UA-cam it. But briefly a dehumidifier REMOVES water from the air so you do not add water to the bucket. It takes the water from the air and puts it in the bucket for you to dump down a drain. You only need a hose if you do NOT want to dump the bucket, then you rout the hose to a drain for the water to empty in to. Hope this helps.
I have the same dehumidifier, but I need the manual. Do you know the model number?… the dehumidifier won’t drain through the hose even though I have it connected(it still fills the bucket)

Where’s the filter?
When you pull the collection bucket out, it's above, on the inside, on the inside top.
