró en Vangelis. ambos son leyendas

Holy shit four shadows is so fucking sick! what effect is he using on his vocals when he does the intro part !!?
Sounds like hella reverb, delay, and pitched an octave down
Might have an H-3000 for out board fx or a few sound toys plugins if it's a digital board
spectacular performace
20:23 some crazy effect on ariel's voice sounds like a roar

Very Zappaish.
