    Thank you so much for speaking out for the victims! I get so tired of hearing that the pastors have to be restored, no they don't. They need to repent first and foremost, step down for several years or for good. The victims need healing and are the ones who need to be restored. I think it's wrong of the "church" to make them out to be the bad guy and oust them! If leaders do not humble themselves, repent, change their ways, then how can we expect there to be revival? This could go on, but I am so grateful for you and your husband, and for speaking out for the victims! Blessings!

    The issue is, Nobody seeks God anymore! People just appoint people to do this and appoint people to do that and most of them obviously DONT have the spirit of discernment. How could you NOT seek God about putting someone to help you in your ministry?

    Dear Arleen, I am happy to hear about adjustments in accountability structures. I do believe there’s lots of room for a course to raise up mentors in this respect. Throughout the years I asked several people to mentor me and my husband. They all said no! Yes we were in different groups and had some mentoring going on there, but that is different than private one on one mentoring. I strongly believe mentoring should be part of any of the fivefold ministries. I also believe it should be more than just a talk every now and then. I enjoyed your weekly encouragement again Arleen! Blessings and warm greetings ❤

    I live in Tennessee but go to church in Huntsville, Al. My pastor is an Apostle. He just recently passed away and i was so sad because i have been accountable to him for yrs. But God gave me a dream a few yrs ago about him passing, but i knew it wasnt a physical death yet. God had showed me he had already put someone in his olace to take over ince he did pass. This man is black man and my pastor is white. We have more African American going to our church than white. I know how important it is to be accountable to someone and thank the Lord he showed me Apostle tim taking his place because did worry some about it at times knowung Apostle Edmond was getting older. Your right. Its very important even if not in ministery, but especially if in ministery.

    Not judgment, but truth. My heart is truly grieved that the church is responsible for wounding its own members and allowing sin to go unchecked in its midst.

  • @mimisart
    @mimisart Місяць тому +2

    I agree with being accountable, but that tier ends somewhere too…so if you’re at the top of the pyramid, who are you accountable to then? And what if there’s corruption and crap (just calling a spade a spade here) in those higher levels as well…I’m not saying accountability is a bad thing, I do believe in it, but nothing is ever airtight now though is it…🧐
    A lot of youngsters rise up and walk in great anointing, but as you mentioned, anointing is useless and dangerous without character. So they rise up and then crash and burn. Are being pushed out too soon due to excitement (or being blind sighted) of their anointing.
    Whatever happened to the reverent fear of the Lord? That when you start singing/worshipping/praying the ‘simple’ words of ‘holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty’ there’s nothing more one can do then fall flat on their face and weep and be in awe of how great our God really is. Church has become an entertainment hub (speaking in general here) a place of comparison and measuring of gifts and anointings. A lot of sin gets covered by that mantle of grace and is not properly dealt with. Some things have NO place in the Body of Christ and need to be cut off and burnt. The gauntlet will come down eventually and I’d rather be on the righteousness side…(ok, soap box moment done 😅). Love ya Arleen. Miss you heaps and I’m praying for you and yours.

    People need to learn how to read the bible for themselves. This is what happens when people idolise others.

    • @ArleenWesterhof
      @ArleenWesterhof  Місяць тому +1

      I agree with you partially. All through the Bible God has raised up leaders and there’s nothing wrong with honoring them. However, when leaders pull away from accountability, and when this who are supposed to hold them accountable don’t, then we have a problem.

    • @Elph89-jf4fk
      @Elph89-jf4fk Місяць тому

      @@ArleenWesterhof if we do not hold ourselves accountable to our God who knows what we do in secret, I don’t believe the authority of men can overcome that.
      It comes down to a heart issue, the reality is, we are all held accountable to our own actions and how we respond to these circumstances. That’s why it’s integral to posture our heart, our knowledge, and understanding to the authority of Christ.
      The church is like a hospital, everyone is ill or suffers from a condition/incident to varying degrees and needs healing, even doctors are not immune to the nature of being a human.
      We have all been given the Holy Spirit, the church is there to give us the tools to become disciples. If we postured ourselves to seek the word for ourselves and not idolise our leaders as Apostle Paul warns, people would less likely to go through Church hurt.
      1 Cor 12: 31 says “love is indispensable” in 1Cor 12 it talks about the body and that you can have these gifts and there are these different roles, but without love it means nothing.
      We can only understand true love by looking to Christ, by knowing who our God is.
      That’s why I say if people read the word(they would know God) and do not idolise others(they would understand why Jesus died for OUR sins, including Pastors etc)
      Everyone in the church should be held accountable, because the church is one body and everyone has a part to safeguard themselves and others.
      What would it really look like we loved our neighbour in true biblical terms. Even Apostle Paul wrote to the members of the church, not just the leaders.
      This is my observational opinion, let’s not treat the symptoms let’s go to the roots. ❤
