Boy times have sure changed . . . when I first started going down there the locals were VERY protective of areas along the lower river. If you had CA plates on your rig it was like an open invitation for break-ins. There was a point where some a-holes were actually placing chunks of concrete in some of the shallow pinch-point areas leading into the backwaters to wreck your prop. One time we were fishing a narrow backwater channel . . . I snagged some really heavy mono line . . . I hand-lined it in and it kept coming and coming . . . probably pulled in 50+ yards. When I came to the end I noticed it was attached to BOTH sides of the bank. Someone had actually taken the time to tie the line off on both sides of the bank and set it up as a trap to wind-up in someones prop and wreck their lower unit seal. After that we'd always drag a stick under water off the bow when we entered any backwaters. I found 1 more a couple years later in a different area that was like 100# braid . . . I actually missed it with the stick, but saw the line pull across the surface out of the corner of my eye. Luckily I was idling & trimmed way up and caught it. Even still I had to pull to the bank, get out & pull my prop off to unwind the mess. Looks like things have cleaned up a bit down there now which is good. . Good times, brings back memoriees !
Cool video man Yuma is a little too far south for me but I'd like to get down to Havasu before too long. Hey with your affiliation with do-it please ask them to make a poison tail spinnerbait mold so I don't have to modify one 😂
Havasu will always be my favorite, but Mead is a VERY close second.
Havasu isn’t what it used to be!
I agree. Havasu has some of the best fishing.

Just did 3 days at Martinez and a day at Parker. Parker was good, Martinez was tough to get big bites.
I would love to get back to Parker. Only fished there once
do you like fishing Mitry any good ?
Not sure where the best spot is….but we’re about to find out next week in 75/80 degree weather my boy! 🎣 launching out of fishers next week
Go get em!
Why did you take a parking lot shower when you could’ve taken a hot shower inside Love’s? 😂
I looked into that but i couldn’t tell if it was only for truckers or not
