The lack of lyrics is actually a refreshing change from all of the angst-filled, broody covers the other groups did. Sure, lyrics would be nice, but honestly, the fact that they put some real effort into the instrumental region makes up for all. Some of the best music I've heard was so complex it couldn't have even left room for words.
There is a lyric. Or two. At about 1:54-ish, there's a line from the movie: "So what are you going to do?" "I'm gonna do the best I can." Pretty creepy sounding too.
This is probably my favorite track on the whole CD. I love Amy Lee's version of "Sally's Song" too, but the guitar playing in this is just too amazing. I think it was a great idea to have this group remake this song instead of another rock/punk group, there seem to be plenty more of those to be found on the soundtrack. I love how fast-paced and energetic this tune is.
Would have been interesting if they got Avenged Sevenfold to do this. I think M.Shadows has the right kind of voice for a rock vocal version of the Bogey Man.
If any of you are wanting to hear the actual lyrics with this music, I've done a version myself that tries to stay true to the original song. Check it out and see for yourself!
This is probably my favorite on the album. It reminds me of a guitar trio. It still captures the sleazy tone of Oogie Boogie, while providing a different sound.
if my boyfriend wasnt sleeping next to me right now i would be blasting this song and dancing in my living room super joyously :D instead i will settle for nearly falling out of my seat dancing awesomely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I never lost where they were at, i've been watching this movie repeatedly since i was like 3 or 4 years old (i'm 19 now) and i could follow along perfectly singing it myself
agree that the lyrics were the best part of the original song, but i can still enjoy listening to it. especially since i know the movie so well i was just singing along anyway ;D
I really want to watch two professionals dance the Pasodoble to this. This is the perfect version of this song for it. So much feeling and power behind those guitars.
this song reminds me of that movie they show u in school about the lost city of gold and the two spanish people act like gods, like in the begginning when the violins start
I actualy love this..no one dares do ken pages' song. they just honor it by doing a bad ass acoustic. It rcks, there's so much liveliness and beat to it!
A shot of absolute ecstasy ran throughout my body when they add lyrics for the first and only time in the song, and by the end, I could've sworn I was making love to the video.
Original. Super !
Amazing at how many comments are crying out for singing. If that's all you're after, go and listen to the original. This is a revisited version, not just a simple cover. It was arranged and performed with great skill, more than most of you so eager to bash will ever have. Music and ideas can be expressed in more than just words, if you can't understand that then get thee to Trash-Pop, they made it for you. This version expresses, in tone and composition, very well the lyrics of the original.
out of all the tracks for this cd I have heard, this is my favorite. I just didn't like any of the other renditions at all. But this is just so awesome with the guitar and the drums :] I want to learn out to play this lol.
On second though, this is great. All because of that little part. "So what are you gunna do? I'm going to do the best I can..." :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDD That was the best two voices to choose....
Your passion propels me to agree with you. I have no idea who Rodrigo and Gabriella are, but now I would like to thanks to this song. It is a very fantastic cover.
I know, everybody wants the actuall song, me too, but still, whoever makes the "singing" with the guitarr or mandolin or whatever it is, is hella' skilled.
that awkward moment when your singing in your bedroom to music and your dad walks in and says dinners ready. :O Then your face goes all :B or :O. hahaha
Advanced level 1 of Marbleblast Gold + This song = AWESOME. I beat the level again. Barely. It was 2 seconds under the limit. This song was distracting me. LOVING THE EPICAL GUITAR-NESS!!!!
Only Tim Burton can make evil happy and chipper. This song with a salsa-ish vibe is brimstone hot.
Fair point :)
TIm had nothing to do with the music you dork
you mean Danny Elfman
@@DevinSeeleyDevilO you are correct good sir, I tip my hat in respect.
"So what are you going to do!?"
"I'm gonna do the best i can"
Love that part in the movie.
The lack of lyrics is actually a refreshing change from all of the angst-filled, broody covers the other groups did.

It's like a Mexican showdown
vdplascencia Rodrigo y Gabriela guitar pleyers
Yessssss!
I sat and waited for the singer to sing the whole time.. XDDDD
These Guitars are Really good, but I personally miss the lyrics and all the other instruments too much.... :(

EVERY FANDOM SHUT UP AND ENJOY THE MUSIC!!!!
thank you
Music or not, every fandom just shut up.
No
There is a lyric. Or two.

