It's so fun when you say that's MY blog. Your such a joy to watch Becky.
So cool, thanks Becky you are awesome!
You had me when you said “yes I machine bind my quilts!“ Me too!!!!
Becky, I love the way you show real world embroidery-thread breaks and all! Very helpful video!
Becky, just a tip for you if you don’t realize it, DBJJ is often running the sale where you can buy 6 sets for $12 so rather than buy 3 and pay $6 each for them, select a few more and get the discounted price. Once I realized that, I have bought many of their design sets and keep going back for more…ITH stuff is not included but is often marked down 40-50% as well.
I love the corner label idea!!! Brilliant!!!
Another great tut! Thank you!
What a fantastic idea! Thank you for taking us through the step by step for! ❤ your videos!!
I saw these other day and was thrilled! They're awesome! Thanks for the tutorial, Becky!
Such a great idea for labeling your quilts. Thanks for posting!
Finally finished watching! What a great label!
Thank you! This was great learned more about the machine, the labels , and embrilliance THANK YOU
I love the quilt labels. Thanks for showing us this Becky.
Wow, love this! Thank you. I have these labels in my cart!
Just looked at those labels today! Thanks for another great tutorial!
I have been searching for JUST THIS!!! PERFECT TIMING!! thank you Becky!!
Awesome…thanks for the demo!
Thank you Becky! Great video. Time for me to start using these beautiful labels that JuJu has created. ❤️
That was fun! Thanks for the demo. The 10-needle is phenomenal!
I’m so happy you did this video. I wasn’t aware JuJu had quilt labels. Now I can get my labels done quickly and ready to go on the quilt before binding is put on.
I always get excited when I see a new video is posted.
Another great video. Thank you for sharing your thread mishap! Love how you work through problems!
I just bought these this week! Great timing on this video.
SUPER HELPFUL!!! Thank you!!!
Hi Becky! Thanks for tutorial. I will be needing this lesson soon. Your videos are awesome!
Just seen this video was 11 months ago so you needed 2022 😀
"THANKYOU SO MUCH" I finished my quilt 64X84 with all your help . You showed me how Quilt End to End . I purchased the Monster magnetic 8x8 hoop for my Journey and for the first time I used my Embrilliance and used the JUJU Handmade Label .You gave us step by step to transfer BX files to Embrilliance . That Label was Beautiful. Thankyou again . I'll look for you on my Next Project.
I love the labels. I’ll be adding them to my order. Once again, great demonstrations for Embrillance and how to use the Snowman.
Awesome video!!! Thanks. Gonna go look at designs by Ju Ju !!
So interesting! Thank you for doing this tutorial.
Great video Becky! Really appreciate the details
Thanks so much - I saw the labels on Juju but after you showed they are a definite 'add to cart' !
Thank you for working through your misshaps on video. Makes me feel so much better about when things happen when I work. These are the examples we need to see you work through. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Just ❤️ it!!
Great Video. I just got this file this week. Thank you!
Enjoyed watching your video. Thank you.
This was extremely helpful, thank you
Becky that was a fabulous video. You are such a blessing to us all. There's nothing like seeing how things are done versus reading it on paper. Love and Blessings my friend.
OMG THE WAY u talk and teach U ARE SO nice!!!! SO CALM
Thank you 😊
Just in time, I want to start making my case for a multi-needle. I love the labels and your binding is flawless. I'm still terrified of binding. Fingers crossed this year. Lol
Thanks for the demonstrations on using Embrillance and the Snowman. I’ll be purchasing the labels.
Love JuJu Designs. I add designs to my wish list during the month and then purchase at the end. I always seem to end up with enough to get the monthly extra items for free. They always stitch out beautifully.
Geepers! I just purchased these today too! What a great deal!
Awesome!
I'm so happy you did this video as I was thinking about purchasing those labels.. Now I will go ahead and purchase them. After watching one of your tutorials with the Dime mat.. I also purchased one myself. And I agree... Absolutely LOVE it!!
love the pants, they fit perfectly and the fabric is very creative.
I so enjoyed this video, learned so much, so happy you are doing what you do best!!!! Teaching us step by step through the world of technology that is now a large part of the sewing world. No one does it better than you. It is what has made you a favorite to all us!!!
Becky your quilt is beautiful, I like the labels
I just saw the labels on the Designs by JuJu site like yesterday!
Oh man, I need that software. I would love to put these on my quilts. Thanks for posting.
I had to stop the video & get this design right now!
Thank you Becky I definitely would love embroidery tutoring. I am new to it and would love all the help you can give. Thank you again.
Perfect timing, I've been looking at those labels - such a nice collection and, of course, they're DBJJ. I didn't realize to download to the folder - thanks for the tip.
Me, too
Yes, please, please do more tutorials on using embrilliance with the sewing machine. I was gifted Embrilliance, learned the basics, but thought it is just for digitizing original designs. I have a Baby lock Destiny and was so excited to see what you do with it and the digitizing software. I am going to click that bell and hope you do more! You do great instructional videos. And correcting problems while filming, is an excellent learning tool for us.
