      As an American Filipino living in the Philippines I don't understand why the PBA players and OFW's leave their country to play somewhere else instead of fixing their PBA league and country so they can get paid more. Number one, why does the PBA predominantly play in metro manila instead of having teams in other cities in the Philippines so that there would be local teams making rivalrieas and team loyalties. That would generate more revenue from other markets, that would make sense right? Imagine a Cebu team playing a Zamboanga team, that would be fire. But instead of fixing your league,you people never fix anything and leave your own country for a better country. That's weak man!

      @@MARCBEA1 There is a league for every city in the Philippines, MPBL. That's not a weak man, this is what you call opportunity. Its like a human offering a bread to a dog and the other human offering a bread with a milk. I think you know this, the difference between PH to other countries.
      And also just an info, PBA teams are owned by big companies here in the Ph, that is why it is not per city. Although, I agree with what you said that the PBA should do that per city team but I think its a long shot unless team owners want to do that way.

    • @MARCBEA1
      @MARCBEA1 Місяць тому

      @eakobe99 Ya man, I mean if you have a major team in every city it would generate so much more interest. But I think what holds you people back is the politicks where they don't want to share revenues and not thinking of the big picture of working together instead of against each other. That's what I noticed here in the Philippines there is not alot of working together and cooperation and progress is really slow compared to other countries.

      @@MARCBEA1 btw there is such a league, it's the MPBL, Manny Pacquiao's basketball league, let's ask them if they are generating revenue. Most of the teams are hermorrhaging money and some can't even pay for the players' salaries. Maybe as an American Filipino who cares so much about Philippine basketball you can bankroll a basketball team because young basketball players surely cannot.