Pretty creepy sounding too.
I only heard "What are you going to do?" and, "I'm gonna do the best I can." They should've sang for it, that would've been cool.
Anyone else think the beginning of this song sounds like the beginning of Tarzan?
I'm gonna do the best I can ~~
Rodrigo y Gabriela=the gods of classical guitar. I am in love with every one of their songs. especially this one. it's a good cover :)
This is probably my favorite track on the whole CD. I love Amy Lee's version of "Sally's Song" too, but the guitar playing in this is just too amazing. OMG YAS
......You are a wonderful person. This must be a thing. Yes. YES
Valkyrie KnightX7 no
tool should have done it
Tool or Avenged Sevenfold would either do well n.n
Not that I don't love this.
But I really do wish the made a version where the song is acutally sung.
This kinda reminds me of Pirates the carribeam in some parts
Rodrigo y Gabriela did some arrangements for the fourth pirates movie
If any of you are wanting to hear the actual lyrics with this music, I've done a version myself that tries to stay true to the original song. Check it out and see for yourself!
Nice! I’ve always wanted lyrics to this masterpiece of a cover.
Tiger army actually has a good version of this song. With lyrics and all
I can't stop listening to it!
One of the couples on Dancing With the Stars should do a paso doble to this.
CraftyLittleDevil it sounds better with Nikki
This is probably my favorite on the album. It reminds me of a guitar trio. It still captures the sleazy tone of Oogie Boogie, while providing a different sound.
if my boyfriend wasnt sleeping next to me right now i would be blasting this song and dancing in my living room super joyously :D instead i will settle for nearly falling out of my seat dancing awesomely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a shame that there are no vocals for this one, I think Marilyn Manson would have a perfect voice for this
definitely.
As I saw the movie in French, I prefered to heard Till Liedeman as Mr Oogie Boogie, could be awesome
Yassss that or System of a Down
Izzy Dizzy Oh God yes !!!!
Izzy Dizzy yeah
no way?! Damn! They are freaking awesome!!! Definitely will have to check out his other work.
It's like, wherever you go, whatever you try to do, Homestuck will be there. Waiting.
And I
Hetalia fandom says "Ciao."
Hazbin Hotel fandom says hello
When you know the song by heart you don't need lyrics to make this awesome
1:51 is SO AWESOME. adding so much to the whole feeling of the song.
Nice song but what's with all the dead air after it?
yup thats them. I used to own the CD (but I was stupid and gave it away).
Everyone be like this needs lyrics. The music speaks for itself. I actually like this version best it's super creepy
This song, is what Oogie and his minions can really dance too!
I never lost where they were at, i've been watching this movie repeatedly since i was like 3 or 4 years old (i'm 19 now) and i could follow along perfectly singing it myself
... Rodrigo y Gabriella?
Yes
agree that the lyrics were the best part of the original song, but i can still enjoy listening to it. especially since i know the movie so well i was just singing along anyway ;D
i love rodrigo and gabriela! this was an amazing cover. even without words. :]
this is actually one of the sickest songs on the whole album if ya ask me.
I really want to watch two professionals dance the Pasodoble to this. This is the perfect version of this song for it. So much feeling and power behind those guitars.
best version ever, lets you hear the true emotion behind the lyrics. GUITARS ARE FUCKING EPIC
A flamenco Oogie Boogie... ? Gorgeous, innovative.
i need to see a video of someone playing this on classical guitar because i just realized it's probably so hard
Love these guitarists! This is so cool!
This was one of my favorite songs from the original so I was VERY depressed to hear this version...how ever the album as a whole rocks!
I'm not a hater i just like music with lyrics
I bought this cd..man this is my faveorite song on the disc....really gets me going!!
the guitar work is amazing and technical. I am very impressed!
this song reminds me of that movie they show u in school about the lost city of gold and the two spanish people act like gods, like in the begginning when the violins start
I actualy love this..no one dares do ken pages' song. they just honor it by doing a bad ass acoustic. It rcks, there's so much liveliness and beat to it!

Best part at 2:45 :))
ya i myself would like to hear them sing in this. it would definatly sound good with how well they played the guitar to it.
Never knew I needed this, now I can’t stop listening to it
beautiful version.
Well I for one like this version, its got a jazzy funky feeling. And as we all know Oogie was one funky fella. ;)
This Boogie Man used to scare me when I was younger. No I laugh at it. This song is so good!
Original.

I AM LOVING THIS! I need to get this album!
out of all the tracks for this cd I have heard, this is my favorite. I just didn't like any of the other renditions at all.

There are no drums🙃Just two guitars. Rodrigo y Gabriela are amazing❤️💗
On second though, this is great. All because of that little part. "So what are you gunna do? I'm going to do the best I can..." :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDD That was the best two voices to choose....
I like this. I really do. There is absolutely no reason Voltaire could not have recorded the cover.
This and Sally's song are probably the best tracks on this album. Can't stop listening to it. XD
whooooooooooooooooooooooo Halloween whooooooooo !!!!! oogie boogie
I love instrumentals, but I was hoping for a song, this was my favorite one in the movie
Your passion propels me to agree with you. I have no idea who Rodrigo and Gabriella are, but now I would like to thanks to this song. It is a very fantastic cover.
No Voltaire for Oogie Boogie's Song = Missed Moment Of Awesome.
I know. I friggen love them. The two of them rock. ^_^
Disney never runs out of money, like all of their princesses from the 90's they just want more.
UA-cam: "What are you going to do!?"
Rodrigo y Gabriela: "We're gonna do the best we can!"
i'm glad they didn't have vocals with this because there is nothing like oogie boogie's voice for this song.
OH MY GOD THE GUITAR AT THE BEGINING WAS THE BEST PART!!!! ITS FUCKING GREAT!!!!!!!!!!
I know, everybody wants the actuall song, me too, but still, whoever makes the "singing" with the guitarr or mandolin or whatever it is, is hella' skilled.
*Hears that part too* Wow, that is creepy, but well pulled off.
rodrigo y gabriela are amazing!!
this is a really great instrumental version. I really they added in lyrics.
Rodrigo and Gabriela... pretty awesome the rithym!
it doesn't need lyrics. the guitarist in this are beyond amazing!
If you want one with lyrics, listen to the one done by Tiger Army. They were included in the album on iTunes. Track 21
that awkward moment when your singing in your bedroom to music and your dad walks in and says dinners ready.

This is a real headbanger

wicked song and riffs
I think I heard an interview in which he said he planned to do an album of covers of his favorite songs. So at least one song will be from TNBC
~falls asleep before the lyrics even come~ -..,-'
we listen to the song for 2mins and 45secs,
haha but i guess we have the option to stare at the album art for almost eight minutes!
Bad-ass guitar playing!