So happy you are doing a corner label and putting in the binding. Feel more confident t try now
Than
K you Becky I really like how you s
How and tell what your doing . So so helpful to see it done for me
How cool is that?? I don't make any big quilts, but these labels can be put in any size quilts or wall hangings too that are going to be given away. Thanks for the informative video. ps I used the same fabric on KB's Cuties for Feb and that dang bias cut gave me all sorts of problems til I stabilized it better. Good idea about adding the SF 101 while still in progress. You are full of great ideas and tips!!
Thank you
I really enjoyed this video! I still haven't tried my Embroidery machine. I need to get busy!
Great video
I am so glad you covered this. I don;t own an embroidery machine so those videos are not always that relevant to me. But I am in the “thinking about” the embroidery machine purchase based on likes and needs stage, lol. So this meets a “need” and a “want”.
In my world, an embroidery machine is a 'need'. Because of this pandemic, if I didn't have my stitching to bring me joy, I'd be insane by now. So my sanity is totally worth the expense of a machine. :) Perspective my friend!
Thanks!
Hi, I'm a newbie with embroidery and your site was recommended to me by another person who does embroidery. So thank you and I look forward to learning some interesting things from you.
I NEED THAT T-SHIRT!! Lol!!
Great labels, good info. Thanks for the tutorial. Green Bananas
Great tutorial! Thank you for keeping it real by dealing with the thread break on the video so we can see how you dealt with it. Helpful to see how many stitches you went back.
Great video. I've had trouble using the snowman sticker. Thank you for this super close tutorial. I think I see were I went wrong the few times I tried it. Going to prop my laptop right next to my machine & "get er done"😊.
The snowman really needs to be as close to center as you can get it. The machine takes into account the outside edges of the design and if the snowman is too far off center, and then outside edges of the design get too close to the hoop, then it will not work right. Frustrating to be sure! But the closer you start to center, the better.
I have the same problem with those darn smowmen. I made a couple some squsres to practice on. Took a few tries, but I eorked it out.
Dear Becky I was so sad to hear you can not come to Sew Yeah. I have been looking forward to meeting you. I understand of course that you're not willing to take a chance with your health.
I watch you all the time and you have taught me a great deal about working on my computer. I enjoy your style, so relaxed. That translates to me so I don't lose it when something goes wrong.
I just say "What would Becky do?" Hopefully I will get to meet you in the future. Keep up the good work! Maureen
I needed to know about font sizes. Thanks.
So cute
Thanks so much for showing how to use Embrilliance. I’ve had it for years and still don’t really know how to use it appropriately.
love your show. I run a small business in my home / I do repairs on old quilts and small embroidery jobs. I hit one of my straight pins while doing a job. My repair shop advised using tape, Painters tape. I used it on a client's baby quilt last night ( baby's name in the middle of the quilts) I did not want to leave residue or pin marks. It worked beautifully. I wish somebody would make a water-soluble tape just for embroidery
Here you go my friend! Wash-away tape just for you! bit.ly/3qfRSPb
Nice label, hope mine comes out as nice, fingers crossed! 😂
Hi Becky. I just purchased the label designs yesterday. Thanks for the tutorial. I appreciate that you also showed it on Spanky as I am thinking about buying a multi needle machine. I’m on the fence to be honest. Barb from Buffalo
I adore the multi-needle simply bc I don't have to change threads!
OMG I am so glad you showed how to handle things when thread breaks, etc. I panic and sweat over this when using my BL Destiny. I panic when I have to download a design. I have a quilting pattern edge to edge that I still have not used because I am chicken! LOL but I am determined to over come this in 2022. I am going to rewatch your video on computer downloads and over come my fears!! Thank you
I will always leave those type of events in my videos. I think it's important for you to see them, to know that they happen, and to know how to fix them. That knowledge will help you overcome your fear. I even had a needle fall out in one of my videos! No worries! All turned out fine.😊
Thank you so much for the video. I can’t wait to try them. Beautiful quilt. Do you have a link to the pattern. I have that fabric and now I know what to do with it.
I am in the middle of watching this video and have a placement tip using the snowman sticker. Place double stick tape on the back of the printed template….put the snowman directly over the crosshairs on the paper template. Position the template on the fabric with the double stick tape. The machine will find the snowman. Learned this trick in a Floriani sewing school class a few years ago. A game changer👏👏
That's a great tip Cheryl! Thank you! I'm totally going to show this as an option next time I demo the snowman. Thank you!
@@PowerToolsWithThread You are very welcome. I used to cut a hole out of my template to put the snowman sticker in the hole so I could see exactly where my template fell on my fabric. Was talking to Kay Brooks of RnK Distributing and told her i was doing that and she is the one who said the machines would read the snowman directly on top of the template...to my surprise, IT WORKED. So much easier.
Love watching your videos.......you sew so much like ME!!!
Coowee, Becky and Keith hope you are having a beautiful New Year. Thanks Becky for making this mistake on purpose so that we would learn from you. I did buy my Scan and Cut and designs so my new year is great. The other brand I bought I couldn't use because it all had to be done on the computer, my sister-in-law has it. You make everything so easy. Am still very miffed that I can't have another of Keith's wonderful seam rippers fully understand why, but still miffed. You could have waited a month for me before the cut off date, OH WELL. Still love you both. God Bless you both. Alda Perth West. Australia
Hi! I was wondering about you lately. Glad to hear from you!
@@PowerToolsWithThread I was sulking because Keith shattered my dreams over the 2nd seam ripper. Na. Just joshing, 😁 arm and hand not working properly need to stop vacuuming washing cloths, I wish. Have to do a load of preemie baby quilt blankets and hearts for charity so will be busy until middle of Feb. This wont stop me watching you. I have a Janome Digitizer Jr, V5 and I want to do your style of applique, do I need to start from scratch or will Simply Applique work? ❤ Alda.
nice
Becky. I love this and I did purchase this and you’ve helped navigate this and Embrilliance greatly. I did have a problem with just the stitching around the design. It looped up and the thread broke several times. It could’ve been that thread I used?? The rest looked great, so whatcha think?
Hi Becky, that’s a beautiful quilt! Love the colours too. Please could you tell me if you stitched across the diagonal fold of the label when fixing it to the quilt corner? 😍
Hi Carol, no I used Stitch Witchery to seal the triangle closed. :)
Should you always have a embroidery program such as Embrilliance? I am new to all this but want to use my machine more this year and personalize things.
I'm brand new to machine embroidery so please forgive my ignorance - but how did you do the "print out" of the embroidery pattern? I've looked all over PE Design for a "print" feature and do not see one :( I REALLY appreciated your video. Thank you for being so detailed and REAL like Cindy said - so appreciate that! "What do we do about this?" is my favorite way to learn!
Curious why you used pins instead of tape? So LOVE your videos by the way!
That quilt is gorgeous. What are the fabrics, you used. I especially love that backing. Thanks for this tutorial. It’s helped me, alot
That fabric is from a line called Hustle Bustle and it's at the Fat Quarter Shop.
Ohhh Becky this was Wonderful. Thank you. I Have to ask…. What. Was that one design of Santa with the Christmas lights? I am making a table runner with the Quilt design by Lori Holt of her Light Bulbs…. That design would make an Awesome label to put on this runner for my daughter. Also…. Where did you purchase it from. Thanks soooo much. 😉
Great video I would love to see more on your embroidery machine videos I have this same 10 needle. What was the mat you used to center your hope?
Thank you! Here's the mat you're looking for. Love this thing! www.shop.dzgns.com/collections/designs-in-machine-embroidery-snap-hoop-hooping-systems/products/hoop-mat?p=S1z1p1FgS
You mentioned in your video about using the magnetic bobbins. Can you refill them?? I'm curious what you use if you are doing free standing lace and need to match the bobbin thread to the top thread.
I usually only do FSL in white with the magnetic bobbins. That keeps it simple. If I do a color, I wind my own bobbin with the same thread as the top. Works perfect.
I love DDBJ quarter inch fonts for quilts labels! Do you a use a different weight thread when stitching smaller fonts? I find the smaller size isn’t as crisp.
Using a different thread totally depends on how the font looks. In the video, I chose several different 1/4" fonts and they all kerned at different intervals. I'd use a thinner thread for those that are pretty tight together. I used a standard 40 wt for mine and it worked out fine. Thanks for watching!
That would e me for sure lol!
my machine is not a brother. But that little notch tool that helps you thread your machine., would be helpful to us all. Any idea where I can get that?
Also, the bobbin, do you find better performance without the spring? Inquiring minds would like to know. 😊
My Brother technician told me that that if you have the magnetic bobbins then the spring is not needed in the bobbin case. If you are not using magnetic bobbins then you do need the spring in the bobbin case. I have not had any trouble at all with the magnetic bobbins without the spring. I have perfect tension on this machine.
@@PowerToolsWithThread I am using the magnetic bobbin. Thank you so much for your reply
Can you tell me where I can get the pattern for this quilt? I would love to make it
Love the label but a question...do you have to have software to add the name/date?
Not necessarily. If you can fit the letters in that might coming inside your machine, then you can do it that way.
Since Bernina Q20 is totally out of my price range, what would you suggest as my first machine? I have Viking, Bernina and baby lock sewing machines.
You might consider the Brothe NQ3700. It's a mid-priced combo machine that has the same interface as your Baby Lock so it will look very familiar.
Will you do a tutorial on binding by machine?
I did one years ago, but I should probably do an updated one.
Can you show how you setup the transfer in embrillance for sending designs to the machine with embrillance? Not just the design but the whole thing in the software. I can figure it out how to for my 10 needle. Hope that makes sence.
Is this what you are asking about? ua-cam.com/video/WlttjTah4T0/v-deo.html
@@PowerToolsWithThread thank you that was helpful. So you don’t to put it in embrillance ?
So enjoyed that loved the label and the corner idea into your binding I always machine mine too. 🧵
What size square do I need for this size label?
How did you get Embrillance Thumbnail
